Now that her smile is back, you better protect it properly this time, faggots.
Now that we're back at school Akko, I could help you with your magic a bit-
Stawp wiking shewhohned womance n shewhohned chawachtuhs.
Look, I don't like Andrew either, but at this point I'd gladly take ten of him over one of (you)
You faggots didnt even discuss what Hannah, Barbara, & every teacher especially Finneran will react to Akko after Akko successfully bring Diana back.
>Oujosama, you don't have to hold back any more. Please fulfill the dream you've had since you were a little girl.
Diana also wants to become Shiny Chariot confirmed. Shiny Duo end confirmed. DiAkko already won.
She can do both. They can't be Shiny Duo once they're old, anyway.
Diana's servants love Diana so much they're going to work for her sake and Diana's aunt pretty much agreed to start wasting money.
So did Woodward and Beatrix have the type of relationship as Akko and Diana?
>Sushio worked on the episode
>he literally only animated the last scene
Multiple layers of pottery
>Moon scar is still unexplained
If this series does get a 2nd season or a 3rd OVA and Yoshinari does find a co-director to help him, then who in Trigger (or outside of it) would be co-director?
>Akko and Diana. They're completely different but also the same. They can't understand each other but they also perfectly understand each other. It has become a precious, irreplaceable relationship.
What did YURIka mean by this?
They will eventually become on par with this duo
>please Diana-chan bring her back
>I will(clutches onto Shiny Rod)
>but afterwards we need to talk
>all three of us
This will happen soon, are you excited /a/?
>Akko does something stupid in front of everyone
>Diana goes "Akko!" in her usual tone
>the others eventually leave
>Diana's voice softens and she gently tells Akko she's got appearences to keep up
Are you ready for this kind of scene?
Shes turn into OVA2 Diana.
Harsh but cares for Akko
So Ursula is supposed to be some sort of knockoff Quattro clone or what
>retards still think she means it as romantic
Where do these faggots come from?
She's Coach Kamina Bajeena.
It also happened exactly how I predicted. Diana won't give up her dream of becoming Shiny Chariot just because Akko has the same dream when they can both become Shiny Chariot.
Either way, it doesn't fucking matter since they have plans for S2 and the story won't go beyond their first year at the school.
This. Either Masahiko Otsuka or Hiroshi Kobayashi would be good choices.
Fuck off, Mari Okada was the reason why Kiznaiver sucked.
>some sort of knockoff Quattro clone
You know the second season's going to suck
Every single episode will have Akko bleating about Chariot while that same orchestral piece plays over and over again, no matter what the subject.
>It also happened exactly how I predicted
No, I was the only one who predicted that Akko was gonna revive the word on her own and then use the transformed rod together with Diana. Most people thought they were gonna revive the word together or that Diana was gonna do it. Bunch of retards.
>Diana won't give up her dream of becoming Shiny Chariot just because Akko has the same dream when they can both become Shiny Chariot.
Now you're jumping to conclusion. We don't know what's gonna happen at the end.
>when you show turns into a dumpster-fire because you have zero (0) good writers so you try to force the yurishit angle to get sales
Stop embarrassing yourselves and crawl back to KHARA
I predicted that Diana would be the type that won't cry even if she breaks.
Though I feel she didn't really reach breaking point thanks to Akko, maybe if she was left alone for a while
Now I wonder why Tattun said ova two's Diana was the cutest, this episode's Dian was super cute.
>idol for retarded girls
What the fuck did you say about me, TOP pilot of the Buster Machines, over 100,000 confirmed Space Monster kills, etc.
But why? They share the same dream. Before, the argument against Shiny Duo was that people didn't think Diana also wanted to become Chariot but that was dismissed this episode.
Can somebody explain to me what exactly is at stake in this show?
If magic dissipears from the world what negative consequence are there other then the fact that there won't be any more witches?
What do witches even do in the world other then simply exists?
>But why? They share the same dream.
Alright I'm gonna be honest and probably come off as rude, but at what point has Diana said she wanted to be like Shiny Chariot as both a child and then still as a teen. Was it Today's episode, because from the live stream thread I recall someone saying the maid told Diana to "follow her dream" but that dream being to be like chariot, as far as I know I don't recall ever coming up.
