A netori-themed magical girl anime.

The protagonist is, surprisingly, a relatively attractive guy. He's kendo captain, a footballer, or something. His girlfriend's a magical girl, but she's been crippled in a fight with monsters.

Magical girls need to defeat a certain 'quota' of monsters every month, or they die. In order to save her life, she uses her powers to buff the MC, turning him into a kind of magical knight. (He doesn't have any power: It's all HER power. She's simply letting him use it.)

The problem is that other magical girls start taking an interest in our protagonist. He can't possibly tell them the source of his power, but increasingly it's looking more and more tempting to have a girlfriend he can actually fuck (he can't have sex with the cripple, she's dead below the waist).

As their relationship deteriorates and becomes increasingly toxic, due to the growing distance between them, shit starts to get real. Ultimately, in a moment of weakness, he fucks the wrong girl.

Well, I was thinking - immediately after that - the protagonist feels rather guilty. But at the same time (since he hasn't told the other girl his secret) he's beginning to wonder if he actually needs to continue using his girlfriend's power.

The thing is, he LIKES being able to use magic. It's a huge confidence boost, and it's exhilarating. He's not sure if he can go back.

It's ambiguous as to whether he's going to break up with his girlfriend, or with the other girl. Note that the other girl is actually in love with him, and his girlfriend - who is beginning to realize that she is in fact crippled FOREVER - is beginning to act in increasingly unstable ways. At the same time, she still needs his emotional support, because she's dependent on him (on a monthly basis) to meet her quota.

Leaving her means basically murdering her. Ultimately, the other girl finds out about his 'secret', and realizes that he's getting all his power from his girlfriend. This goes disastrously wrong, because his lover begins to taunt the crippled girl. She's angry because the MC never told her, and blames the crippled girl for 'putting a leash on him'.

Shit gets personal. Eventually, the other girl pushes the MC's girlfriend too far, and the MC's girlfriend kills her.

I got hit by a truck, woke up in a fantasy land and now my childhood friend's version of this new world is my imouto and also the princess?!

You know the nips would be all over it.

A love comedy where a guy and a girl are seemingly perfect for each other but are always just missing each other at every single opportunity despite somehow playing an always indirect but major role in each other's lives.

Their best friends have noticed the trend and vow to finally get them in the same room at the same time to kick off their relationship but fate always seems to get the better of them.

Get the girl to stay put? The guy gets dragged away to help with a crime investigation.

The guy and girl are literally a room apart? Bank robbers show up and the guy talks them down.

Girl almost gets hit by a truck? Guy was in the truck pulling on the wheel to avoid her.

Eventually more and more people coming into their lives catch on and join in the ever escalating matchmaking ploys snowballing to the point where the yakuza, the police and the homeless take part in the final grandly elaborate operation to get them to make the perfect meet cute for them.

I call this one "Missed It By That Much". The twist is that they're actually childhood friends who promised to marry as kids but the guy got amnesia and his mom remarried so the girl never thought he'd be the same boy she once played with and he didn't have a name to the girl in his dreams which drives the matchmakers further towards planning something perfect for them. Also, the operation fails but while the schemers are ruing their failure, the pair of them head to their original hometown separately on their own and reunite by the tree they used play together as kids all because the matchmakers kept bringing up old memories.

Think of it as spending someone else's money. She gives him access to her abilities, and he can use them while she suffers the backlash.

He's more powerful than most magical girls because HE isn't paying anything. He just has to focus on fighting, like going on a spending spree with someone else's credit card. His girlfriend would obviously be better at using her own abilities, but that's not an option for her.

To really rub it in, another girl could do the same thing for him, potentially. (Though it'd really be pointless, because she could just do the fighting herself.)

I personally like the idea that the oujosama-ish girl really likes him as long as he has the power. When he loses the blessing, his worth in her eyes drops, because he's now 'beneath her', so to speak.

To top it off, the actual romance is between the best friends who bond over how they admire the Guy and the Girl and their matchmaking attempts. The last ploy fails because a mix-up in back-up contingencies leads to them "meeting" each other instead of the Guy and Girl which they just go along with and go on the date the real targets were supposed to be railroaded into.
