Steal the night that fell in slow motion!
The worn-out rhythm came out so from my squeezed heart
The afterimages and eyes that came into my possession while wandering
were muddily projecting out a transparent love
Even if burdened by the lonely, idle future; grinding your back teeth, advance!
Become the light that pierces the sky; gather the blades upon the star!
All the wounds that look like they might come pouring out, erase them into the distance!
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I rated it in MAL. One of the biggest contrasts between how much I enjoyed a show and how good I thought it actually was: really dumb, with poorly-constructed characters and story, comedy not particularly good either, though I found it worked for me even if I couldn't say the punchlines, use of irony, etc were particularly well set up.
I did really enjoy the show though.
I find this way of thinking stupid.
If a show was charming, interesting and / or entertaining, I'll give it a good rating even if it was just a bunch of still shots. If a show was boring or uninteresting I will give it a low rating even if it's technically in the same level as a KyoAni / Studio Ghibli theatrical release.
Because I enjoy discussing anime and shitposting about little girl cartoons specifically here. And I can't go "back" somewhere I don't come from. MAL is a tool for me, not a community. I'm allowed to enjoy a show but have a different way of looking at it to you?
I agree, I don't care about what's conventionally considered "good" as long as I find it enjoyable. And I enjoyed Fantasista Doll enough that I still remember it fondly years later, much more so than a lot of shows that have aired since.
I want to fuck Lala.
Its not that she is gone that made me sad, its the fact everybody else filled in for her.
There's nothing wrong with critical thinking. Once you start to actually think about what you like about certain show and what makes it enjoyable for you instead of simply following "me like it - good, dislike - bad" logic, you'll start to appreciate the things more. And who said that something has to be "good" to be enjoyable? Why can't it be "average", "decent", "not bad, but not good", etc.?
So Otome is top kick now?
I thought this was a Fantasista Doll thread at first
You seem to think that I don't even understand why I enjoy the show, of course I do, and if I'm entertained of course I'm going to think the show is good. Its called entertainment for a reason. I feel like you people who "think critically" don't enjoy the shows nearly as much when you have to convince yourself that a show you like is bad.
The point is that you are being a faggot by giving it a "objective 3" on MAL, not that you weren't a faggot already for being on MAL in first place, while at the same time saying "but I still loved it and enjoyed it and would give it a 10/10 over that" but not giving it to it when you are supposed to rate it according to your personal and subjective opinion.
You sound like a normalfag who only likes things because the TV said you should like them and trying to mask your lack balls to stand up to what you truly like under a mask of pretentiousness you don't even believe in first place.
Hair down is best.
I hope you like Seira, anon. She needs more love,
at least she gets more now than she did when S2 aired though.
Was Season 2 not liked? I didn't visit /ai/ when it aired.
And then there is this nerd.
So far on looks she isn't bad, I'll give it 5 episodes before I make my call.
S2 as a whole, especially the first half. And everyone besides hated Seira except for maybe one or two people besides myself.
I wasn't a big fan of Fantasista Doll, it was too slow for my taste and I was a little promising with the MC and her friend. It was beautifully done and had an all star cast but it just didn't click with me.
>I feel like you people who "think critically" don't enjoy the shows nearly as much when you have to convince yourself that a show you like is bad.
Why do you assume I have to "convince" myself? And again, liking something doesn't mean it's good, it can be something that is not good, but also not bad. Stop thinking in extremes.
I'm not the guy who mentioned MAL.
>not giving it to it when you are supposed to rate it according to your personal and subjective opinion.
But I do rate it according to my personal and subjective opinion, why do you assume I don't?
>You sound like a normalfag who only likes things because the TV said you should like them and trying to mask your lack balls to stand up to what you truly like under a mask of pretentiousness you don't even believe in first place.
That's a hell lot of baseless assumptions. No, it has nothing to do with TV or the normalfag boogeyman.
What's pretentious about saying "I liked this average show" or "I liked this mediocre show"?
What is wrong with this girl?
Wow, the CG took a leap in terms of quality.
Don't cry Aoi.
I think Aoi being sad bothered me more than Ichigo being gone.
They couldn't even sense her power level. Did Ichigo reach a new level of power?
Wow, I think I just found a legendary scene of Pripara.
We are back.
I was just joking about Ichigo and her new power level, I didn't think they would actually be afraid of her.
KyoAni makes some awful shows alongside some really excellent ones though. It's all about the quality of execution for the elements most important to any particular work for me, not necessarily just if it's well animated or whatever.