Someone's probably gonna say common sense, or it should be obvious but I feel like we're making a lot of assumptions if she's never said what her dream was.
That wasn't my argument though. I always thought that Diana's gonna end up helping Akko punting up the shows, but not go on stage herself. She's a great witch, but she doesn't have the personality of a performer in my opinion. Akko can draw a crowd by force of personality alone, like she showed in episode 9 (the only decent moment in that episode).
The other reason is, when Akko talks about her dream, she says "I want to be a witch that can make people happy like Chariot." But if you think about it, Akko is already doing that. She already befriended and helped a lot of people to be happier (Diana included). She also helped two ghosts and some fishes. And she's helping even Chariot herself to be happy again.
That's why I think becoming the next Shiny Chario suits her better than anyone. And I think even Diana will see that soon enough, and that's why I think she's gonna support her from the side lines instead of aiming for the stage like her.
If magic dies, then Ultra Mega Super Hom Tanks Cthulhu emerges from the Earth to assrape life itself. Or something like that.
Kinda a flawed analogy since witches just keep to themselves and people like Chariot are frowned upon.
So the world would not be poorer for anything.
So nothing is at stake and we just have to accept that something bad will happen by sheer narrative logic.
>I recall someone saying the maid told Diana to "follow her dream" but that dream being to be like chariot, as far as I know I don't recall ever coming up.
The maid presents the box with the Chariot card in it to her as she says it. It's pretty overt.
>Akko will never spread her dokidokinowakuwaku all over your insides
>Can somebody explain to me what exactly is at stake in this show?
>If magic dissipears from the world what negative consequence are there other then the fact that there won't be any more witches?
What kind of dumb question is this? The show is about and from the POV of witches, I would have thought it was obvious what's at stake. Even if you're somehow having trouble determining the (near infinite) potential uses of fucking magic, witchery is clearly a culture of its own, it's like asking:
>If snow disappears from the world, what negative consequences are there other then the fact that there won't be any more Eskimos?
>Kodomo no koro ni akogareta, ojou-sama gojishin no yume kanaete kudasai."
My Japanese is also shit, but she's reminding her of the person she admired when she was a kid and telling her to follow the dream she had then.
>Every single episode will have Akko bleating about Chariot while that same orchestral piece plays over and over again, no matter what the subject.
the curse of the post resolution 2nd season blues
since your major areas were complete, there's nowhere to go but down unless you change perspectives to another character completely
and raiden was not well received
despite mgs2 making tons more than mgs1
>I predicted that Diana would be the type that won't cry even if she breaks.
she did cry, just in a different context than what i'm-not-predicting-just-demanding-happen-or-else-i-riot
It's pretty easy to write a second season if they actually mange to revive magic this season and the second is about dealing with the problems of this new magic-filled world. Magical creatures reviving, political intrigue from witches that want to take over the world again and stuff like that. The problem is that they seem kinda obsessed with status quo anyway.
It's speculation that the dream was to be exactly like Chariot, but the line is to the effect of "there's no need to hold back any more, you should follow your own childhood dream", while pushing the box towards her.
It could mean possibly mean various things, but I suspect collecting cards as a hobby wasn't one of them. Really it should be implicit though.
> person she admired
A key word is missing in the sentence, there's no 'person' after akogareta.
Ok, imagine the same thing with a one of those semi dead languages that just a few hundreds of people know and use. If the language dissapears you could say that nothing would be lost, but that doesn't mean there's no value to it, or that it is not worth trying to preserve it.
>Really it should be implicit though.
That was meant to go after
>there's no 'person' after akogareta.
I can't remember if it can be used for anything other than a person, though.
So it's basically just about saving the witch culture, something that doesn't in any way affect more then a few hundred people.
And even if magic were to be lost all those people could just continue living.
But even taking this into account we aren't shown what witch culture actually is, or why it's worth preserving, other then the Luna Nova school which ironically is a very plain and ordinary school.
In conclusion the stakes in the show are very low if not non-existent
i think what you mean to say through all your pointless rhetoric is that you want some giant world ending monster to attack and for the little witches to be the only ones able to thwart it
why don't you just say that instead of feeding everyone this garbage
No not necessarily, I am saying that the show doesn't take tame to properly set up what the main character is trying to save.
