The big antagonist of this series said once a similar line, it involved illusions and everyone was trolled in a really dirty way including the readers of course. Since then this line was often taken and reformed when Kubo was being a hack. In the case of this pic that character basically asspulled a huge power up. It was established several 100 chapters ago that when his ice petals melt his bankai ends and he receives massive damage, in that chapter the petals melted and he transformed into some kind of matured version of himself with massive bullshit powers. Shit was funny.
