It's not even overrated. Compared to all the other Miyazaki movies, Cagliostro is extremely underrated. Also any fan knows it's not the definitive version of Lupin. It's just a great film.

The manga is great but it's an entirely different entity compared to the animated versions.

Too bad Yuri on Ice was garbage compared to her other work.

I would also consider the spin-off to be a minor masterpiece but it's flawed. The overall story arc wasn't that fascinating. I found the best stories to be the ones that were episodic and didn't focus on the Fujiko's owl shit. There's never been a bad Lupin series when you think about it. That's rare.
