Yeah, I understand you.
But I don't think that's the focus of the actual show, considering the target audience and the story itself.
As you can see, the first "serious" arc in the series ended up with an erased universe and a dead kaioshin, plus a new transformation, so they gotta be careful when writing it.
I like to think that Super is portrayed as an anime of "resting" for the Z-Fighters.
Sure, they still keep on training and facing new enemies, but at a way lower demand than before and almost no risk of death, allowing them to resolve character issues, developing them to the max.
future trunks had a hard life
So I wonder why is the Pedro/spics meme still alive considering we SAW on /spa/ that shitposters are burgers?
Toyo used the elbow here, by toeishill logic, he's tracing again
>I wish I was in universe 11
Still butthurt huh?
Please love me, daddy.
Toyo actually foreshadowed that Vegeta wasn't at 100% against Hit. Re-reading I'm catching a lot of his small clues. I thought he just pulled it out of his ass in the next chapter
To bad he never explained how Goku can use SSG at will
>fuck this cabba guy is cute
>i wonder how cute his butt looks
>fuck i'm getting wet again
>gotta clear the dirty thoughts
>a shit I can feel a drop going down my thighs
>clear the dirty thoughts clear the dirty thoughts come on kale
>oh god he's looking this way
femtrunks gives my trunks a shaking
Toei has some strange obsession with shotas.
We got a bunch of sick bastards in this thread.
>Supreme Kai says that there are only 28 planets with Mortals in Goku's universe
Toriyama confirmed in Jaco The Patrolman before Super was even made that there weren't many planets with life in them in the universe.
Better than GT.
Still not that great at this point.
Makes me wish we got more movies instead of a series.
When we getting the damn official translation?
It's already 11 PM for me. I thought we got it on fridays the day of?
WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG FOR THE EPISODE TO COME
Dragon ball universe ≠ the real universe. and maybe all of the universes were originally one universe that it got separated by some kind magic or something related to the gods or the super dragon ball
The first dragonball was the best dragonball.
Who remembers The witch Baba and his warriors, the rabbit gang, Tao, Launch? It was so fun and imaginative. After Frieza everything feels the same screaming contest. Magic disappears and character design is lame af. Death has no consequences.
Dragonball ends with Frieza's death. Everything else is weeb material.

Is there a even character that’s close to being as perfect as Cell? Let alone be him. And I'm not talking about Perfect Cell. I'm not talking about Super Perfect either. Hell, I'm not even talking about SSGSS Golden Cell. I’m also not talking about SSGSS Golden Cell who fused with 9001 SSGSS Golden Cell Jrs & obtained Beerus & Whis' DNA. I'm definitely NOT Talking about SSGSS Golden Cell who fused with 9001 SSGSS Golden Cell Jrs & obtained Beerus, Whis, Champa & Vados' DNA after absorbing enough Spiral Power & Getter Rays to use SSGSS Golden Tengen Toppa Getter Emperor. I'm talking about SSGSS Golden Cell who fused with an infinite number of SSGSS Golden Cell Jrs, wished himself immortal with the Super Dragon Balls & obtained Beerus, Whis, Champa, Vados, Zeno, Madara Uchiha & Ultimate Kars' DNA to obtain Requiem versions of every Stand (including but not limited to Gold Experience Requiem, Made in Heaven Requiem, The World Over Heaven Requiem & D4C Requiem) after absorbing enough Spiral Power & Getter Rays to use SSGSS Golden Tengen Toppa Getter Emperor as he pilots Elder Demonbane with Cosmic Armor, Power Cosmic, and Omega effect, the Anti-Life Equation also flowing through his veins, while he does 101 Push-ups, 101 Sit-ups, 101 Squats, 11 km run per day for over 4 months inside the sun after ingesting Kryptonian DNA (to somehow obtain infinite power from a finite source) after consuming Popeye's Spinach while riding the writer's cock to battle.
>until he fades away into the void as he exists outside space time
fix'd for you.
Is Frieza going to be the only dead fighter?
The fact they're choosing shit tier human because of their special techniques and ignoring cell is baffling.
the fucker has all of their techniques and is comfortably SSJ2 level.
because he's a dull canon oc donut steel
"ok ok ok so like he can survive anything even being blown up because he can regenerate like pickleo but better and and and he can power up with transformations like fireza vut he's got another one like super sayen and also he can do the kamihamiha better than Goku and also he's from the future and..."
