It's the best proof that not all CGDCT are alike. They have to rely on

1. a cute and comfy atmosphere
2. enjoyable characters (and more importantly, character interactions)

The setting is dull and does nothing to distinguish itself; it's imitating GochiUsa which was much better in constructing an appealing setting. The low budget means that the art is inconsistent and the transitions between CGI/chibi, normal, and detailed (for fanservice) are very jarring. The characters themselves have fairly little personality other than their archetype and a couple gags around them, and Hinako's character development is rushed, and their interactions aren't entertaining enough even though they can be enjoyable at times (like when book eater and tsundere were trying to cure Hinako's cold). Having just finished GJ-bu (an example of a comfy, slow-paced slice of life done very right), the contrast is massive.

Hinako Note is still better than Eromanga Sensei though.

Maid girl needs a more solid personality, I can't quite tell what her role is supposed to be
Yua is not bad but pretty generic and doesn't have interesting reactions with any of the cast
Tittymonster sensei is great on paper but she's just so dull, it's a pain to have to listen to her frivolous speeches and hear about how she's apparently some sort of savant

Too lewd for a comfy SOL. I dropped because I saw a bunch of fanservicey screenshots.
