How hard much of it is to swallow until you're used to it.
Even if I wanted to discuss a strange and fascinating story with a friend, I cannot tell them about it, since the story happens to feature a loli getting repeatedly assraped into mindbreak.

The fact that, 99% of the time, if the exact scene, dialogue, tone, etc. were replicated in 3D, it would be laughably bad. Even more so if in English.

It's only the pretty colors and designs along with a language barrier that allow me to enjoy the story.

If you're asking about anime in general I find it depressing how many anime seem to be flooded with lame, brainless male MCs that some female character (for unknown reasons) is obsessed with him. Many anime that might have been interesting (story wise, or had interesting side characters) have been drug down to garbage level. Of course that is my opinions, and not everyone will agree with me. Some people out there may love that garbage, but I've never met said people.