He's dull as shit

>To bad he never explained how Goku can use SSG at will
Yeah, that makes no sense to me.
Becoming Super Saiyan Blue requires a higher threshold of power that can only be attained by becoming Super Saiyan God, thus negating the need to have five pure-blooded Saiyans on-hand whenever a fight's about to go down. It makes total sense to use SSB as an alternative and I thought it was a clever bit of writing back in Resurrection F.
But treating Super Saiyan God as a transition between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue makes no fucking sense. It's honestly my only real complaint with the Super manga.
Didn't SS3 suck away Goku's time when he activated it? It was implied that Golden could be much more energy efficient if Frieza had worked with it, but Goku's all but dropped SS3.
> Team Goku wins the tournament
> Somehow The universes are not destroyed
> Each member of team Goku becomes the master of martial arts of a different universe
> The legacy of Master Roshi is spread throughout the universes
>Didn't SS3 suck away Goku's time when he activated it?
Exactly. It's probably what will happen to Frieza too if he goes Golden. He hasn't had the chance to train that form in Hell, being trapped in a cocoon and all, unless they pull some bullshit like he trained by meditating or something.
Older Pan won't be in Super. Super is ending at EoZ as Toyotaro has already stated.
It's okay, though, Toei is planning to continue the series after Super ends with a sequel, "Dragon Ball Super Z"
The humans work better under the non killing rules of the tournament because the strong fighters can't go all out against them and that gives them better chance to create an strategy, and that's a big advantage over cell that probably would have been treated like a punching bag after showing his regenerations powers
choo choo all aboard the money train! Let's milk this shounen to the last cent. Man I can't wait for Dragon Ball Super Mega Giga ZZ! Goku and Vegeta bragging in a retirement home about the good old days of 67 seasons ago.
I know, I was joking around. The whole "Super is ending at EoZ because Toyotaro said so" is a rumour that came from people misinterpreting a statement Toyotaro made at a press event in Italy. What he actually said was "We don't intend to write over the end of Dragon Ball Z" referring to them not planning to alter the end of the Dragon Ball Z manga when they eventually reach it. Naturally people took this and ran with it, misinterpreting it as him saying "Super will not go past the end of Dragon Ball Z", which is simply not what Toyotaro said.
>Gregory (an anime original character) is in the Super anime
>doesn't appear in the Super manga
Is the Super anime canon to the anime and the manga canon to the manga?
>yfw Frieza actually has become nicer thanks to his time in Hell
>Because he punches holes in people?
I guess I could buy that, maybe. Still sounds random but whatever.
>they just turned it into a reference to some English commercial
If this is true, I'm really curious what even could have been the original quote to allow them to convert it to a reference to donuts.
Finished Dragon Ball and just finished Dragon Ball Z.
Kai blast me in the ass that took a long time.
So all memes aside, do I start with GT first or Super?
It's because he views fighting and killing as a job, like the Dunkin Donuts guy. But yeah, someone maybe took a little too many liberties with that translation. It's not something most kids would get, especially.
People talk about Super Goku being dumb, but unless there was a fight going on, GT Kid Goku seemed really detached from reality half the time. It felt like Pan and Trunks were there to lead him around by the nose.
Ah, it all makes sense now. Though agreed about taking liberties with it, that is one ancient reference to catch, but I guess that'd fit right in with Hit.
Goddamn, just because a character loses every now and then it doesn't make them a jobber. I'm pretty sure you motherfuckers have called every character in DB a jobber at some point.
Frieza has to take a steaming shit on Frost. it NEEDS to happen.
Vegeta is the designated jobber though. If anyone eats dirt to shill the new villain, there's a very high chance it's going to be him since he's one of the tough guys.
Watch the Battle of Gods movie, followed by the Resurrection of F movie as both are canon. Then skip to episode 27 of Super, as the first 26 episodes are simply an extended recap of these movies and are boring, drawn out and with very poor quality animation.
Watch Super from episode 27 onwards. Don't bother with GT, as not only is it non-canon but it also takes place after the events of Super in the time line (though, since it's not canon and came before Super it contradicts the events of Super on numerous occasions). Also because GT is awful and really a massive waste of time.
