Continuation of previous thread
First for the new MC
I will now post a little gender bent HxH and encourage you all to do the same
Is Hisoka objectively one of the biggest pushovers in the entirety of HxH? Let's see
>Kills a bunch of worthless trash during Hunter Exam
>Defeats an incompetent Nen user during Heavens Arena arc
>beats and/or scares the shit outta 2 kids and a loudmouthed teen
>plays a dodgeball game in Greed Island arc, then fucks off to chase Chrollo
>doesn't show up during Chimera Ants arc, which is quite odd given how the events of that arc offered numerous opportunities to fight extremely powerful enemies
>kills a shitty butler during Election arc
>chickens out when Illumi gets visibly angry at him
>makes convenient excuses not to fight the Zodiacs
>gets LITERALLY blown the fuck out by Chrollo in a deathmatch with no rules
>kills two physically weakest PT members when they didn't have access to their Hatsu because SALT
Who needs gender bending when Hisoka is already best grill
She now has a penis, you just can't tell.
>Kurapika and Chrollo hate sex never
God I wanna lick his cute little asshole while he plays with his bungee gum
The only thing I majorly dislike in the series is that half the main cast is missing during half the arcs. Also Kurapika is one of my favourite characters in the series and I wanted to see how well he would do in the Chimera Ant arc given his nen's limitation is that he can only use it on Phantom Troupe members and how he would have to work around it but nope, gone for an entire two arcs.
You gave the reason yourself. The fact that Kurapika has an ability devoted to capturing the Phantom Troupe should be a dead giveaway that Togashi won't bother putting Kurapika in arcs without the Troupe.
I think people forget that this is a story, not a video game where anything can happen. Kurapika is useless outside the Troupe.
>tfw have to go to a shitty third world country for a month on the 25th
Hisoka would of made a good puppet for Pitou
>half the main cast
Why do people think those four are the only main characters? There's literally seven MC's, four of which are on the boat. Twelve if you count the entirety of the series.
who do you think is going to be the big bad of the dark continent, if there is a bad at all?
I think we'll have multiple ones. Tserriednich for Kurapika. Pariston for Ging. Beyond Netero or some unknown entity native to the DC for everyone else
The only faggot here is you for having shit taste
i think its way too early to tell. we really need to see how the whole boat ride plays out to even see who's left alive in each group.
like, would the phantom troupe have any interest in the DC or would they just fuck off after they stole the kakin treasure? Thats assuming they dont all get massacred by hisoka of course.
They obviously aren't going to get massacred by Hisoka.
My guess is that the boat arc is separate from the actual Dark Continent expedition, and the Spiders, Kurapika, princes will finish their story here and whoever is surviving from the above will just stay at the fake continent.
The Zodiacs (without Kurapika), Beyond's team and the rest will go to the DC and the rest of the arc will play out.
Has Togashi given up? Its physically impossible to finish this shit at this rate. Is he seriously ignorant of the inevitable shoehorned ending soon to come or does he really just not give a shit.
well, even if hisoka killed only a couple more of them, they would have to go back to find more replacements and that would stop any interests in the DC for the troupe for the time being.
now, if the troupe stays intact through the voyage and makes it to the DC I could see them trying to steal any discoveries made by beyond's team or V6's team if chrollo decided they were valuable enough.
I wouldn't get too attached to that one.
The ship isn't going directly to the DC, it's stopping at the Fake continent. That's where the Spiders are going to disembark. They don't care about the actual Dark Continent or any of the calamities or resources.
i know they're stopping to drop of the civilians on the fake continent, but after all the shit the expedition teams are bound to deal with (both with beyond escaping and the actual continent itself) it seems they would be a prime target for the troupe if they had something that was valuable to chrollo.

