So far I enjoy it because of nostalgia n shit. I really like how Naruto grew up with me. This is what I've been missing about many other anime series.

It's not so bad even though many people don't like the "technology" part of it.
It sill got that Naruto feeling though, so I'm ok with it. I just hope they won't make many cliches within the story, but so far so good.

The anime seems to be moving pretty damn slow. I actually watched all the episodes out a few hours ago and it's only just starting to pick up as of the end of episode 8.
It also seems to be a prequel to the manga, rather than an adaptation? I'm not really sure, it doesn't really seem to fit together very well.

I like the manga a lot better though, despite the incredibly slow releases.

The only way this show will be good is if Naruto resigns as a Hokage, admitting that it isn't how he imagined it, so he can spend more time with his family and make Shikamaru the new Hokage.

I read the manga and the issue for me is that the power level is already too high.
They killed a fucking gob at the end of Naruto and from that to where Boruto takes place a lot of time passed so they might even be stronger now.

For me the moment when things went to shit was when they trivialized flying ninjas.
Pic related was, to me phenomenal because it was a true "shit is hitting the fan" moment and showed that this guy , who actually 'flew' up into the sky was truly on another level to anyone we saw before.
Then almost immediately after the Pain invasion, Kishi who forgot to world build during all the ANGST shit, started shoe-horning in a bunch of characters from other villages to bolster up the cast for the war so it wouldn't be so Konoha centric. So then just like that, they nonchalant introduce FLYING Shinobi like it's nothing. Now flying (which I knew someday was going to be inevitable but thought would be reserved for the literal God tier) was made into nothing. A simple blood line limit that can be passed on to others just like that. I know it's autism but it's indicative to me what the whole war was like. Shitty literally who characters introduced out of the blue and given Major credence through 2-3 panels of unnatural exposition from random characters.
Totally went against Part 1 and early Part 2 where things seemed to unfold naturally. The whole war and it's set-up , to me felt like a " I NEED TO END THIS NOW" sort of deal. Totally phoned in and more like somebody knocking off a check list for work then concluding a story.

The progress that the ninja world has entered has outpaced the position of the Hokage. Just think about Konoha's position among the villages and the technology increase in this world, I assume that the bureaucracy required to manage such a system is still behind and thus Naruto is unable to keep up due to him also wasting energy on developing other fields and projects through Shadow Clones.

I think Naruto could be much smarter with his time and if he were to focus down or even have other ninja who are more organized or capable of developing a system where the Hokage is not required to oversee as much paperwork and its consequences. Maybe someone like Shizune or Shikamaru or someone.

You could also argue that keeping so many Shadow Clones active so often is very tiring and even someone like Naruto, who is now aging, is beginning to feel these things and are reacting in such ways.