So yeah, watch BoG, then RoF, then Super from episode 27 onward and give GT a miss unless you catch up to Super and get bored enough to start watching it. At that point you're on your own.
Yes he did but it's been retconned so he can still go into those forms still. (This contradicts what Tori stated in an interview)
In the manga God Ki isn't accessible in base form so he can logically still become those forms. He never fought Beerus as a SSJ either, he fought him as SSG til the very end.
Gohan is so disappoiting. By the end of the Cell saga you expect him to become the next great warrior. 1 chapter later and it's clear Goku is still the protagonist. I think the publishing house was against this big change because Goku was n*1 seller of merchandise or some shit.
Vegeta will have some great fights and showcase an amazing increase in power while fighting a bunch of powerful opponents. Then he will be knocked out of the ring by Jiren to show how strong Jiren is to make Goku's power more impressive when he beats him.
Does that count?
DB GT is a spinoff made to milk the series because Akira Toriyama didn't want to be a slave. DB Super is an official continuation from Akira Toriyama himself between the defeat of Majin Buu and Goku meeting Uub
>Humans are useful
>All the transformations were great
>Ginyu came back in the Anime version
>Vegeta was robbed of revenge
>Goku jobbed to a laser
>Anime version had the worst quality Super has to offer
>>Anime version had the worst quality Super has to offer
Having just rewatched the arc, I don't feel like it's as bad as the worst that the U6 arc had to offer. 24/25 have shit choreography and stiff animation but 26 is off model as all hell.
Koyama: In terms of the story side of things, for Dragon Ball, the amount of time until a chapter appearing in the serialization aired on TV was incredibly short. That’s because we would get to work on the script at the point where Toriyama-sensei had decided on the story, and started drawing the draft. I think that kind of immediacy was something that allowed the people watching to get into it easily.
Koyama: There are definitely parts where we caught up to the original work, and there was no way we would get ahead of it, so naturally, original material went in. In extreme cases, we’d even make the entire A-part (the first half of an episode) from a single panel of the manga. (laughs) However, I think the young writers at “Brother Noppo” really honed their skills with that. I’m extremely thankful for this work in the sense of it being a training ground, as well. To be honest, we’ve had questions come in about those original parts, asking where they are in the comics. In that way, I think the way the TV-original bits mixed well with the original comic is part of the appeal of the Dragon Ball anime.
>Even SSJ2 had more creativity put into it.
I know you hate SSB but lets not pretend this is true. SSJ2 is just SSJ except SPIKIER and with blue lightning. It's even lazier for Goku and Vegeta, where Goku just gets different bangs and Vegeta actually gets no change at all.
Goku thinks it’s exciting to meet someone so strong, and Oob agrees. As the two zoom by, Goku tells Oob he’ll get even stronger, and Oob says, “Yes!!” Thinking that’s not excited enough, Goku tells him to yell, “Yeah–!!”, and Oob follows suit, as the two disappear off into the distance….
“The great adventure of Goku and his friends, concerning the Dragon Balls! I can only show it to you all up until here, the end… Even after this, there will probably be various troubles, but somehow they’ll surmount them, without a doubt… It’ll be all right, because they’ve got the Dragon Balls…!”
Frieza was a dumb fuck and felt underwhelming
Frieza's henchmen were completely pointless

Shitty deus ex machina ending hurr lets just reverse time!!
The only movies I remember ever seeing were Bojack and the 3 Broly movies.
Forgot what second coming was but I still have the dvd.
I already saw Resurrection of F and Battle of the Gods when it came out quite some time ago. Should I really just skip the first 28 episodes though? That seems like a -lot-.
Which has more of my waifu mai, Super or GT?
Well, the original idea was for the series to end after the Cell saga, with Gohan replacing Goku as the hero of earth.
Thing is that after Toriyama eventually decided to make the Buu saga he tried to make Gohan the 'new hero' but eventually decided that being Goku 2.0 wasn't right for Gohan as a character. In the end he decided that he wanted Gohan to be his own character.
