There's a load of awful symptoms of taking accutane in the first place, like severe depression, suicidal thoughts (on FDA's top 10 list of drugs with the most attempts), paper-thin skin, dry everything, and constant soreness. I had severe acne and had to go on accutane for nine months. This was after months of trying different antibiotics and Meds. Accutane was the absolute last thing they'd recommend. That shit made you drier than a desert. Even taking a shit hurt. You got a special accutane ID card that you had to show the pharmacy to pick it up, and this was only after I had to take a monthly quiz about birth defects that can occur as a side effect. It was such a terrible experience but my skin looks great now. Also helps that you start to lurk skin care forums and figure out a proper routine for your skin.