I do think all Ghibli movies are at least average, and most are really good, but that's due to storytelling, not just visual polish.
Help, my sheep has become a tako.
Ichigo really is throwing down after her time in the US.
This is so much better than S1.
So all the girls have slow motion moves now?
>Spends a year in the US
>Still can't speak basic english
What a baka.
>Ichigo joined the US Army
Now I am curious as to her training and MOS.
Now I am convinced the other girls should be scared of her.
She rode a Greyhound Bus? Ichigo has some balls to do that.
I remember I was joking about Aikatsu Operators, but this is too much. Ichigo really is an operator.
Ako is the only Stars who can live up to Ichigo's legacy.
Now she is ghosting people and messing with their heads.
Wait, Mizuki can do it too?
I'm the one who mentioned MAL, and it's not "objective"; it's "my opinion". Sometimes the things someone thinks and their gut feeling aren't the same. Your later comments, whether you're referring to me or the other anon, seem to me to be almost projecting or being unwilling to accept that people think differently from you. You seem to view critical thinking as necessarily feigned, pretentiousness or some kind of boogeyman threatening your own taste and opinions, where it isn't really (at least not by definition). People just enjoy and experience things differently sometimes.
I understood your feelings anon.
Its okay, we will never forget what has already been done.
First one I believe. For about a day and a half it was moving at like 15KB/s with random bursts that helped pick up the slack. It will be done in a few hours if it holds pace.
Forgive her for she knows not what she does.
Why are they teasing me with her glasses off?
>fedora is strong with this one
Why are you so triggered by someone discussing anime in an anime discussion thread and their thoughts and viewpoint being different from yours?
>Why you are even here
Because I enjoy /ai/ shows and the posting and discussion that happens here. It's a fun place to be.
So this is the power of little girl shows.
There really is a lot of armpit service in this episode.
What is up with the bust ups for Mizuki and Ringo?
That is always good.
Hope they get nakayoku soon, they both love each other anyway. It's all just a misunderstanding.
Yuzu is so adorable. She's my favorite idle so far in this show.
I really like this outfit. Hope she wears it again next time.
What do you think of Haruka Ruka?
At first I thought she was Korean because she said "Fighting! Fighting!". She's so genki and I like her! Is she a minor character? Does she get a CG model later in the show?
She's one of the more major sidles, but sadly she stays a minor character and I doubt that will change.
Their performance was nice, and I like this song. It's a good episode overall, I'm really happy that the drama resolved quickly.
That's really a huge imbalance of idles.
Cute taiyaki Rola and cute cake president are back!
I'm going to touch it and you can't stop me.
An idle falls in love with her fellow idle. Unable to confess, she is gifted with by a deus ex machina...
I'm worried. Is she going full depression after this? All I have to do is watch the rest now.
Forgot pic, I'm dumb.
Wow, this is so lewd! Aoi posing in her underwear and showing her armpit made me very excited for some reason. Sore ga rare.
I can't believe they did it either, Aoi is so bold.
>Is she going full depression after this?
No, although it seemed like they were building up to that for a bit and it would have been much more interesting than what actually happens.
All the action happens on Aoi's bed.
Is this some kind of foreshadowing?
I can see why most of the /ai/nons posting about Rola kinda sound disappointed.
I checked Mezashite's blog and Akatsukin posted about the movie being watched immediately after episode 18.
Aikatsu suddenly became extremely lewd. It had some moments, but now it's crossing every border. I like this new girl, though. Looks sexy.
Okay I'm getting sick of this shit. This should just be called Shit on Lala Time Pripara. This entire show has just been devoted to shitting on Lala.
NOBODY gives a shit about Lala (in show). Not even Yume. I mean I get it, it was a funny joke for a while but watching Lala fail at keeping an audience while she waits for the super tensai TruKamiIdoru™ Sophie to save the day because everybody in the world likes Mirei and Sophie more than Lala, but still everybody especially likes Sophie. Because she's still just the best.
God fucking dammit. The writers shoe-horn Lala into this fucking show and then they just open up their assholes, and let it all out, and cover Lala in their brown waste. Lala is SUPPOSED to be my self insert.
This show isn't even funny anymore it's just sad. I'm sad. Fuck. I miss the good characters like Dorothy and Garuru.
That eye expression... Would he ever be the same again?
>Lala is SUPPOSED to be my self insert.