You can almost tangibly see the conflict in Toriyama while he was writing the Buu saga, the whole thing seems to lead up to Gohan becoming the hero at the end, surpassing everyone and defeating Buu. However you can pretty much see the point that Toriyama decides that this doesn't fit for Gohan when they don't bother to include him in the final fight against Kid Buu (Gohan at that point should have been stronger than Kid Buu, so getting him to the Kai planet would have made sense, in fact since he was killed when Kid Buu destroyed the Earth they literally could have just gone and gotten him using the Supreme Kai's instantaneous movement ability and brought him to the Kai planet to fight Kid Buu). Gohan's omission from this final battle is pretty telling about the fact that at that point Toriyama had decided he wasn't the next Goku.
As someone who watched GT as a kid so i should be biased and is now watching Super as a young adult i can say that Super is miles ahead of that piece of garbage especially if you ski RoF and just watch the movie.
Okay, son. Leave Videl to me.
Mai features in Super for an entire arc as a major character. Mai barely shows up for a single episode in GT.
Also yes, skipping to episode 28 is definitely the right thing to do if you already saw the movies, trust me, you will be completely bored re-watching the same plot lines simply drawn out over 27 episodes with basically nothing new added to them.
I'd advise not skipping the first two arcs. They do retread material from the movies but there are differences that carry through the rest of the series. Plus, 16-19 show Goku and Vegeta training with Whis.
What if there is a betrayal in the team, but not from Frieza? Like Vegeta or someone else in the team but Goku ringing out Frieza because he's a menace. Even if it's for well meant reasons, it would still count as a betrayal to the team wouldn't it? They'd be down one man against 7 other teams.
Canonically uncuckable, should just stick to the jobbing memes kouhai.
So, with this zenkai, even though Vegeta was stronger than everyone here, even though he was at freezer's 1st form level, he act like he's still number 2
He act like he was still weaker than Goku, Why?
>Frieza taking time to personally be a dick to Bulma
>Frieza complaining about Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan having a long and pretentious name
That's why I have high hopes for him in the tournament. He's such a petty dick.
I had no idea this existed. Thanks anon!
Whatever you say.
I like Frieza. It's more iconic and memorable. Cell has 3 complex transformations that look very exotic and insect-like. Frieza is more streamlined. Plus, he fought the most memorable fight.
I still can't believe there was actually an episode where someone tried to cuck Gohan by tricking Videl into thinking Gohan cucked her with some young Idol.
Seriously, it's like memes are real.
Now that you mention it, was ever shown in the manga that Whiss can reverse time?
I almost like the idea of using him for light comical relief in this upcoming event. Everyone just needs him for his power and knows he hates them all and doesn't want to be there, so they all suspect he'll do something to fuck him up, but he never does.
Well, the rules never said that. Plus when you think about it, bringing dead people kinda makes sense. After all, this is a fight for the survival of your whole universe, including the afterlife of that universe. So it actually makes perfect sense that bringing back your greatest warriors of the past to be a part of your team would be allowed.
That's precisely how I can see it going down. A bomb that never explodes situation. Everyone would assume Frieza would try something but he just never does anything. Maybe because of Beerus or maybe he literally just doesn't give a shit anymore.
Nah, I kind of see it going down like everyone's cautious around him and he tries to make it like his time in hell changed him a little, the only reason he agreed to fight was to be rid of it for a moment.
After all if they lost he, and hell would cease to exist so who really cares, he's just enjoying stretching his legs again.
Everyone starts suspecting that he's maybe changed after all until he murders the fuck out of his opponent.
Zebras can't change their stripes, etc.
He starts going on through the tournament that the only way they can win is to have his killer instinct.
Gets his shit pushed in.
"serves him right"
Sees Goku and/or Vegeta beat who he lost to and the "power of friendship" shit i effect.
May or may not appear to have an actual change of heart and then may or may not just nuke their opponent himself and DQ them as revenge for such a hoaky antic.
Just remember he's already dead and is in the worst possible situation. Non-existence would be a blessing to him and I don't think he gives even a quarter of a fuck about Beerus, especially now.
GT 's only redeeming features are near the end of it, the rest is filler. I actually liked the idea of the dragonballs piling up with negative enegry and creating evil dragons but you have to keep in mind it isn't canon.
>watch a clip of GT on Youtube
>feels like a DB sitcom with Vegeta as a protagonist
Any more moments like this? I'm a sucker for this kind of laid back filler:
i see a fellow dokkan battle player.
