It's the only good show Kyoani has put out in years.
Great characters, good humor, effective drama, good OST.

Because it's a good looking, fun show with nice character design and relationships/interactions. Story is simple but works out just fine. There is nothing average about it. Though average and mediocre are obviously meme words at this point.

It is a good show, but ln is much better imo, based on 2,5 volumes that survived dmca.

It's a good show, just not a great show. It's predictable and nothing about it really stands out but it maintains a consistent quality and each technical aspect of it is solid. I probably wouldn't remember it if there weren't threads now and then, but I'd never regret having seen it. The average seasonal anime is something you watch for a few episodes and drop, at best.

How can you even rate Maid Dragon above Amagi?
Unlike Maid Dragon, the drama isn't entirety compressed and rushed in the last episode, half of the cast isn't completely pointless, and the comedy is actually good instead of repeating the same (unfunny) joke over and over again.
