the characters in Demichans are a bit deeper, but the character design in Maidragon is less vanilla.
Both have cute girls doing cute things, but demichans is more down to earth with the comedy whereas Maidragon goes all out on the silliness.

It's probably the best monster girl anime/manga, but there isn't a season 2 because they kind of caught up with the manga. Couple years and it might get more though.
