new chapter is up
well, the theory is basically 101% confirmed with this chapter.
most likely twins, note the cut off split branch. there's heaps of other stuff pointing towards it as well.
My guess is real!Ciel swallowed the ring (candy), and fake!Ciel took it out after summoning Sebastian, assuming his identity.
The sickly and more cowardly twin adopted his brothers persona in order to carry out their revenge, since he was too weak to.
All this zombie stuff and the Undertaker probably brought the other one back. The question is, why attack Soma/Agni? Why go after Ciel? Neither of them were behind the cult or his death. Something's fucky.
I think it's safe to say this will get a complete adaptation now.
School arc could be a tv season, witch arc a movie/ova and idol arc another season.
>Ciel is female theory
P-please don't insult my favorite character.
>goes against them.
Souma no doubt will be angry and angsty and will throw tantrums next chapter probably. But I suppose now that Agni is dead, Souma is gonna play a bigger role in the plot. He said he wants to become Ciel's Agni.
Does it mean Souma will die protecting Ciel?
My theory: The real Ciel was brought back as a bizarre doll by maybe undertaker, and has been convinced that his twin (our ciel) betrayed him and stole what "belonged to him" and is the reason he is dead, so now he is been manipulated to get revenge on our Ciel
An interesting twist would be if real!zombie!Ciel's goal was to ruthlessly divest fake!Ciel of Sebastian, in order to save his soul ("protecting him") and that Agni/Soma were just collateral or something. It'd be a goal the Undertaker would get behind too.
>It would show real!Ciel protective care over his brother but also the ruthless and a litte psycho nature Yana's hinted at in that one flashback with Vincent and Diedrich
>yfw the anime's second season was foreshadowing all along and it'd be a fake!ciel vs real!ciel and their respective demon butlers
This would be such a shit, but at the same time I wouldn't mind seeing another demon, just don't make him a butler or whatever
>Who was the other intruder though? Could he be undertaker?
Too short and no scar, so probably not the Undertaker.
Agni's supernaturally fast and strong and can go toe to toe with Sebastian, but got outpaced by the knife user. Whoever it is is dangerous.
I've seen people say that it's Lizzy, but I really doubt a zombie shota and little girl who got whooped bad by Sebastian would be able to kill Agni.
Whoever it was, they were fast enough to out dex build Agni, but not strong enough to break his death grip on the door - though, even Sebastian couldn't, and had to tear the handle off to open it. But they could of done that or knocked the door down, but didn't. At first I thought maybe they just didn't have the time to, but they had the time for the carving on the wall, so I think they just weren't strong enough.
>How much of a tease would it be if Lizzie was the intruder?
You mean the one with the gun? I could see that - maybe the photo had Lizzy in it. Still, there's a lot of 2CT vibes going on...
There's no way she was the knife user though. She's not fast or strong enough.
I can't believe the twin theory finally looks like it's going to be revealed. Like someone else mentioned, I believe it's a zombie brother due to Undertaker although I wonder what his goal is and I guess he has Lizzy under his control too. What I also want to see confirmed as well is that Vincent is a psycho dick and tried to sacrifice his family to become stronger like gaining shinigami powers. Undertaker and Vincent have a connection that was mentioned several chapters back and want to see if that leads to Vincent being the final big bad.
Alois was too good for this shitty demon, zombie alois when?
>Vincent is a psycho dick and tried to sacrifice his family to become stronger
I really, really don't see this at all. Vincent was psycho in regards to his role as the Queen's Watchdog, but there's nothing to support him doing shit to his own family.
Undertaker and Vincent were close friends, and there's also the grandfather theory, so Undertaker has a stake in the family as a whole, and is a bit less than sane.
It's a real stretch, but some people think the Undertaker, before he committed suicide and became a reaper (or, somehow as a reaper), was potentially Vincent's father (or knew his grandmother in some other way). This is because he's seen playing with a charm with her name and a date on it in ch35. What's more likely is that he just has some sort of as of yet unexplained relationship with Vincent's family line, and became too close to Vincent and his family in particular, leading to current events with the zombies.
I'm just glad the idol shit is over, I don't want to see my sweet Edward like a pussy slayer ever again, he is PURE
He's not behind the cult - we know that he loved the Phantomhive family.
He's just insane and causing a lot of problems with zombies, because he wants to resurrect them.
The people behind the cult are still the big bads.
>What is the basis for this evidence?
He had a charm with Ciel's grandmothers name and presumably date of death on it that he considered a treasure (and later gave to Ciel), and was beyond normally fond of Vincent. Still a pretty 'meh' theory though.
Edward is NOT for lewd
>He's probably just one step below the actual antagonist sebastian
How can the Undertaker be one step below Sebastian if he trashed Sebastian 1vs1?
There's no evidence Sebastian was holding back. What we saw clearly places the Undertaker above, not under your average demon/death God.
>There's no evidence Sebastian was holding back.
So long as he maintains a human form, Sebastian is holding back. That said >>157411265 is right, the anon you responded never mentioned strength or anything.
Edward is too generic-looking for my tastes and has a boring personality.
Cheslock is cool as fuck and punk playing a violin is amusing.
>Pure like a blushing maiden
>He is unremarkable, is aware of it and wants to be better
>Knows Ciel is a little shit and calls him out on it on times
>Probably a mama's boy
Edward is just too precious. And Cheslock's design, while cool, just triggers my autism more than any other of Yana'a historically inaccurate stuff because he is a high class victorian school boy but somehow he is also rocking nu-punk-goth style and a fucking mohawk.
he shat his pants very erotically
Maybe Lizzie stays with the bravat faction because of the other ciel? So far we haven't seen why she's so fanatic about it, I can't believe it's just how cool the parties are.