I can't wait to see all the spiders get killed
Cry me a river faggot, pitoufags are worse than chrollocucks
Oh, maybe more than 10 minutes will pass in those 40 chapters, maybe Kurapika will manage to go out of the room and Togashi might show something new instead of every single thought of Kurapika including how much his ass itched and how deep and intricate was that itch that was a symbolism on how much his heart itched and don't forget that fly and the fly flashback.
togashi really shot himself hard on the foot with such a big limitation, around half of kurapica hatsu is focused to capture the spiders yet he doesn't care about them anymore, he just want to recover more eyes.
at least he still have one finger without an ability so there still room for something cool.
You maybe right, but I honestly can't see the Troupe being majorly relevant outside matters related to Meteor City or Kurapika. I doubt Kurapika is going to be relevant for the real Dark Continent either.
But the only power that Kurapika cannot use against anyone else but the troupe is his nen sealing technique, he still kick ass and the restriction actually doesn't exist since why would he need a skill that seal spiders nen in people that aren't spiders?
>he doesn't care about them anymore
I doubt this was ever the case. Even if for some reason Kurapika decided to forget about them, that's going to change soon. There's a reason why Chrollo and the Spiders are back in the story.
Why the fuck are you even reading the series if you don't like Togashi's style? There are plenty of battle manga with less words and thinking involved, I'm sure you can find something more suited to you.
>all this fanart of the shitty 2011 version hotel clerk Kurapika, and next to none for the superior 1999's brunette one
I mean you would come to expect Kurapika to be alot more analytical in his approach to subdue the prince given that he doesn't have any room to screw up.
But reading is murder for alot of these people.
>togashi writes 40 chapters
>goes on 4 year hiatus
Eh, I'm good with what we have.
>Was listening to the soundtracks from yesterday
>Suddenly hiatus is over again
There is a God
Posting best boy and best ending to celebrate
>he will never have any other physical conflict
really makes ya think
The Mobsters use guns but are basically normies. Those who use Nen are seen as superhuman cause they are and have superpowers.
Imaginably most opponents the mafia fights aren't nen-users. (Remember HxH world has a population of like 30 billion or something.)
Reminder that Morel ain't smoking tobacco in that pipe.
Everyone keeps sucking Leorio's dick ever since the series's start, Hisoka, Netero, Zoldick's gatekeeper, Ging, Cheadle, Mizai. Saying he has this huge potential.
And yet in Togashi's databook, Leorio is shit tier on every parameter pretty much. What gives?
Pika has been getting a lot of screentime lately, he's guaranteed to die.
Think about it, he's already revealed his powers to the spiders so they can fuck him up. Also, Leori needs a reason to powerup, which Pika's death would be a catalyst for.
That's as many as four tens.
And that's awesome!
>could cut through dimensions
>better go back to school pal
No thanks it made sense for him but I don't think I can take that again
>Everyone keeps sucking Leorio's dick ever since the series's start, Hisoka, Netero, Zoldick's gatekeeper, Ging, Cheadle, Mizai. Saying he has this huge potential.
I clearly recall Netero rating Leorio as having the least potential in the hunter exam finals.
The "tournament" was setup so the higher he rated you the more chances you had to win a match and pass. Leorio was dead last with only 2 chances.
Killua also got butthurt when Gon was rated even higher than him.
So after a two fucking year hiatus, I'm assuming that it's his brain, not his back that needs surgery.
I mean why else would he be shitting chapters out after so long every once in a while unless he's that much of dick that enjoys disappointing everyone.
Reminder that it's pronounced "Hunta Kurossu Hunta", not "Hunter ecks Hunter"
H U N T E R
is the proper pronunciation.
Surely you're jok-
>He's not lying
How many times are they going to do this?
All of these arguments over whether the thing is a boy or a girl....
I don't even give a fuck.
Pitou is love, life, and beauty.
Pitou is why I wake up in the morning.
I live and die in the name of the almighty Pitou. Is this love? Is it autism? Is it faggotry? Who cares.
Togashi has a right to his fetish, anon.
Nah, if Togashi has a successor, it should be Kishimoto.
>he's already planned the next hiatus before the current one even ended
I understand why Togashi made the hiatus this long and cited "back pain problems".
The ningen can literally write and draw from his bed with minimal distress but the real reason for the hiatus is him writing himself into a huge wall with this arc.