I want Otome to feed me. I would even eat waste if it were touched by Otome hands.
I want to be fed with sweets and Love You.
But what the fuck does that even mean? Popularity? Or does it just mean you can sing shitty pop songs with a smugger face than the other girls? Why does this show try to force the popularity=tensai meme so fucking hard? Seems to me like Japanese children's shows have terrible fucking morals in general.
What did he mean by this?
Really liked this episode. Was pleasant in many different ways and had nice change of pace. Recent episodes were emotionally heavy and I were a bit emotionally exhausted, but now I am full of happiness and Love You.
Is not just that but also knowing how to attract the public
Sophie's cool aura make bitches follow her.
Mirei is smart and give girls real facts and statistics how beneficial Pripara is.
Lala has nothing, she's "good making friends" but that's about it. and got nerfed really hard when Yui fucked up her ticket.
Otome a shit, 1 dimensional meme catchphrase character who lead 2 other good idols in to a shit unit which achieved nothing of note over the entire franchise
didn't earn starlight queen<- a legit spoiler by the way
I never want to hear that song ever again.
Yurika-sama is cool and beautiful. Has very refined type of 美しさ with a bit of seducing mystery and sadistic sexual appeal. I have a weakness for such characters.
Wild. I have a feeling that no matter how many good girls would appear, Ichigo still will be the best one.
>mfw I unironically enjoy listening to sweet sweet girls talk.
Oh wow fuck.
>This entire show has just been devoted to shitting on Lala.
1. It's all in good fun.
2. The main character is supposed to face adversity. She's a great idol and people like her, but she's a baka and of course she's not good at putting on a variety show. Apparently she didn't have any Idol Time to put on a show of her own, which fits into the established story well.
>This show isn't even funny anymore
Now that's pure opinion right there. I for one have found the comedy much stronger than the first seven episodes of the original, and very enjoyable overall.
Rare smug Koharu get!
Nice song. It's a little heavy, but has a strong emotional impact.
This cat is cute. I didn't actually find her annoying, I must have a lot of patience.
>It's all in good fun
You wouldn't be saying that if you were in Lala's position though. If I were in her position I'd be crying so fucking hard. I just feel so bad for Lala. All of pripara was about Lala kissing "tensai" ass in the name of friendship, and now that she finally won proved herself to be very good - well, time to lick some MORE assholes! The poor girl just doesn't get a break. She deserves better.
Even the boys this show are cute!
Have to admit I really like Yurika-sama. I want to worship her and be a faithful servant hoping some day to receive a Gift of Immortality. I like how she differs from all that cute and sexy idols with her own way to show beauty and sexual appeal. But it worries me that there are too many girls I like. Really love Ichigo, moderately love Otome, like Yurika-sama, Ran and Aoi. Feel myself as unfaithful manwhore.
>Aoi is best girl so far.
You've probably already heard but the CG gets better, you're already past the first significant improvement, and it gets another massive improvement by season 2 >>157515649
Other than that just enjoy the ride and please tell us your favorite parts.
There's nothing wrong with loving many idles! You wont get through Aikatsu without loving most of them.
You don't have to pick a favorite. You'll be happier loving all the cute idols.
It's a bit unusual for me. I tend to pick only one character to strongly admire and this anime has too many good ones. On the other hand idles do exist to be loved and may be I really shouldn't force myself to pick only one.
This one looks nice too. Like her eye and mole.
I really like this performance. Ako-chan is actually not retarded and is quick to admit to her mistakes.
I think I'm starting to like and respect her more now. Her own episode was too late so at first I thought of her as slightly annoying.
Don't get attached to her, it'll only hurt you since she's a background character.
I really think you're projecting your own feelings and opinions onto the characters. "Lala suffering and ass-licking" is simply not the narrative the show is telling. She, Mirei and Sophie have all had their moments in the sun, but because it's a challenge Lala's dealing with, she can't breeze through it all every episode. Everyone creams their jeans when Lala performs, too: there's just an entrenched anti-PriPara vibe or apathy in this weird town and there's no one-show fix.
My, it's a Yuri-senpai episode!
That's good to hear, I'm only one episode before watching it.
Yes, I really like how honest and straightforward she is.
Soleil ran, worked at the factory, and shook hands with the police for this one. Is Starlight Academy out of budget?
