Well the publisher probably looked at MT and went "This is an isekai story, THE isekai story, we better cater to the isekai kids" and went full crazy cliche which is exactly what they did.

On the other hand, look at Overlord. Thanks to the publishers easily identifying "Oh hey this is probably not for kids, cause it's quite gruesome and long winded, let's just make it more long winded and fabulous and add some more waifus"

It's all about how the publisher wants to brand your story as a product. Unfortunately MT is in a weird spot. You got lots of ecchi perverted action, an MC who regularly monologues about sex and stuff, but at the end of the day it's about him growing up as a kid into a family man so the publishers probably went "let's just white wash this to keep the appeal of a story about a family man and keep the perversion at the level of normal ecchi anime". I believe the reaction to the Aisha Greyrat redundancy story kinda supports their move actually, since people went ape shit all over it when in the WN, Rudeus' first action was literally getting caught fapping to his loli niece which naturally was changed in the LN/manga. Sadly that piece of information is important as it's the core reason of why Rudeus never saw Aisha in a sexual way despite acknowledging her growing body that fit his tastes, but then again it was never all that important until the deleted Redundancy arc.

All that said, I like the manga, if only cause unlike the LN the character design and art looks less stiff, especially compared to the early volumes when every woman looked like a man. Just the 10000%+ upgrade to Ghyslaine's looks wins me over.

I liked how her feelings mellowed out, but at the same time I dislike how she just suddenly loved Ars the moment she laid eyes on him as he was born. I'm not saying it's unrealistic or whatever, but it wasn't very satisfying. I dunno, I really liked the build up to the Millis Knights vs Rudy and his Gundam and how the fight happened. It was a complete steam roll but just the way everything lead up to that point was brilliant. Before you understand where Claire was coming from you'd get so fucking mad at how she's such a bitch, and all these retards come at Rudi and then he just finally stops bothering being a beta and starts romping around the place. The aftermath was great as well cause he didn't apologize or nothing, and went full xianxia MC throwing his weight around simply cause they crossed his bottom line.

I like how the characters have glaring flaws though. Claire was clearly someone who thanks to being spoiled by the few people who understood her and her family background, never found a need to change. Her family just side skirted the issue and so she never has to face herself in the mirror so to speak.

It's like an otome villainess that an MC would normally transmigrate or reincarnate into, except Claire is clearly a woman with good intentions, she's just too ignorant and stubborn and doesn't know how to see things from another perspective.

Ultimately I think Gisu is the antagonist that really irked me the most. Yeah Gisu's reason for working with Hitogami seems too far stretched. Basically the archetype that's underappreciated, like Vice Admiral Fischer in LOGH. Why would Elinalise agree to it when Roxy was available? You're basically saying you wanted Rudy to take a worse option just because when even thinking about it for 2 seconds would leave you confounded on why that would even make sense. Elinalise was fucking Cliff, and more importantly is related to Sylphy. Roxy was always Rudy's first crush, and Roxy loves him as well.

You'd basically have to use bad writing to make your scenario happen, cause it just wouldn't happen naturally in such circumstance. His father just died, and Elinalise was Paul's comrade as well as former fuck buddy. Do you really wanna fuck who your father fucked when you're trying to use sex to forget about the pain of your father dying when your childhood deity is right there offering herself?

And let's be fair here, Rudy didn't even make a decision. He was seduced at his weakest point, if fucking Talhand had some kinda magic to turn himself into a busty babe I bet he could have nailed Rudy as well at that point, but that wouldn't have been good writing, just like Elinalise.