He has all the side stories on top of all the loose ends to cover and having it all somehow spiral and cohesively come together in this entire arc is no easy feat.
>Battle of the 13 kings
>Hisoka hunting the spiders
>Kurapika hunting the spiders and protecting the royal family
>The Phantom Troupe aboard the ship
>Leorio heal slut arc
>Gon getting his nen back arc
And a majority of this is just the prelude to the entirety of the Dark Continent.
If there is another 40 chapters coming our way, i wouldnt be suprised if it isnt just fan service and hype while the main plot taking aboard the ship as togashi enters haitus again once they finally reach the DC. Ill even bet that he'll get Gon to wish for his nen back through Milluki or whatever the fuck xis name is, get the main cast back together with Kurapika, Leorio, Gon, and Killua aboard the ship somehow with them teaming up with Ging to explore the DC. Chrollo and Hisoka fight round 2 with most of the phantom troupe dead. And then they finally reach the DC, and Togashi goes on another hiatus till 2020
Just wanted to point out Shizuku and Machi best and sexiest Hunters.
He didn't write himself into a huge wall. If I remember correctly, he once said he deliberately planned this arc like this because he always wanted to write an arc with a ridiculous amount of shit happening at once. The guy is THAT much of a fucking genius.
I don't give a shit who draws it at this point as long as Togashi is writing it. Heck, it doesn't even have to be a manga, if writing it in prose means more HxH gets made I'd be all for it.
He's a genius but he let that get to his head. Guy probably thinks he could write himself out of anything and takes the challenge by making the craziest shit happen. Basically ended up swallowing more than he could chew.
Name these characters without looking it up.
I don't know, why do faggots like to write their own fanfiction about what's totally going to happen in the manga like their opinion is worth anything?
It's a byproduct of the hiatus. After being starved for content for so long, we end up crafting our own elaborate version of how the story is going to play out and we think that we're the only ones right.
Hey everyone! I'll be learning nen to have the power to heal backs and will find Togashi and make him well again. Wish me luck.
Gon-san is not an asspull, the Dragon Ball Super thread is that way.
Turning alluka into a wish machine was done so he can push his political message, he could've resolved the arc without doing that easily.
Not with the way the zoldycks were treating her. Killua is nice and accepts her mental illness so he gets a wish machine. That was the idea.
Not saying its smart, but its not fair to Togashi to say it's an asspull since that's clearly misunderstanding his intentions with including alluka in the first place.
Is there a version more up to date than this one?
EYYY YO muh rubbah nen! Don't make me tells you twice. Rub my heart 'n lungs 'n shieet.
Who gives a fuck?
Call me when the superior series gets a comeback
>through Milluki or whatever the fuck xis name is
Milluki is our boy, not the eldritch gas genie.
How can you be so retarded you try to make your headcanon against what was explicitely shown in a series, especially in one aimed at boys?
Did you miss the part where he tried to get rid of Nanika and the only reason he kept her is because he realized it was part of Alluka's psyche?
I know this is bait, but I've been waiting for Togashi to get off HxH and give us something like YYH or more like Level E for over 12 years. His real talent is making short, super interesting stories where anyone is a potential victim or killer. Shonen Jump is where the money is and Shonen Jump only sells Shonen manga.
If you've read HxH for years, you start to feel the pattern of Togashi introducing new characters and fucking with them thematically, doing things to do them or having them do things that Gon or Killua can't since they are the indestructible main protags that literally can't do anything too evil for fear of backlash.
>Yu Yu Hakusho being better than Hunter x Hunter
Are you legally retarded or something? Literally everyone gets to make wishes without consequences, the only people who have to deal with consequences is next person to make the wish.
You must be pulling my leg now.
So shonen jump is just going to release the first 40 chapters for free? Interesting. (Also a shame that it isn't 40 new chapters)
I too really like YYH but I doubt Togashi will ever give it a comeback.
