I just think that Kubo genuinely forgot about the promise Chad made when he was younger. Out of the six nakama, I think he was the one Kubo cared for the least; I mean Kubo changed the hairstyles of a lot characters especially the girls yet always kept Orihime's long which gave me the impression that he always remembered the reason she kept it long(which was Tatsuki).

I found the musicals okay but it was just weird and cringe at times when certain characters suddenly broke out into song and dance (does anyone remember Ukitake doing the gayest pirouettes ever during his song with Shunsui? It's a miracle a man that's in such poor health can achieve such a feat!) The humour was pretty good and the actor that played Gin was 10/10.

It was obvious they couldn't really use the Human cast in a musical portraying the whole ss arc in a mere 2 hours, that's why Orihime, Uryuu, and chad got dropped completely from the most of the early stage performances and the 2016 musical.

I don't think the Ichiruki faggotry was too 'in your face', it's just a bit of fan service they were playing off of, especially when there's no Inoue around. I don't know if the newer musical also had this sort of fanservice but the actors have said in an interview they never saw romance between Ichigo and Rukia.

Fullbringers are glorified low tier superheroes with moderately interesting powers. Again low power ceiling and your abilities are more gimmicky than anything. But you can live a normal life which is good.

Hollows is a survival of the fittest. Eat or be eaten and you're always on the verge of starvation. IF you even manage to make it to the Vasto Lorde level then you become so powerful that weaker beings actually get destroyed by your presence and anyone else is just going to be afraid of you or plotting behind your back. So you're forever alone.

Shinigami gives you powers but they're hard capped based on your genetics. Sure you can train your Shikai until you're super adept at using it but raw power will always win. And most Shinigami don't ever approach the Bankai level, so chances are you'll be some schmuck who cleans the barracks and then gets bodied by a Hollow later.

Everybody called that shit the moment we saw Kenpachi's backstory and there was some randomass baby crawling around in the middle of blood that he lets on his shoulder, and the rest of the Gotei 13 were mistakenly talking about how they thought his sword was in permanent shikai.

Yachiru having a shikai was a hilarious red herring that made everyone doubt for a few weeks.