Ciel has a twin/double (most likely twin). One was the real Ciel, well liked, and the heir. The other was less liked and sickly. Real Ciel died in the ritual, and the brother assumed his identity and became the Ciel we currently know.
We've seen plenty of evidence of it. The split family tree, "Ciel" talking with someone in the flashback to just before the ritual, his dad introducing Ciel to people in a flashback with someone else obscurred, Ciel's supposed amnesia, etc.
The theory has been growing for a while and these latest 2 chapters seem to be confirming it.
Soma hitting Ciel in self deffense is close enough to confirmation of the theory, all he needs to say is that it was Ciel who tried to kill him and Agni and there will be little room to doubt it
So what could this be referring to? Tried rereading recent chapters, nothing really stood out.
Will we ever get the werewolf arc animated?
Happy times are over. Now we will not get any more fun arcs and only serious ones.
I can't believe that fucking theory is true.
But why target Soma? Could it be they will target other of Ciel's associates? Ciel's boy band?
SO, was Agni just a sacrificial lamb, or will there be a killing spree of characters for this arc?
>Sebastian behind the whole thing
Sebastian never been hinted being on the human realm outside of his contacts. If anything, Sebastian has been to be a true neutral evil. Everything he does is to get to eat a really delicious soul and enjoy the ride along the way.
>seven years later and you still hope Alois will show up in the manga proper
We're still without a Color Bulter
or Claude could be the second Yellow Bulter considering the black/yellow color scheme he had.
It's pure specula and it's based on why the 3DPD movie had Ciel's reincarnation as a girl disguising as a guy.
This, I do think that the real Ciel may have attacked Soma because he is considered to be Ciel's friend. If you are the real Ciel and you came back to life, you might not be all right in the head and probably hate that your sibling is getting all buddy-buddy while you're dead.
If it's 2CT, then fake!Ciel knew fully well his brother is dead... He saw him on the altar, and probably saw Sebastian pull the ring from his stomach or did it himself.
It's probably referring to something else that's not quite clear yet.
I can get behind this. Sebastian never calls Ciel by name. It's always Young Master or Earl of Phantomhive - both of which are true, as he would naturally be the successor of he's the only one left.
fake!Ciel was sickly and meek, and took on his brothers existence in order to get revenge, as he wouldn't of been able to do it himself. We've seen what happens when he reverts to his normal personality. He's lied to himself and everyone around him about who he is, and now it's all falling apart.
What we know is that his brother was determined to protect him up until the very end. If he's come back as a mentally fucked up zombie, and found out his brother is slated to have his soul eaten by a demon, has a dangerous underworld job, and is surrounded by troublesome people, no wonder shit might get messy.
So, most common theory is that yandere zombie brother is back, and ruining "Ciel's" life out of love? I can dig it.
It does drag the manga on more though... After dealing with this/Undertaker, Ciel *still* has to find the cult. And the Queen/her bodyguards are fishy.
>Tfw you're still waiting for the BD release of the movie.
But if the writing on the wall is a message from real!Ciel, then it seems he's pissed off at our!Ciel for something specific. I don't think he's doing this out of love he once had for him.
Fun things are fun. I don't read Kuroshitsuji for an accurate Victorian SUPER DEEP story. I read it for the art, irrelevant fun with a dark undertone underneath.
It could be that he's pissed that 'Fake' Ciel basically threw out his sacrifice for damning his soul for a demon.
Beside if it was the 'real' Ciel, he is technically a zombie and he is most likely not right in the head anyway.
>The question is, why attack Soma/Agni? Why go after Ciel? Neither of them were behind the cult or his death.
Well if Soma was to be killed or go missing then that would create a huge diplomatic crisis which would also put Ciel in a bad spot.
mite b cool.
But seriously, I doubt it since Real Ciel kinda killed a friend's beloved friend.
That said, I think Queen Victoria is possible Final Boss. Bitch was shady as shit with willing to frame Ciel for murder for Ciel fucking up with killing the mindbroken children in the Circus Arc and being super interested in the Green Witch loli for the mustard gas.
>ywn moe Arthur Conan Doyle homolusting over Ciel in the series again because Sebastian mindbreaks him into keeping his silence.
>he is technically a zombie and he is most likely not right in the head anyway
Wasnt the Undertaker trying to find a way for the zombies to be less mindless and have their conscious will?
Could be Undertaker finally achieving his goal or zombie!Ciel was thrown out as a failed experiment but gained consciousness after being thrown out? Idk just spit balling here.
>Queen Victoria is possible Final Boss. Bitch was shady as shit with willing to frame Ciel for murder
Don't think she's a bad person or meant to be the final boss, just a morally gray person trying to rule over a country and using others to do what she thinks is right for her country and the people who live in it.
If Soma died, it would drastic change Agni's character. Remember that Agni basically worships Soma as his 'sun and wind'. Killing Soma would have either lead Agni an hero himself or drastic change as a character. You would not get the gap moe character that everyone loves anymore.
I never get the hate for Soma. Yeah, he started as a selfish, spoiled and naive prince but after the Curry Arc, he got better and started to anticipate other's feelings and help them out. Losing Agni is basically destroying whatever naivety he was holding on to after the Curry Arc. We'll see if he honor Agni's wish to stay the same or not. But considering this is Kuroshitsuji, it's doubtful, at least at first.
