The main issue is that a 20 year old boy and a 30 year old woman will never go past that "youre like a little brother to me" relationship. The man often dictates and is supposed to be the guiding hand of the relationship.

This age disparity throws that into whack and guys do not like being coddled. They want to feel depended upon and manly.