No, we're certainly getting more than that. It's clear after his last hiatus which showed that his art greatly improved after his last couple of hiatuses. Also, how those times, he had roughly 10 chapters before going back on hiatus.
He clearly has a plan to prepare chapters ahead of time for when he returns.
>the indestructible main protags that literally can't do anything too evil for fear of backlash
When did any of the other hunters do something as evil as being ready to kill an innocent for personal gain or have an history of killing people for money
No, Togashi only ended YYH due to being overworked. You can apply the same logic to HxH, the only difference is that Shonen Jump actually allows him to take really long breaks now.
>main protags that literally can't do anything too evil for fear of backlash.
Killua back in the day was a borderline edgelord. The kid sliced two guys into pieces for showing slight hostility just because he was in a bad mood. More recently he slated his mom for death if he couldn't leave with Alluka.
Gon held a blind little girl hostage and was serious about potentially killing her.
Kurapika is a literal mob boss now.
If you consider Hisoka a main protag then he goes without saying.
Leorio is the only one who isn't at least a little evil.
>YYH was garbage
I knew we had some underaged faggots with shit taste on /a/, but not to this degree
Why was Hisoka not satisfied with seeing this face before he died?
Machi, Koltopi, and likely shalnark were in the stands helping. If it wasn't Shalnark, it was somebody else.
Chrollo couldn't beat Hisoka if he didn't let him set up the situation and give him time to collect abilities.
Using the crowd is amoral and cheating.
Chrollo technically didn't win since he failed to kill Hisoka in a deathmatch.
>Machi, Koltopi, and likely shalnark were in the stands helping. If it wasn't Shalnark, it was somebody else.
>Chrollo couldn't beat Hisoka if he didn't let him set up the situation and give him time to collect abilities.
but he did, that's the way Hisoka wanted it too and he was outplayed, as he himself admitted after the fight.
>Using the crowd is amoral and cheating.
>implying any of it matters in a deathmatch with no rules
>Chrollo technically didn't win since he failed to kill Hisoka in a deathmatch.
you cannot resurrect something that is not dead.
reminder that togashi is a hisokafag and the spiders are all gonna get absolutely fucking raped to death
Chrollo uses a fishing line, there are more clones than Hisoka expects (and Hisoka keeps getting duped even though Chrollo explained all the abilities), and a needle used midfight didn't have wings, as well as had its colors inverted, meaning it wasn't a black voice needle.
>you cannot resurrect something that is not dead.
You can't claim you've killed something that's still alive.
>and Hisoka kills the whole Phantom Troupe.
I hope Machi survives and marry Hisoka, and they have a little boy who Hisoka would molest.
There's only 4 MCs in the series you baiter. That's like saying central characters for a set One Piece arc all classify as main.
>You can't claim you've killed something that's still alive.
Yes you can if that thing is resurrected after being killed. It's the whole point of the concept of 'resurrection', bringing back to life something that is dead
i can't fucking wait for the endless torrential waves of spiderfag tears
I hope I'll have a chance to post this somewhere down the line.
Reminder to never EVER underestimate the POWER of Manipulation!
I can't wait for chrollo vs hisoka posting to die in general may these next few chapters bless us with new shitposting.
Yes to the first part, no to the second part.
Except for the fact that Hisoka put the mechanism in place to revive himself during the fight, and Chrollo knew this sort of thing was possible and could have prevented it by ensuring he was dead.
If you hired an assassin to kill somebody, and then he killed them, except he overlooked the fact that the dude had placed a mechanism to revive himself and then did, and the assassin knew this was possible and could have prevented it by killing him more thoroughly, would you pay him? Same logic holds for Chrollo not winning.
Seriously, it seems like it's all these HxH threads have been about for the last year or so.
Go ahead nigger. I hereby accept your challenge.
>Seriously, it seems like it's all these HxH threads have been about for the last year or so.
Chrollofags unprovoked bait Hisokafags by saying "haha hisocucks are so salty" even when the thread has nothing to do with the fight. And they also have terrible arguments so I can't not prove them wrong.