>Kami-idol forced to relocate and promote PriPara in a place that hates girl idols
>She also has to work and do vague quests just to be allowed an opportunity to do the job forced on her
I can't help but wonder if this is just the system fucking with her for pleasure. I'm still only on episode 39 of the original, so I don't know how it all works.
Why are they bullying Lala so much?
I rolled three Ako photos after I bitched about how they released a Mahiru PR before an Ako PR. I can't tell if Photokatsu is being kind or cruel.
Moroboshi is creepy as hell.
My brain farted and actually meant Starlight. I was talking about how Orihime just left Soleil to do their self-promotion alone in contrast to the admins' full support for Yume.
I love this baka duo.
Managed to finish the episode despite my atama not being daijobu. I'm having great expectations for the movie and I'm excited for Yuzu's episode.
taking drawing requests.
only limited to 1 character, with an outfit. If you want me to draw a particular outfit please post a reference sheet for that ty.
Kirara wearing one of these please. Get some sheep costume on the sheep.
I was going to request the same thing.
I like how fluffy she is.
It's good that you've realized it early.
I still miss her.
I'm not a huge fan of the two button gameplay. Not that they don't make it difficult, but while Deresute and SIF are the only other idol phone games I've played I like them a lot better. T7S has plenty of cute girls and pretty good music though so those are probably worth looking into at least.
It's alright. Some of the songs are pretty good, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9LmNvSFvj8
There's also this one sung by Kii's VA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X66htR8nnN8
It's a masterpiece of straight-faced bizarre comedy you fucking pleb.
No. Prostitutes are pity women that are have to sell their bodies for money. They deserve to be loved and pitied. I always cry when I read hentai manga about prostitute lolis. And idols are popular and have ideal life.
>I always cry when I read hentai manga about prostitute lolis.
It's really not a timesink if you know what you're doing, and if you can control your collection urge, and control yourself and understand getting the absolute best stuff is useless as it'll get outclassed soon, and that some things slightly inferior are easier to get and thus always striving to be on top isn't worth the trouble.
There's a lot of playable skill involved too and teamwork which if you're good at both greatly reduces needing absolute best equips.
And even then it's not real "player skill", as long as you have good training regime or the good input device IRL according to your playstyle, most people can become good at playing by watching the good videos and following the good advice. Real play skill does make a difference though.
And it's not real teamwork either, but rather communication. Some quests just need you to not be shy and say what you're doing to others to succeed.
All of the above is why some japanese communities like 2ch would make their always pass protected parties so everyone who gets in knows how to play and the basics meta strategies when farming a specific boss or a specific quest:where to go in the map to spawn this or that, where not to go, etc.
A lot of these are known by the general populace too, but good luck finding anyone to play with you at any time who knows these things too. And even then you'd have to worry about other people in the party who may screw up. The best is to be in a guild but a lot take the game seriously and will kick if you don't play with them everyday, so in the end it can be a timesink.
All this aside, overall the game isn't worth it and I wouldn't recommend it. Even if you have someone wiling to spend 6hours with you explaining things, so you won't spend a great amount of time learning what's obsolete and what isn't, as a newbie who doesn't know his way can spend dozens of hours farming one thing which actually isn't worth it.
This doesn't have any implications, right?
The movie toned down on the characters' busts, but Ako-chan's midriff and leg service are nice.
Cute brown loli get!
I don't think 間接キス is a problem if they're both girls.
That's a good thing. I really don't watch shows with yuri goggles on, so even if there's the slightest hint of subtext I won't understand it.
Is it actually a Japan thing or just an anime thing?
This is the first time I noticed M4's uniform as they never really wore it that often in the anime. They are lacking in details unlike S4's but the minimalistic feel is really cool.
About eating or drinking from same bowl or same glass? Some cultures doesn't care, some culture care, some cultures as long as no one got some cantagious diease or is just sick with something that can go to others like a cold. Other cultures have the concept of indirect kiss too, but won't care or won't make a big deal out of it like japan if you're doing it with someone you don't like or unknowingly.
Or do you mean how they purposely made a name for this?
In my culture indirect kiss does exist as the same concept as Japan, I'm not sure if there's a name for it. There probably is and I just don't know it.
Forget about 間接キス, I am not a little girl so I won't get a kiss on the cheek from Hime.
>hat has cat ears
Making a big deal out of it, I guess. I do understand not sharing for sanitary reasons.
My friends visiting from NYC didn't get the clue when I offered them a sip of my drink after we all got smoothies. Here, we usually let everyone take a sip of each drink to try the different flavors when we all get milk tea or whatever. Or plain share if someone doesn't have their own.