>each fight is pretty much the same with very few variances
I don't understand why they don't just load up Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and pick the characters and take ideas from the fight. Each character has their own moveset, it's fast paced and definitely feels like dragon ball fights
What's wrong? You don't like DADADADADADADADADADADADADA
>Goku shatters into many pieces, and slowly disintegrates into gas, which freezes down anything with range
>Goku can regenerate from all attacks, but does not get stronger, as he is already as strong as he can be
Why is this fanfiction shit so cringe?
I still miss the old animation so much more than this garbage.
And I know the old animation had low points too (like the QUALITY during the Cell v Goku fight) but the average was always so much better than the newer animation style. A lot less repeat frames too.
>tfw that's been better animated, choreographed and is way more intense/interesting than any fight we've gotten in Super so far
Here's hoping the tournament fight can draw out some of these kind of creative fight scenes, where it's not just kick/punch/ki blast repeat until goku kamehameha's something.
Anyways, I was referring more to some of the more quality animaton in the first(?) episode of the fight between Goku and Cell. The quality drop from the previous episode was fucking immense; You can notice the quality drop even in TFS abridged episode, and they have the liberty of editing out shitty looking scenes.
Jesus christ, these shills are spewing so much shit out of their mouths. Xenoverse combat is awful.
There's quality drops like that between episodes throughout DBZ, but I do think that the Cell fight was easily the lowest point for it's animation.
>Just me or was the Cell saga the lowest point of animation for DBZ?
So what would the scouter say about his power level now? Is there even a number anymore?
God Ki wouldn't show up on the scouter. SSJ2 would probably be in the billions, considering that it's twice as strong as the base SSJ form at Goku's power level was 150,000,000 all the way back in Namek.
Yeah it's a last minute buff but Merged Zamasu was so broken that asspulls are required to stop him. At least it makes sense, it's not like mafuba has a limit on what it can seal.
Except the limit where the act of sealing drains all most if not all of your stamina, and the limit that you need a seal to have it work properly.
Add to the fact this function of mafuba wasn't intrudced until this very chapter, this is a textbook aspull and given to Goku of all characters so he gets the glory again.
Who'd win in a fight, Full Power SSJB Goku or Full Power SSJ4 Broly?
FPSSB was hinted at when Vegeta fought against Hit and he couldn't exert any of SSJB's strength, and it was kinda hinted with Vegeta vs Black a few chapters ago when he constantly switched back and forth.
This is just Goku's way of doing it, but it's imperfect still.
Who's your favorite DBH original character?
>Demon Realm Soldiers
In the LSSJ form, Broly has technically infinite amount of energy. He'll just keep increasing in power unless you hit him hard enough to make him stay down for good, kinda like the Hulk.
But if you consider how massive the gap between Beerus and SSJ3 was, compared to how big the gap between SSJ3 and SSJ4 was, I don't think it'd be a big enough boost for Broly to not get KO'd instantly by SSB Goku.
It was never hinted, never.
It's an asspull, no build up or anything
Goku is a genius again
The beginning of the arc was great but it's clearly shit since chapter 23
Yep don't know why he didn't just introduce it.
Also how will the weakness make sense with Frieza arc where they won because they had more stamina than Golden Frieza?
And how is he going to be introduced in this arc?
Nigga that's DBM headcanon bullshit. Broly's "increasing Ki" in the movie wasn't an increase in power, it was overflowing Ki. Ki regen in other words. It got to the point where Broly had to expel some from his body just to manage it all.
>FPSSB was hinted at when Vegeta fought against Hit and he couldn't exert any of SSJB's strength,
Wrong. you're willfully misinterpreting the scene and pretending this reatroactively affects the context of either scene.
The only thing we are shown in the hit fight the fact SSB is a draining transformation and that keeping its usage limited is the only way to use it properly
And switching back and forth has nothing to do with what Goku is doing now, if what you say was true Vegeta would've been able to hold off F.Zamasu by doing that yet he gets fodderized instantly.
That's exactly what it was though, Broly's Ki is forever increasing, beyond what his body is able to handle, so he has to release it. He has a "cap" to the power his body can use, but not what he can generate.
And in SSJ4 I'd bet that cap would be massively increased.
Thanks for the clarifications, must be misremembering things. It's been a while since all these chapters are monthly and been co-watching with the anime.
