For some reason, lately I've been wanting to see a Caster Emiya scenario, where he goes with Rin to the Clock Tower, graduates and goes with Rin to reestablish the Emiya family line and reacquire all of their knowledge.

His circuits are still limited circuits that can only preform one kind of magic, he failed at everything else. An entire point of UBW scenerio was him realizing he could only do one thing, and everything he could do up to this point was really just part of that one thing.

He's a specialist, as a magus he'll always be grade school level.

Also there is no Emiya family line magic, Shirou doesn't have blood with Kiritsugu, and the idea that he was from a family of magus is fanon. People can be born with magic circuits out of nowhere, just ask Ciel.

Now that I think about it, since you brought up him having limited circuits, I'm now curious about the nature of Reality Marbles. If Shirou was born with circuits to create a Reality Marble, but didn't get the Sword origin and trait till after having Avalon implanted in his body, then does that mean his potential Reality Marble would have been different? And with that logic, can a person's Reality Marble change as time goes on?

His reality marble changes between different versions of himself already, its just an expression of himself. He can become a new self in two weeks time.

I think his RM only came about due to his way of life, but its not innate to any one ideal he holds. Its just an expression of his life. If he had picked a wildly different life but kept to the same outlook it might be different. RM isn't due to Avalon, but Avalon did influence it.