If you have a contest with someone and the point of the fight is cutting one's arm off, and one of them succeeds in cutting the other's arm off and then after the fight is OFFICIALLY over and done the second guy successfully reattachs his arm back, can you still claim the first guy didn't win?
>it seems like it's all these HxH threads have been about for the last year or so.
Gon and Killua story arcs ended, while Kurapika arc its boring shit, there is literally no other thing to talk about.
What does that have to do with anything since the fight was officially declared over? As far as their match in the Heaven's Arena goes Chrollo won because he managed to kill Hisoka. What happens afterwards is irrelevant to the matter of who won the deathmatch that was played in the arena. I'll give you a hint: it was not the guy who was killed
>Togashi Sensei: In the recent story, Hisoka actually loses and then comes back to life. Once I decided to take the story in that direction, the gum and rubber really came in handy. Being able to bring out my ideas out convincingly is very important.
Guys if you have some pics of best prince post it here!
It's just a couple of Hisokafags damage controlling. Mind you, Togashi himself clarified all doubt about the result of the match. Never underestimate characterfag shitposting.
That's like playing capture the flag and even after your opponent placed the flag in their goal and fulfilled the conditions for victory, you go and grab the flag and throw it out saying "No! See! It's not at the goal! You didn't win!"
Don't bother, I remember some threads back when some hisokafag was claiming Togashi was wrong and didn't know what he was talking about
Officially declared over by who? The HA people? What does that even matter since Chrollo already extended the fight beyond the boundaries set by them when he began to move around in the stands?
And you say "what happens afterwards is irrelevant," except Hisoka didn't revive himself afterwards, he used the ability that would revive himself mid-fight.
He needs the pipe.
Stop being so butthurt. If your opponent crossed the finish line and won the race, you can't just pull him back behind the finish line and say "See? You're not past the finish line! You didn't win!"
>What does that even matter since Chrollo already extended the fight beyond the boundaries set by them when he began to move around in the stands?
Still part of the HA since at no point whatsoever did anyone claim they had to stick to the square ring. It was a deathmatch with no rules, he didn't extend the fight beyond shit.
>except Hisoka didn't revive himself afterwards, he used the ability that would revive himself mid-fight.
that makes no sense at all. It's like we were playing a game where on of us has to paint the other's shirt red to win, I manage to splatter some red paint onto you (thus actually ending the fight since the condition for you to lose is to get your shirt painted) and after five minutes you reveal your masterplan and with some complex mechanism you set up beforehand you used some detergent and voilà, the shirt is clean. You still got your shirt painted, so you still lost, no matter if the way you manage to clean it was conceived during or before the contest began. The conditions was not to get your shirt painted, but you did. The deathmatch condition was not to get killed, and Hisoka did.
If Chrollo and Hisoka raced in a nen-allowed race, and Hisoka attached his gum to Chrollo mid-race and then pulled Chrollo behind him after he crossed the finish line, Hisoka wins.
...that's not how a race works. If you cross the line you win, if you get pulled behind the line by someone after you crossed it it doesn't take the win away from you. I seriously hope you're joking.
Irrelevant, the moment Chrollo passes the finish line, he won. It doesn't matter when Hisoka pulls him back, if there was just that one moment, he had already fulfilled the condition for victory and that's the same for the fight we got.
I'm not joking.
>you set up beforehand
If you mean before the fight, then that wouldn't really count. A better analogy would be, just before you painted my shirt I use magic powers to put a coat around my shirt, so that you only painted the magic coating and not the shirt, and then simply dispel the coating and the paint walks off, but you already walked away because you thought you won.
And I don't think it's a stretch to assume it's against the rules to attack the referee and hundreds of crowd members.
>And I don't think it's a stretch to assume it's against the rules to attack the referee and hundreds of crowd members.
The first thing he did was to murder the referee, and no one intervened or said anything. The announcer did not day shit about the fight not being valid anymore. Same applies for when he started murdering bystanders.
>I'm not joking.
Then you have a fundamental misunderstanding on how a race works.
