Green green is one of the worst, yeah.
Not even the fanservice is good, and that was its selling point.
SAO, because it has budget, it has cast, it has planning and everything that means it should in theory not be terrible... yet it is, they literally adapted some teenage fantasy, and it didn't go through an editor to make it bearable.
I don't remember 2040 being terrible though. Maybe I was too young to understand why it was bad.
