Yes, obviously. It enhances the experience greatly and I find myself unable to feel anything about what's going on while reading manga in silence, but a bit of fitting music in the background adds emotional depth to it.

But how? Music has been playing from my phone/computer almost constantly for the last 6 years. It's my backdrop throughout the day and I have headphones on when I sleep. I barely even register it's playing anymore, at least until it stops playing.

As for what I'm currently reading, I'm very fond of Tower of God and definitely think it's good. At this point, it spans multiple long parts with an ever expanding narrative, universe and power system that's fascinating with a huge cast of great characters.

I also like DICE but even I can't defend it at this point it's gone full garbage tier but again the power system is interesting enough to keep my interest, and The Gamer wraps it up for similar reasons as the above, clearly have I have a niche for interesting systems.

Aside from those I've finished and thoroughly enjoyed The Breaker + New Waves, Veritas, Annarasumanara and what's been translated of Yureka. I'm not far enough in to say for sure but God of Highschool is a potentially good and if nothing else the artist has a fantastic way of drawing the fight movements that make them so easy to follow it's incredibly well done.

I do but I need to find a good general motif when reading a certain genre or series? Blasting Dadrock while reading JoJo made it a fucking fantastic experience, where listening to Heavier sounds for a thing like Berserk also helps. Otherwise I just default to ambient stuff, but I like it a lot more of I pick a genre or "mood" sound and stick with it. I will say though I almost never listen to music outside of reading.
