I don't even know who greenlit this episode. Last season was garbage until the last two episodes, and most of this season has been passable, up until this point. This episode was just awful. Literally every scene has something that stands out as literal fucking trash. Guts swaying from side to side quickly, characters moving slightly when they're not moving at all, apostles changing without any animation attached to it, etc.

Does anyone else think that this latest chapter is probably the best Berserk has been in a very long time? The implications for future stuff in 350 were pretty far reaching. I wasn't expecting Schierke and Farnese to be completely caught up on the events of Golden age.

Also, the fact that the treatment is working as well Casca just said SOMETHING aside from incoherent gargling in almost 250 chapters. . This entire chapter gave me everything I like about Berserk; the dark imagery, a sense of hopelessness and regret, a look back at the characters we all love so much. I actually got a little bit sad reading this release.

Which leads me onto a question /a/. Is Berserk getting good again?

As much I'd like to see Skull Knight wreck some shit, we all know that Griffith's downfall will be a byproduct of his fragile ego. We already know that the moment that Apostles are reminded of their own mortality, they get just as weak and pathetic as any other pissant mook in Berserk.

- Any of the scrub level apostles

- Even Grunbeld, to an extent
The only exceptions to this rule are the true zealots like Mozgus,Nosferatu Zodd (A man who feared nothing, even before becoming an apostle, though this is implicit) and the 4 other members of the Godhand.

It's obvious that this is going to play into Femto's destruction. It's been set up way too heavily.

Fair enough for the RPG party, but they seem to be an excuse for Guts to learn how to care for people again. He spent years as the Black Edgelordsman, where he no friends except a gay ass glowing acorn with healing properties. None of the new cast members are worse than Puck.
I don't mind them. I want most of them to fuck off and take supporting roles in other locations like Rickert, but we can't get everything we want. Without the RPG party, we wouldn't have gotten the setup for the current events of the Manga. Which are fucking great, fyi.

The obvious conclusion of Berserk is that Griffith underestimates Guts to an absurd degree, and Guts manages to wound him either physically, or hit Griffith's pride. Because of this event, Griffith will doubt himself for an instant, and will fall the fuck apart. He'll realise what he did, he'll go back to being the scared child we saw glimpses of during the Golden age (and he'll start lusting after guts dick again, probably.) It'll be the end of Femto. Will it mean the end of the idea of evil? Probably not.
Will it mean the very principles of the god hand will implode? Maybe.
