It wasn't good but it was leagues better than the manga's final arc and ending.

The only thing I've watched with an anime original ending is Magic Knight Rayearth and I'll have to say no to that, even though I find Hikaru being in love cute.

I don't know why so many people shit on this one. The manga virtually copy pasted AgK anime ending except they somehow managed to make it much much worse. At least in the anime version worst girl died and stayed dead.
