Look at how much pedo-pandering there is nowadays. It must have done something.
>>
>>157538961

have you never seen a single pre-2011 series
>>
>>157538635
All Madoka did was emphasize an annoying subgenre of dark magical girl shows
>>
>>157538635
It fucking did, now every show has a fucking little girl in it. More shows are also exclusively female and follow underage girls. It made "little girl" casts more normal and all the perverts in the animation industry jumped on the chance to start drawing naked girls and get paid for it.

The Madoka TV series literally had almost no pandering.
>>
>>157538961
That shit goes all the way back to (and beyond) Gundam ZZ
>>
>>157539252
Gundam ZZ isn't anime though.
>>

You're new.
>>
>>157538961
If anything there is a lot less nowadays.
>>
Only influenced mahou shoujo
for the worse

Embarrassing.

Not until episode 26 at least.
>>
>>157540731
How is that relevant? People who discuss things on the Internet have no direct control over the industry. It's a fact that the industry itself remained changed after Madoka.
>>
>>157540898
im just kidding anon, i don't know anything about how much madoka changed the industry
>>
>>157539155
Madoka cemented the "mahou shojo" genre in Japan. If you said you like mahou shojo type anime before 2011 no one in Japan new what the fuck you were talking about because there were only a few popular examples at the time. I know because I noticed regular Japs started going "OOOOH MAHOU SHOUJO DAISUKI" right after it aired.

Dumb wing poster.

>Madoka cemented the "mahou shojo" genre in Japan

what are any of the following and why are most of them older and more popular than Madoka:
>Sailor Moon
>Pretty Cure
>Cardcaptor Sakura
>Lyrical Nanoha
>>
>>157541852
That's a big bait
>>
>>157541852
>>157541904

in all honesty, what is the #1 series?
>>
>>157541937
#1 as in best or #1 as in the one that changed the industry the most
If the latter then EVA probably
>>
>>157541937
The highest-grossing franchise is Gundam, the best-selling series is Evangelion.
>>
>>157542010
>>157542030
best as in, highest quality, most entertaining to watch, most compelling, etc
>>
>>157542010
EVA can't be the most influential series when stuff like Ideon predates it by 15 years.
>>157542065
You're entering the domain of opinion. There's no way to answer accurately.
>>
>>157542065
That's subjective, genius. Or do you think a real general agreement about that can even exists.
>>
>>157542127
nobody cares about Ideon.

>>Madoka changed the industry
It redefined yuri, the depth of the your seasonal Mahou Shojo genre and internet autism memes.
>>
>>157542168
Not an argument, retard. And if you want another example, Zeta Gundam also predates Evangelion by 10 years and god knows that Gundam is the most influential franchise ever.
>>
>>157542235
whats your favorite then
>>
>>157542316
getter robo armageddon
>>
>>157541880
Japan didn't care about any of them after the run ended, until the SM and CC revival. Pretty Cure is generic seasonal garbage to sell toys to little girls.
>>157541388
I'm not defending it, buts its a fact that no one except anime/manga fanatics distinguished the genre in Japan unlike in the west were things like Sailor Moon and CCS were perpetually popular.

Japanese people experience anime completely different than we do, their zeitgeist is made up of really old shit that somehow is still running like Doraemon or very nostalgic trans-generation syndicated stuff like Chibi Marukochan and Urusei Yatsura.

Seasonal anime is popular and then is forgotten once new material ends, and then at some point is revived somehow and then suddenly people remember it.

Madoka was the first acknowledgement of a distinct magical girl genre that that became mainstream enough for normie Japs. Most people my age in Japan could hardly remember Sailor Moon until the reboot.
>>
>>157542030
Isn't Bakemonogatari still the best-seller? Or are you going by yen adjusted for inflation?
>>
>>157542343
i'll check it out, thanks anon
>>
>>157540495
So you admit it influenced the genre then.
>>
>>157542302
Gundam, sure. Ideon isn't on Eva's radar in terms of influence even if Eva itself takes from it.

Oh wow a reasonable TTGL fan.

I thought I was going to trigger you with that comment about TTGL being a ripoff, but you should read the Getter Robo manga (Original, G, Go, Shin, Arc) anyway, since the writer of TTGL fapped to it.
