KyoAni has yet to do iyashikei. We don't really know how they'd handle it until they try. I think it's silly to make any assumptions on how they'd handle something they haven't tried yet. We have no prior examples of them trying anything similar to YKK to base assumptions upon.
The only assumption that can be safely made is that a KyoAni adaptation of YKK would appear to have much higher production value than the OVAs.

Maybe not Hibike, and Nichijou is actually interesting to bring up, as it's their closest thing to YKK. I found Nichijou to be extremely boring, and the only way I could find some enjoyment in it was to start treating it more like an iyashikei than a comedy, which made me able to enjoy it a bit more. The thing with iyashikei is that nothing happens, while it's also not funny. I found Nichijou to be very unfunny, and if you strip away their failed attempts at comedy, you are left with something that's pretty iyashikei like. The most enjoyable way for me to watch Nichijou was when I accepted that it was not funny, and was able to enjoy the more calm and relaxing parts in between. Nichijou comes closest to giving me that feeling.

Kyoani only has 2 styles so far, either like Nichijou & Dragon or like Hibikek & KnK. Their range of animation styles are very limited compared to studio like A1 because Kyoani use in-house artist while studio like A1 full with freelancers.

The one who can really do the justice for this YKK adaptation is Mushishi anime team.
