Noticed that we're missing a thread for the best show this season
Has this made any of you buy any kits?
>anime show to shill the kits and other kotobukiya things
>all the FAGs are currently sold out or being sold for scalper prices
haha... I want to buy some kits but none of the main cast are available.
I finished kit 5 last weekend, #6 was delivered today, #7 ordered 5 minutes ago. That completes my set since I skipped Materia. Next will be Gourai Kai eventually.
Fyi there's a US Amazon seller who is getting some Architect in early next week. $60 and Prime, likely your cheapest option that doesn't involve SAL.
I already owned several FAGs, but the manga and anime made me want to get Baselard and Stylet who I otherwise didn't really like the kits for.
Too bad they've been out of stock the entire time.
>everyone talking about how gourai can't lose the rematch
Are you ready for Gourai to surprise lose again?
my tripod doesnt reach the top shelf so here's a shit one
They look good, i'm jealous of that Hresvelgr.
She'll get fucked by Ater.
is that base face actually in the kit? I need to buy her if I can actually get smiles.
Also are those unpainted? I'm curious how much effort it would take to make a kit like yours, I don't have much model experience.
Looks like Architect will be the first FAG I get then.
get the anime version Baselard (bundled with blu-ray), i think it has a cute smile. or you can do what i did, and cut the eyebrows and lashes out of one of the extra decals and apply it to a blank face.
i didnt paint anything except Gourai's missile launcher, Jinrai's swords, and panel lining/detailing. i sanded everything to remove the gloss, thats why mine look better than out of the box builds. the first kit was tough because i rushed through the sanding and butchered a lot of the fine details, but it got easier after that. i'm not an experienced modeler either and my painting is terrible.
Good job, anon. But you're missing the fun of building the kits.
If I can get a finished figure without moveable joints I might buy it.
Sorry, you can't simply end the bullying of a character that was designed to be bullied.
But Ao is the second least attractive girl in this show.
I want a cute Gourai or Stylet.
What are you smoking? Ao is one of the cutest girls of the season and she looks good in all of her outfits.
Is Ao okay? Is she seeing things? I'm starting to question her sanity now.
What if she's actually insane? What if the FAGs are just regular FAGs? What if Bukiko is just imaginary as well?
Which would explain why she knows so much about FAGs and Kotobukiya stuff and why she has a figure of herself.
I think if Ao is really mentally ill, its possible that she's not that severe, she's still able to take care of herself but she can't tell what are her delusions and what is real.
Bukiko, and her landlord are both people hired by her parents to take care of Ao.
Her landlord would get her stuff that ain't groceries, and also do some shit for her, while Bukiko takes care of Ao in school. Occasionally, Bukiko goes out with Ao so Ao at least gets some real human interaction.
The messy room was due to the Roomba going mad, it was later fixed. The errant trip was actually done by another social worker while another guy goes and fixes the roomba. The school trip at night was again done by another worker.
The FAGs going to school was due to Ao accidentally putting Baselard into her bag and her mind rolled with it, the chaos that day was due to a crow.
The door was destroyed by someone who tried to rob her place but was fought off by the neighbors, during the fight the window was broken but Ao didn't notice it until the Hres in her delusions "broke" the window.
What if her mental illness comes from her parents dying at sea and her weird fixation with money is cause she subconsciously knows she needs to provide for herself since her parents can't anymore.
What if Ao's parents died when she was very young and the flashback of them at the park was a flashback of one of the earliest delusions from Ao as she develops the condition?
They behaved like kids because Ao didn't have much memories of them and her mind just made shit up.
The routine gifts from her decreased father were from social workers as a white lie to keep her condition stable as opposed to breaking her already fucked up mental state even further.
I don't know, unless they rework what's on Stylet or give us fabric I don't think I really want more skirts. They're too hard to deal with. Maybe more swimsuits or leggings instead of panties would be nice though.
Not to ruin the specula, I too want Ao to be crazy, but the scene in itself is probably simply one of those "supernatural based on ordinary life" things that Japan does. The first example that comes to mind is Aria with the cat.
It's one of the characteristics of Japanese horror, so there is probably nothing to read into.
Going to watch the original Gundam series, so I can get a sense for these mechs and for /m/ in general, so I can decide whether or not to buy some HCs (was it HC? H something) to practice assembling and possibly coloring them, all because I want to have a good looking Baselard when I buy one.
This'll probably help un-pleb me in the long run, but
Sounds like a lot of work but perhaps Baselard deserves it
HG. High Grade. You really don't need to be into robots to enjoy modeling though; the interests often overlap but they're not the same thing. Try a few cheap kits to see if you like models and move on if you don't.
