Ika Musume thread.
Volume 22 is now completely scanlated, let's talk about the seriss.
"Ika Musume" means "squid girl" in Japanese, but the characters are clearly using it as her name. So the name should have stayed "Ika Musume" rather than also being literally translated.
To give an example of what I mean, I'm sure everyone here know that "Fuuka" means "scented breeze", but the characters in that manga never keep calling her "scented breeze", they called her "Fuuka".
Dude, you don't even to explain anything to anyone.
Squid Girl is also an official name of Ika-chan, that's just it.
They're not seen here, so probably not.
Well, there are a few minor characters missing here, like the little girl that Ika befriended in volume 21 (or was 20) and Nagisa's school friends so maybe they were just creating stupid inventions at their lab like usual,
They're not as prominent as the 3 stooges, Nagisa's friends only appeared in one single chapter in the last volume, and that little girl never went to the beach house so it wouldn't really make sense for her to be there.
Which chapter is this from? Reverse search gives me nothing.
Is the /a/ team still scanlating it or did someone else pick it up?
That's like a really bad example since squid girl could easily qualify for a nickname or simple descriptor.
Calling Fuuka Scented Breeze would actually be appropriate in translation if she was somehow notable for her wonderfully scented natural smell when the wind cinematically blows. If she was a non-squid called Ika Musume then you might have had a point.
C'mon, Chizuru is so sweet would never do something like that!
>you're not serious
>not you have to be squiddin me
i want to die
I want to fuck this squid.
