Man, when was the last time Nabeshin directed anything? Even Rikudo got the Pandora adaptation not too long ago, it feels like it's been ages since Nabeshin did anything.

I re-watched it recently and I was surprised how well it held up. Then again I might just have shit taste, and I forgot a lot of the gags so it was kind of like watching it for the first time instead of just re-watching it.

I kind of feel the same way. I did rewatch it, and still enjoyed it, but I felt like it was too stupid at parts. The manga is perfect though. It is worth rewatching if you get the annotated version.