In that case you should probably (and I hate to say it) be watching IBO or BF. Most of the good cheap kits of late seem to be coming from those lines. I didn't care much for the original Gundam myself, either.
Thanks for the doujin last time by the way.
Ruined at least four separate fetishes of mine.
You should get kits of things you want. Recommendations mainly come into play when there are multiple kits of a certain thing, since some are poorer quality due to age or just sub par design or just come with less stuff. Less an issue with FAG since the line is much younger and and smaller than the likes of Gundam, where even old kits occasionally get a new run put out in addition to the multiple modern grades.
Vidar is the best thing to come out of that clusterfuck.
Yeah, that's true.
I thought to go to /m/ to find out what seasons (? pretty sure that's not the proper term at all, but can't remember) of Gundam are most universally liked, seems the sort of thing to be in a pastebin in some general, but had no luck.
They have a nice chart with pros and cons but forget trying to find much of anything "universally" liked. Anyway, you sound really new, the best way to get into Gundam if you want to is to lurk and watch things. Head over to /m/ for both.
>not top 5
I'm struggling to even remember anything that comes close. Barbatos Lupus? Schwalbe Graze?
>UC boxes on top of boxes
>AU skinny Gundam with big pointy shoulders
I just get whatever kits I like the design of and treat them as separate entities from the series they came from.
just a thought,
If you're looking mainly to practice, it might be more efficient to look up one of the mobile suits here;
>HG IBO gallery:
>more series here:
pick a few favorites and look up what series they appear in, here;
and watch those, but like a few anons have been saying, the IBO kits are good and cheap starter kits
In no particular order: Graze, Ground Type Graze, Schwalbe Graze, Grimgerde, Kimaris Trooper, Bael, Barbatos Lupus. All cooler.
Since you brought up Dalong it should be noted that FAGs (and FA) are under the Kotobukiya section for new folks wanting to get a look at what they come with and how they're put together. The information link in the reviews even have scans of the instructions.
>The FAGs meet their mass production counterparts
>Jinrai Ninja clan
>Giggling throng of Baselards
>A dozen Architects, no one's really sure which is the Architect from season 1
>"Wait, which one of you is my Architect? "
>"We are all Architect
We need some glowing eyes or something creepy here
>"Master, I found her! This one has a bunny sticker on her back!"
Unfortunately the manga baselard is the one who puts stickers on everything, not the anime baselard.
>Architect owners have to memorise the serial number of the Architect they own in case they lose their Architect
>"Architect, state your serial number and build"
>"Architect Build #223-24, serial number #000001"
>"We found her!"
ITS JUST HER CHILDHOOD IMAGINARY FRIEND
>have imaginary friend as a child
>nostalgia of playing in childhood park brings back memory of imaginary friend
>imaginary friend memory reminds of time capsule buried
>One update for Architect's AI was to make the hivemind Architect AI set a master for each individual Architect because of the cases of the wrong Architects going home with the wrong masters
>Shit like Architect running an entire speed errand delivery system by having other Architects in the vicinity getting the stuff needed and travelling to the house while the Architect that was sent on the errand goes to do other people's errands and staying at another house after delivering the stuff
>Shit got so bad that Architects with country specific serial numbers were found in foreign countries, and of course, with the wrong masters
I like that I now have an excuse for a fag folder
Hope you enjoy getting raped by Charger-kuns
>last episode company sends in a FAG that looks and acts just like Ao
>it even thinks it is Ao
If you think so. I don't see anything special about Ao, she's just a rather usual dork.
Furamu armsu garu na no da!
>started watching yesterday
>kit already sold out
I think you mean sold out before anime was even announced. Then back in stock briefly at the start and then immediately sold out again.
Baselard was second possibly only to gourai in popularity/demand since her initial release.
I was lucky and got my preorder in at her first release and still haven't even opened her box.
FAGs sell out even before the anime aired. Now things are worse, Scalpers are selling the kits for insanely high prices.
Your best bet is to find a local distributor and preordering every time there is a Reissue or New Release.
I have every single non webshop exclusive FAG. The place I order them from calls me every time there is a new FAG release.
Go to the last thread if you want to see.
The beetle rape honestly seemed like it should've been the least of her concerns at that point
The difference becomes almost academic the way the thing is cut and with that horizontal separation where the panties/bottom would normally start. More than enough to draw a parallel.
>Without moveable joints
Way to ruin the point of FAGs that they are literally actionfiguremodelkits
What would Ao not do for money?
