The reason all of this drama started in the first place was because Setsuna knew they both loved each other and she didn't want to feel left out when they get together. So she exploited Haruki's inability to refuse people and Kazusa's loyalty to her friends to make them both totally miserable for her own benefit.

It doesn't matter how the conflict goes after it has been started. The precedent had be set by the person responsible. After that everything Haruki and Kazusa did in retaliation was justified.

Think of it like a person challenging you to an army wrestling contest then immediately standing up and using both hands and their body weight to pin your arm down. If that's how they want to play then no one will blame you for doing the same in the next round.

Kazusa did literally nothing wrong.
Setsuna might have taken advantage over Kazusa's bashfulness and Haruki's inabillity to reject her, but she openly told Kazusa that she was going to confess beforehands, so she wasn't in the wrong.
Haruki is to blame. But one can still understand his reasoning for every action - he didn't even have any hope that Kazusa loved him back, so he had no reason to reject Setsuna whom he also liked.