Zamasu's portal punches are pretty cool. Don't like Goku being the best again, but I wonder if his new "transformation" in the anime will be similar to what he did here.
So Merged Zamasu is only equal to 100% SSB, that explains why even Base Vegeto could fuck him over.
Of course Zamasu could also be exhausted. Still though I think Perfected Rose Black is going to be the final enemy.
Well, I don't know anything about them storywise (some Digimon/Yu-Gi-Oh style crap applied to Dragon Ball, right?) and I can't even go by most fuckable because they all look like little kids. None of them, I guess?
Remember that Vegito isn't just Vegeta + Goku, he's pretty much an entirely separate character to them both. He doesn't have the training to reach perfect SSB is my bet.
Besides, Vegito could've wiped the floor clean with Zamasu even at just normal SSB. No need to attempt a risky technique that you haven't tried before.
>Vegeta saying Goku
>VIZ translations are garbage
Not exactly breaking news anon
>a single two letter word and VIZ manage to change the entire tone and delivery of the line and completely missing the humour of the original
downright impressive to fuck up so bad
What is happening to Toyotaro?
Since chapter 23, the art, the writing has dropped
>Sudden trunks convenient healing
>Convenient FSSB from goku which could have ended the arc from the start
They never said Goku's sealing the blue energy with the mafuba in the chapter
Was it headcanon again?
I mean, FSSB, out of nowhere, Trunks's healing being convenient (CONVENIENT DISCUSSION BETWEEN GOWASU AND SHIN)
He has a fucking month to write something good.
We were aware of the kaioken, a well know technique.
Also, it was coherent to keep this to the strongest enemy in a tournament.
But here, we talk about guys who destroyed trunks's future, vegeta SSB and goku still keep this to himself?
And job to zamasu?
Goku is the only one allowed to have asspull in the manga.
But he can't show it in the very beginning because the canon fodder named Vegata need to jobs a lot to make Goku more relevant
He just said "Is that so?" or "Oh" to the dude's rambling.
desu "ok" was less accurate and it doesn't offer anything to their conversation. It's funny as fuck, but in context it doesn't make sense for him to say "ok"
"Oh" is an actual accurate representation.
Both doesn't make the manga unreadable, though. I'm just happy that ViZ is beating MangaStream twice in two months now.
This is objectively false. What Vegeta did was remove the transformation weakness at the start of Blue, he didn't make it stronger but rather made it last longer
What Goku did was make himself go at 100%, but has harmful effects on the body
Never though this type of comic would be needed for the manga.
I just can't stand Toyo's shit at this point, trunks being a weakass annoyed me, i can understand his wish to keep consistency.
But then, he use FSSB out of nowhere.
Fuck this shit
No fake news
>What Goku did was make himself go at 100%, but has harmful effects on the body
Read the chapter you dumbfuck.
Goku can fight at 100% MUCH LONGER, prove that he did get strongee
No, they can use their power at 100% since champa's arc.
Goku here can but much much longer with FSSB, he was stronger than merged zamasu since the start
Even vegeta stated that goku did it in a better way than him
Mortals can use potara though.
But the time ring, if zamasu isn't a supreme kai, then how can he use the time ring?
How can black use the time ring?
Is toyo retarded in this chapter?
>>Vegeto doesn't instantly go 100% SSB to one shot Zamasu
Because it's risky, didn't you read the chapter? Goku clearly isn't ready for it yet and his body is breaking down on him
Imagine if Vegetto went FPSSB, then fucked it up and crippled himself.
Literally fighting gods.
the characters in this show may do big things but no one claims the'yre perfect.
I prefer the anime's weakness now.
The unstable soul was retarded but explained why merged zamasu was weakened with the immortal/mortal shit incompatible which made him unstable as it was stated by gowasu and vegeto.
Here, it's just the time limit, so goku need to be as powerful as him to hurt him.
Goku could have ended the arc from the start
>Yeah, so that Rose Goku Black could copy that and then fuck them over.
How would he copy that if goku end him?
"I woold like some pancakes with some maple syrup, eh. Then we can play some hockey"
>Need beerus tier fighter to kill him
>goku SSB is enough to fight him
Goku should have used his FSSB from the start then.
Thanks to him, humanity died, trunks will lose his universe, his timeline
