And the other day, there was a thread about a recent film, which reached ~600 posts because people were arguing about politics for several hundred posts. Not one of these posts was deleted until the thread reached page 10 after autosage and, even then, only 1/3rd of them were removed.

You want a good board but at the same time also want people to not "blogpost" or talk about stuff that isnt "cartoons". Unfortunately anime are made by and for humans, which means that real life events are very likely to have a big impact on their creation. However, I discussing tha results in punishment, then the people who are interested in actual debates will leave or simply stop to post.