If we had proper world building showing us what the witch culture actually is and why it's worth preserving.
You could do this very easily, just show some Goblin villages or some other mythical creatures living in the woods with their own culture and history as to give us a sense of what will be lost if the magic fades (think Mononoke and the Forest God)
As it stands now, loosing magic means Luna Nova shuts down, and Luna Nova is a very boring and ordinary school
Please let Sucy and Lotte have some proper speaking lines after this again. I miss Sucy's snark. Bring them back from the background.
>I think everyone loves magic in their own way.
Have you been watching the show? Almost everyone have been taking magic as someting routine at best and menial at worse and most of them (especially the young witches) have been apathetic towards the magic crisis.
Only Diana, Akko and Chariot (and arguably Croix) have been the ones I've seen that still love magic.
We have no time for background witches anon.
>Have you been watching the show? Almost everyone have been taking magic as someting routine at best and menial at worse and most of them (especially the young witches) have been apathetic towards the magic crisis.
That's because no one knows what to do, so they're giving up. It doesn't mean they don't love it.
>Only Diana, Akko and Chariot (and arguably Croix) have been the ones I've seen that still love magic.
I don't think so.
Then why did they make me care about them?
>Magic is dying
Traditional Animation is reclining.
>Witches keep to themselves
I felt this resonated with how a lot of Japanese are secretive and aren't very public (compared to say America)
>Chariot is frowned upon
Imagine some talented as fuck artist/animation selling out? With all the potential she had, she chose to entertain kids instead or something considered by the other witches as useless.
>So the world would not be poorer for anything.
We don't need entertainment to live, but it would be a fucking boring world.
>Luna Nova is a very boring and ordinary school
The world has many dead or dying languages/animals/whatever, and to outsiders they're boring and ordinary. Yet people still want to save them for tradition's sake and what other qualities outsiders don't recognise.
I dunno, as someone who creates instead of just being a consumer the metaphors are easily relatable and understood.
Wow. I'm glad Diana arc was only 2 episode instead of 3. Hopefully we can get back to actual non-shit characters next week.
Metaphor =/= Plot
A show can't sustain itself on it's metaphor alone.
And I reiterate, apart from Luna Nova (which is very plain) we haven't seen anything from the witch/magic culture that would seem interesting or worthy of preserving (the only mythical creature we saw was a greedy banker Dragon)
>We don't need entertainment to live,
The world of the witches is secretive and doesn't want to expose itself, it's nothing like art or entertainment
"art" and all it encompasses is a psychologically therapeutic, cathartic and expressive element in life and you can talk about muses and poets and artists and animators and musicians and it'd have some kind of relationship to the witches
Too bad Diana will clearly be taking the place Lotte and Sucy once had in the story.
Slowpoke here. Requesting all content relating to these fine women
>It can only be transferred.
How do you transfer it? Asking for my friend.
Never mind, I'll chck out the internet.
Im not falling for that again.
>browse artist alley at sunday
>one guy sits with sketches, pics and oh my LWA stickers
>those are Akko, Lotte, Susy small ones and big Shiny Chariot
>Have nice conversation with guy yet he's extreme careful about tastes.
>"The actual artist, he's walking a bit nearby"
>I aquire sticker with wise one without idea to slap it anywhere
>As i return later to see the artist he's a girl and she's pretty calm about series. I check out her sketches and drift into outer space.
>What is love? Baby, don't hurt me. Don't hurt me, no more.
What are you even trying to say?
Friendly reminder that episode 21 is going to be completely spoiled by the pre-screening two days in advance.
the leader trio is complete
How does Chariot become more attractive the angrier she gets?
Just like back at the first cour, I'll just leave these threads for two days.
After Akko loses her yay and leaves the school, she will take the rod any will go to kill the cube dragon, her cover blown up, she doesn give a shit anymore and sacrifies herself after giving Akko the final speech.
Probably literally next.
>Akko and Diana go to see Ursula about the Rod
>all the evidence clicks in Diana's head
>Ursula-sensei, you are actually Chariot, aren't you?