All she did was offer to stitch his neck, probably out of pity after seeing him getting so utterly blown the fuck out. Also worth mentioning, she knew that Hisoka would like it if she went after him.
On the other hand she knows what Chrollo likes, was ready to fight other Troupe members to guarantee his safety and went to great lengths to help him.
Truly, the name Hisocuck never made more sense.
So, according to your own logic, if person A and person B were having a contest where one of the two has to throw the other guy out of a ring to win, ever for a split second, and person A managed to successfully throw person B out of the ring (thus fulfilling the condition), if somehow person B managed to jump back into the ring because he set it up during the fight he wouldn't have lost? What kind of retarded logic is that? He should have set something up for him NOT to get thrown out of the ring. The moment he steps out of it it's game over.
I'm not arguing that because of how things turned out Hisoka is not winning the 'war' between them, so to speak, at this very moment he most definitely is, but it doesn't change the results of the deathmatch of HA.
Probably because it's assumed that if you start murdering innocent people, it doesn't count. And it's not like they were just going to walk up and stop them.
If a football player pulled out a machine gun and starting firing into the stands, it's not like the announcers would be like "Well he'll be getting a penalty flag for that since killing people is not in the rulebook."
The race thing was not a good analogy since the conditions for winning a race are not the same as the conditions for winning a deathmatch, but I would still say that Hisoka won if he pulled him back with his gum which was attached before he crossed the finish line.
Yes, that's what I'm saying, but that's basically the same as the race example, which is not analogous to the actual deathmatch.
I'm personally glad Hisoka lost that fight. Up until then, Hisoka was turning out into a villain sue with a winning streak against characters like Kastro, Gon and Gotoh. It's nice to finally have a fight that shows Hisoka's not a perfect self insert for fanboys to live out their badass fantasy.
Because it looks cool and native Japanese speakers wouldn't think the pronounce it.
He got the repetition of hunter from some variety show where the hosts would repeat things twice for comedic effect.
>but I would still say that Hisoka won if he pulled him back with his gum which was attached before he crossed the finish line.
again, you have no idea on how a race works. It's not my problem if you choose to ignore its mechanisms.
>Probably because it's assumed that if you start murdering innocent people, it doesn't count.
assumes who? you? again, the announcer didn't say a thing when chrollo killed the motherfucking referee. Unless you prove the match wasn't valid you don't have shit to base your arguments on.
>which is not analogous to the actual deathmatch.
it most definitely is. If you die, you lose, even if you die for a split second, you still lose. If you revive yourself afterwards then good for you, but you still died and you still lost. It's not hard to understand.
>Gon ditches Fishing rod because he thinks it's a crutch from dad
>everyone in the show keeps their hatsu complimenting weapons like PIka's chains or Killua's Yoyo's
Why is Gon so retarded?
and before you fucking say it it does not matter if you set up a way to come back to life during the fight, it's the same thing as with the race example. It would be one matter if he had set up a way to go very near death without actually getting killed, that would make your point, but that's not the case here.
Win condition for a race is if you cross the finish line, you win. Win condition for a death match is if you kill your opponent, you win. The win conditions may be different but all win conditions work the same as in, the moment it happens, the game is over.
Jesus, I thought HxH fans should at least be intelligent.
Between Chrollo and Hisoka? Maybe, I would say that doesn't count and be pissed off if I was in HIsoka's place, but he didn't seem to care. For the HA, a legal sports association? Not a stretch to assume it's against the rules, even in a shonen universe.
I can't believe you people are seriously arguing that combatants are allowed to kill crowd members.
Gon for killing best girl
The only people Kurapika killed were evil serial killers that deserved it
Because of the hat and stupid memes
Oh right, but still each chain for emperor time atleast has a function. Kalluto, Morel, Jajanken is boring for an MC main ability when Gon's coolest novelty was his skill for fishing. Hell that's what caught Hisoka's eye's the first time.
>I can't believe you people are seriously arguing that combatants are allowed to kill crowd members.
So Hisoka lost the Gon v Hisoka fight?
