I had a similar experience with the Rama 1/2 manga, though I was 14 at the time. In year 8 we were given tastes of the languages taught at the school, given 1 term of each across the year. One of these was Japanese. During one of the sessions we were given the opportunity to read through an actual Japanese book, my friend and I ending up with Ranma 1/2 volume 24, wherein we stumbled upon this. Because we hadn't had really any exposure to the Japanese cultural views of nudity and nipples before, both of us thought it was hilarious to find in a schoolbook. The fact that I didn't have any sisters or the internet at home helped my amazement at these wonderful things we call breasts.

These days I've seen so much on the internet that I wouldn't really bat an eye to something that tame and non-sexual, but back then I thought it was one of the greatest things mankind had ever produced.

See, my mother asked if there were any good movies I could bring over. I told her I don't have any, so she asked "What about those Asian things you watch? Please, can you bring one? We have nothing right now to show, and I'd love to see something new."

So I asked you guys what's a nice FAMILY ORIENTED movie I could bring for thanksgiving. Keep in mind, I said that there would be children under 10 in the room. After most of the obvious trolls like Bible black, Boku no Pico, Excel Saga, etc I found a few that seemed like actual recommendations. Spirited away, My neighbor Totoro, Kiki's delivery service. I was looking at the summaries of these movies and was thinking "wow, these seem like pretty good ideas. I'll download the dubs for these now."

So I watched Spirited away and thought it was awesome and everything. So I thought everything on the guys list would be okay.

Everything was fine and dandy, family watched spirited away and liked it. Then Kiki's delivery service. They liked that as well.
THEN came Totoro, fucking totoro.

The children were closing their eyes, knowing they were seeing something they shouldn't be seeing. The awkwardness was thick in the air. Suddenly everyone started saying it was getting late and they should head home.

My mom whispers in my ear "Um...Next time I'll just go to blockbusters so this doesn't happen okay?"

Ranma messed me up as a kid. I forget the exact age I was when I watched it (late elementary school/early middle?) but I felt like I was watching something I shouldn't be, and felt really fucking guilty about it.

A bit later once I started fapping, I still felt fucking weird about it, and would avoid pictures where the girls were actually naked. I don't think I even got into actual hentai until after I was 18.

The weird thing is that in all honesty had my parents known what I was watching, at worst they would have told me to stop and been cool with it otherwise, I have no idea why I felt so fucking guilty about it anyway.
