Imagine actually liking a Trigger show. Kill la Kill was crap, petered out at episode 11, Kiznaiver was typical okada garbage, Ninja Slayer and Luluco were memes, Little Witch Academia is mediocre and Inou Battle needed a better plot. The only really good show Trigger has done was inferno Cop, everything after that is no good, only crossoboarders and normalfags like it. Saving anime has never been Trigger's job, I'd sooner believe in Sunrise or Kyoani before I ever believe a Trigger show would make anime great again

Anon, the show was garbage and 80 percent of it was about revivisting all of Triggers old shit that only a true blue triggerfag would recognize they added nothing to the story about luluco and nova, there wasn't even any character development in those episodes. it was a disgrace, Trigger really I mean really fucking sucks at the middle of their shows, they know how to make beginnings and climaxs but not a damn thing about the middle the middle is all dicking around on nonsense until the edge shows up like Nui with Kill la Kill, Lalaco in Space Patrol and Croix in Little Witch Academia / Trigger is just young and dumb, fitting since they're only six years old not anything like Toei or Kyoani or Production CGI

Did we seriously need another story about a lone warrior rising to the top with some le trippy climatic art ending again? Oh, but this one is with strippers and is about talking garments instead of mechs so i guess its a new story.

But still, i think it was a solid anime, but i just wasnt blown away by it. One thing you have to remember is that Trigger was considered Gods at this point for TTGL and P&S, so matter what happened or what they produced, /a/ would have loved it. KLK could have been SAO and /a/ would have praised. Everything that people love it for was already done in anime and was expected.

I enjoyed it a lot especially the visuals but you could tell they had no idea what to do in the second half, they had some decent directions in the first half and it seemed like they knew where to take it but everything after the tournament isn't as good as the first half.