No matter how many times she does this, it always makes me excited. And Otome gladly accepted to be bitten, what a girl. Yurika-sama is the most aggressive yuri idol so far. She doesn't have actual feelings, though. Unlike Ran and Ichigo or Ichigo and Aoi who doesn't advance as far as touching one another in such intense manner, but do have feelings for each other.
Reminder that the M4 were literally a last second addition because Stars staff "thought it would be cool to add something like that" and that's the reason the M4 doesn't have a real uniform until so late and why the supposed male division is practically non-existant and why half of the M4 are literally whos. Reminder that this train of thought of adding whatever they think is cool at the last minute without caring about the consequences it has on the story in general is the reason why Stars is such a sloppy written mess.
I see now that the Kasumi siblings have the tendency to show their pits.
You'll have to wait for a fuckton of episodes for her to have "gay sexual tension" with another character.
They weren't intended to be in the show? I found the interactions between Yume and Subaru nice, but having a lot of characters show up early on kinda makes Stars appear messy.
I was the one who translated the interview in the first place. And I was the one who said that the /male division/ of Yotsuboshi was an afterthought. The boys themselves were not.
Cute. I wanted to copy this facial expression, but didn't manage. Ichigo is the cutest and unique.
I see that pictures weren't as advanced as they are now.
I'm not sure how to respond to these, but so far the M4 haven't done anything offensive. Regardless of whether they are intended to be in the show or a last-second addition I enjoy them.
This. People were moaning "帰れ" with scary voice.
Liked this episode a lot. I enjoyed how they showed Yurika-sama's problems with overcoming a scandal. It was pleasant to see her rare and hidden side and such a contrast made her vampire side much more enjoyable. She made chill run all over my body and her song had much greater impact on me, than the first her performance.
The M4 are supporting characters who mostly serve to give the girls further development, so regardless of when they were implemented during planning, they serve their purpose well. You'll come across things later on that supposedly must've been planned out from the very beginning which generated tons of controversy on here due to how they were carried out, but the M4 aren't among those.
>M4 haven't done anything offensive
Nah, they never do, so only the boy antis are the only ones who can't stand their existence. They're well-liked for the most part.
HA! Moroboshi got fucking out-keikaku'd.
Or maybe this was his plan all along?
Yurika-sama's biggest selling point is her gap moe. The scandal just made her even more popular. And yes, her songs are amazing!
Here you go anon! hope you like it!
I like S4's appeal and performance in the movie. Popcorn Dreaming is a nice song as well, and Yume doing Rola's appeals makes her look really cool!
Hime getting tired of Moroboshi's bullshit was a sight to behold. It's a fun ride.
I mean they do look a bit similar.
Wow, rude. Just because some people legitimately don't like M4 and how they were dealt with doesn't mean they're anti-boi. I mean, really, compared to Johnny & friends or even the Callings they're pretty shit.
Don't bother, you cannot reason with people such as that. They have to make up shit to justify why other people would dislike something they like and justify their biases because otherwise they cannot cope with disagreeing opinions.
>Hime getting tired of Moroboshi's bullshit was a sight to behold
Hime: "Stop forcing Yume to do things that might hurt her!"
Moroboshi: *keeps doing things that might hurt Yume*
It really did bring up the hype.
Honestly, I dislike boy idols because they boring and samey as fuck. Don't really feel like writing the same stuff about clothes and archetypes for the umpteenth time.
Besides, if people were just anti-guys people would hate Jhonny or Naoto and they both are very beloved characters. What people dislike are shitty boy characters or boy characters whose only purpose is to be shipping bait or are bland as fuck. No one hates Kanata for example, why? Because he has top tier bantz with Ako. Meanwhile people only "like" Subaru because they can ship him with Yume. Asahi only character trait is being another Kasumi so they can keep the names pun going, and the other guy whose name I still can't remember might as well not exist.
On the other hand, Futaba posters seem to be pretty fond of the M4 for the most part. The apathetic part is when the occasional toshiaki asks, "What's the name of the gay one again?"
Weebs please, what is the june update?
How are you going to upgrade the skills now?
Sorry about that, I really wasn't thinking /ai/ when I thought about the overall fandom response, hence using the the Japanese anti term.
>Asahi only character trait is being another Kasumi
He's a cunning little shit like Kirara. It's in his character introduction.
