High fantasy just means it is set in a fictitious world with different rules than our own. And this series is actually pretty good at world building compared to most high fantasy LNs and their adaptations. So often you just see a big exposition dump at the start then it dives into standard cliches for romance, harems, adventure etc. That's especially the case with high fantasy battle harems. It ends up not really mattering that it's high fantasy and it could be set on earth for all that it matters. At least with this series the world feels more alive and noticeably different.

Yes, that's what it means. Lots of people have misconceptions about high and low fantasy and don't really know what they refer to. High fantasy means it has a constructed fictitious world, and as a result it will have fundamentally different rules for how stuff works. Low fantasy is either set on Earth or a setting almost exactly like it. That's the logic applied to the entire setting. Low fantasy pulls from reality to fill in gaps, high fantasy creates from scratch and so has to explain things to the audience.