>Shiny Arc>Shiny Broom>Shiny Axe>Shiny Grappling Hook>>>>>>>Shiny Mixer
I wonder what the last two forms of the Shiny Rod will be.
He usually uploads an reaction image of a episode after the subs are out.
Why didn´t she just use THE GUN?
I'm already working on it, but yeah, I prefer to wait for subs before posting it.
I'm thinking what to put in the pic, the Shiny Broom definitevely will be there, and maybe one of the guys being strangled by a snake.
So in other words Trigger are a bunch of hacks who spend an entire cour making us care about characters only to suddenly discard them if they don't fit into muh Chariot/Akko pottery.
! Actually was going to draw Chariot and Croix in the Moonlight outfit but I realised Chariot wouldn't have been enrolled or something
pawoo? Also I'm lazy
Ctrl Z my good anon. I do sketch but redraw/clean up on the same layer after.
>Akko, Diana and Chariot will be the Hokuto trio and release all 7 stars.
Yeah, but there is some arc in which something Ursula/Chariot related makes Akko get depressed and want to quit the only one that can refresh her YAY is Diana.
You mean exactly what they did in KLK where everyone other than Ryuuko was a jobber in the second cour?
is that what they're calling it now? kinda kinky for diana to do stuff like "that" in a teacher's room. though i guess it makes it better to live out her teacher/student roleplaying with akko.
>Yeah, but there is some arc in which something Ursula/Chariot related makes Akko get depressed and want to quit the only one that can refresh her YAY is Diana.
I'm not interested in your fanfiction, anon.
I mean, if Akko gets depressed and it isn't Chariot/Ursula related the one to cheer her up would be Ursula/Chariot but if the reason she gets depressed is that she lost hope in Ursula/Chariot the one to cheer her up can only be the one who shares her dream. It's pretty simple.
>I'm not interested in your fanfiction, anon.
Not that anon, but that's actually speculation from Yoshinari's words from an interview and the folks of 2ch disussing it. There's no way we get to the final and never see Akko having her will wavering.
>Diana is back
>Hanna-Barbera loose their (lesbian) privacy.
>They start to bully Diana to kick her out to their room.
Of course, but the whole "Akko loses her yay", comes directly drom a discussion from that interview which talks about Akko putting people on a pedestal how those perceptions will be broken.
>They start bullying Diana to get her to join in
>I still think that prediction is just dumb fanfiction.
Why is it dumb? I'm curious. I think some kind of confict will be saved for the last arc and that seems the most plausible.
So, when does it upload to streaming sites? I only just got in to this series a day or two ago, so idk the drill.
fuck off pedro
just wait like the rest of us not in the loop
its not going to kill you anon
Yeah, people are getting really stupid about this. Diana has her own group. She might try to hang out with Akko and her friends sometimes, but that's about it. She's not gonna follow her around or anything.
So if H+B just followed her around, does that mean they're just going to trail behind her when she's with Akko?
>What dya mean? She's just a mouse.
>Yeah...I'm just a mouse.
It's a bit hard to think about what Diana is going to do next, but it's not like hanging around Akko to help her is farfetched. Diana literally never "hung out" with anyone and Akko was literally all by herself researching shit in episode 17 and all by herself doing dumb shit in episode 18. Sucy and Lotte aren't her shadows.
Still, Diana might go back to investigating Ursula and Croix first.
No they didn't. Hannah and Barbara are actually almost always seen doing their own thing.
She has more pressing issues to attend to first, though. Like her incomplete research into "totally not suspicious" teachers.
>She has more pressing issues to attend to first, though. Like her incomplete research into "totally not suspicious" teachers.
She could do that too. Point is, I don't see her following Akko around like a sidekick.
It's not permanent, but while Akko is searching for the Words Diana won't leave her alone. I mean, it depends on if we're getting episode 17 Akko, who was even fucking reading while searching for the Words, or episode 18 Akko, who loves to fool around.
What did they mean by this?
>The broom that high up between her legs.
I hope someone draws lewds of this cutie.
We aren't going back to random fucking fooling around school days. Making Akko and Diana hang-out in episode 21 wouldn't be the new status quo, it would just be a way to get funny reactions out of the other characters.
