Funi cut down the OP when they first broadcasted it on Adult Swim so that they could squeeze in more time for commercials. They started broadcasting it with the full OP after a few weeks due to popular demand.

I've seen all of those with subs, but the only one I had to watch again with dubs was Bebop. It was straight up worse and I felt like some dialog and themes were changed to make western audience understand. It is the same with watching "foreign" films.
I know it is a common complaint with western audience that reading subs while watching sucks and I guess that is fine if they feel that way. I just don't see it that way and would not recommend watching dubbed stuff if you can help it.

Subs are better in all of those cases. The only exception is Cromartie high school.

I feel like Dandy is the only character that can be argued is a lateral move in terms of VA quality. The rest of the dub cast is a clear step down.

Fuck chromartie dub, there are so many jokes that i would imagine would not translate well at all. Probably good both ways though.

the narrator for Dandy was actually a LOT better in the english dub. he played such a big role for the show too so i think this is one of the few cases where the english dub is actually better than the japanese dub

No thanks. Steve Blum sounded like he was trying to sound cool with Mugen. As opposed to being regular guy who just happened to be cool as ice with Spike.

Also, Champloo is one of the few anime where not only do I have to watch it dubbed, but I have to watch it from a specific fansub, in this case AnimeFan Forever because they take the time to do research on the historical figures and references summarize them at the beginning of each episode in which they appear.

Call me anything you like but I can't watch dragon ball subbed. Goku's voice is just too ridiculous sounding. During the fights I want to tear my ears out from the high pitch yelling.

Meaning you haven't seen it? If so don't dismiss it, the dub is done very well and they translate the jokes just as well as a sub.
