Turn A is so comfy, you're in for a treat, I've got it on hold for a while when I finish the first season of Sailor Moon. Once I'm done with that I'll get back to Turn A, felt weird getting into the world building and stuff considering I watched a lot of UC Gundam and a Gundam without the Feddies or Zeon just feels weird to me but the familiar themes are nice.

Watching Ai City for the hundredth time. I know it's kind of terrible but the character design is nice and I love the 80s esper wars stuff. The music is pretty kick ass too. It hits all the perfect 80s OVA buttons, I wish there was more anime like it. Robots, bunny girls, psychic powers, loli sidekick, violence, it's got everything.

Still slowly working my way through the first season of Lupin. just 7 episodes left
Bought the first discotek dvd of season 2 of Lupin and I'm really excited to start that up since it was my first exposure to Lupin back when I was a kid. The video quality is pretty nice from what I checked, but I still haven't checked to see if the subs are the same as previous releases or not. When looking at their messaging it seems that may only happen for the later episodes.

I've been reading a lot of manga lately and decided to check out some older stuff, but annoyingly found out it's kind of difficult to actually find them. Manga Updates allows you to order by release year when searching for stuff, but of course you can only order it from newest to oldest. That wouldn't be much of a problem because you could just go to the last page and go in reverse order, but their site only allows you to go back 49 pages, which only puts you back a couple years. That just means I'll have to be more specific in my searches, but it is annoying

Tell me what you think of the story by the end. Agreed about the characters, Hattie's a little grating at first but honestly Ryu was enough of a magnetic force to keep me interested the whole time. It doesn't hurt that the rest of the cast is really likeable too.

/m/ are more experienced with mecha so they aren't so easily enthused and are able to see a lot of the shows flaws.

They're also more used to how Tomino works with characters and his lack of understanding in what Human beings are like, so it's mostly an eye-rolling experience when a big "character twist" rolls around that's really just forced in for storyline dramatics and played off as character for some reason.