>while Akko is searching for the Words Diana won't leave her alone
I disagree. I think Diana's gonna help her out if Akko asks her help (now that they have become closer Akko will have no problems asking for help). But otherwise Akko's just gonna keep doing things her way. She has revived 5 words that way.
In fact, here's a piece of prediction. If the 6th word is indeed gratitude, like translatorfag said, then Diana's not gonna be involved in its revival.
I agree, the Words will keep coming randomly in unrelated events without Akko looking for them like it has happened with every Word other than 4th but I probably worded my point wrong. With 5 episodes left I don't see the show going back to random school episodic antics for more than an episode. We still need to get the tower in the foreshadowing sequence. All I roughly meant was that episode 21 will have Akko and Diana hanging out just to get reactions out of the rest of the cast that aren't really prepared for it. Even if Akko and Diana are supposed to have a relationship like Chariot and Croix is not like Chariot and Croix were glued together; Chariot actually learned transformation magic by herself and stuff.
Don´t forget about Diana´s vision.
Akko broke so many academia´s ruurus.
>losing hundreds upon hundreds of folklore and history that gives shape to a nation's culture is A-ok guise!
and thats not even relevant because this entire show is just one big metaphor for the anime industry in general.
this is the pinnacle example of 2017 millenials, people.
Diana only has to say that Akko helped her sort things out with her family and it's thanks to her that she could come back. That would be enough to make the teachers leave Akko alone.
Just make it a SoL about Akko working on her magic to become a better witch and having more adventures. No need to introduce all that conflict, just have it be more light hearted this time.
>I am saying that the show doesn't take tame to properly set up what the main character is trying to save.
who said Akko is trying to save magic retard?
Akko only wants to acomplish her dream, and if by doing that she ends up saving, OR hurting magic, then so be it, thats what she wants in the end.
>losing hundreds upon hundreds of folklore and history
That's just implied and never shown, so why should the viewer care?
Show me what I am supposed to be rooting for, don't just imply it.
>and thats not even relevant
A story can live on metaphors alone
>who said Akko is trying to save magic retard?
Are we watching the same show? Because I am pretty sure Akko is searching for the Grand Triskelion right now.
>I am pretty sure Akko is searching for the Grand Triskelion right now.
Not that anon, but Akko's doing this mainly to meet Chariot. Of course she wouldn't mind saving magic on the side, but it's not her primary goal.
Does /lwa/ have any puppers? What kind of dog would Akko have?
how about something like Southpark does/did.
the main big story ended, how about make short seasons (7-10 eps at most) featuring a self contained story spread over standalone plots, featuring and giving light to other characters or introducing others over time?
Nor Akko, nor everyone are gonna learn the truth, brecause WE always knew before the series even began, even if we never saw the ovas.
we are the only ones supposed to know.
i mean the whole 'big plots per season' southpark tried lately.
if in these 26 eps the big story LWA had ended, and still want to do a S2, why not make smaller stories that have NOTHING to do with this S1 story, featuring or introducing other characters accompanying the original ones?
I would buy all the BDs several times if they removed the shoehorned characters and shoehorned romance from then. Or they could just make a shoehorn free version and call it Little Witch Academia No Shoehorn edition
>That's just implied and never shown, so why should the viewer care?
>"i lack basic inference, please spoonfeed me"
good one sir, you can screencap this to your favorit friends over reddit!
>Are we watching the same show?
are YOU watching the same show? or did you just selectively forgot why Akko traveled all the way from her home in Japan to England?
akko is a fucking miracle of the universe
>Show me what I am supposed to be rooting for, don't just imply it.
Are you being obtuse here? We are supposed to be rooting for Akko and her continued happiness.
Akko loves magic and wants to be able to share it with others like Shiny Chariot did.
So since we want Akko to be happy, we are rooting for her success, then by proxy we are rooting for the continued existence of magic.
I have no idea.
The most bizarre thing is that plenty of them must be around her age but without evem thinking of having any plans of having a child, yet they force that interpretation on her.
Hell, the Japanese are more reasonable. They see Chariot as a big sister to Akko.
spanishsubs are already out!
