So, whats with Netflix original anime? Does Netflix actually fund the shows or just hold the distribution rights to the anime in the west? Cause I googled some and they for sure aired on TV. I remember Seven Deadly Sins airing on Japanese TV or something.
So its funding + official distrobution in west?

I hope we'll get more if the movie does reasonably well. Would love to see the Dhomo arc, as well as Seu's story with the parallel dimension shenanigans, somewhere down the line.

>The first battle with Sanakan is just a bloody mess. I hope I can finally understand what Nihei tried to draw
There's something I haven't quite understood yet about Sanakan's first appearance in the manga (bald head, graviton blaster arm). During the electric fishermen arc, she seemed to be part of the safeguard attacks force that tries to eliminate all humans on sight, yet when we later saw her again, she was depicted as part of the agency, the netsphere institution that tries to fix the whole mess with the haywire safeguard protocol. Was this a retcon, or did I miss some info tidbit?

>>157396358
And also, in all honesty this type of CG has already grown on me after watching Sidonia, and Arpeggio, aside from the CG, the sound effects are great, and the guy who did a 60 FPS version of the anime just made those CG passable to me.
>>157391516

>>157395916
The funny thing is the Blame CGI will hold up better over the years than Gantz. Realistic looking CGI ages like milk, compared to stylized designs.

>If you don't like moe in ever facet of your life you're just a faggot
>Unlike me, a masculine man who watches little girl cartoon
Everything about this is fucking horrible. I tried to be optimistic but I knew I was just kidding myself. The CGI is terrible and lifeless, and not in the inorganic silicon way that makes Blame unique. The characters look nothing like they're supposed to and the designs have been made shit. The atmosphere is fucked. It's on Netflix. It's getting a dub. We are barreling towards the worst case scenario at breakneck speed and there's nothing we can do about it. Tsutomu "George Lucas"Nihei did absolutely everything in his power to ruin Sidonia beyond comprehension and now for whatever wicked, vile reason he's doing the same to his magnum opus. It also could've concluded in a much more satisfying fashion.

Personally I still held out hope for Hoshijiro returning in some form. I guess, since I started with the anime, I thought she would be more important. That said, even in the manga there were so many hints, until after the Benisuzume fight when she was entirely forgotten until space penis needed a cheap way to return to life.
It would at least have been better if Smoogy had been something like Hoshijiro with amnesia, her memories returning along the way with Benisuzume encounters and such.
Orboth Enajiro and Benijiro regain her memories but are both just slightly different in personality and they both fight for the MC-bowl[./spoiler]

its all part of the charm.

>>157398891

this is a fucking disgrace, anime is officially dead
This was a good, fun movie.
The film kind of feels like a western. A stranger wanders into a town, solves their problems by shooting a lot and then wanders off. It was a good call to change the viewpoint to the electrofishers since Killy isn't really emotive enough to carry a film without turning it into super artsy shit.

>peoples actually pay for this quality
>>157405865
>Cibo is HOT AS FUCK

>>157405358
Killy!!
Just finished watching it, and I am glad that I watched it, but it's clear they wanted it to be a one-off movie of Killy's more popular exploits (those with the Electro-Fishers) and be done. A slice of Blame!, I guess. Plenty was changed, but I was pretty much okay with it. Three hours of Killy wandering the city might've been great for us, who read the original manga long before this, but they had to add all the different ingredients of Blame! into this movie if they planned it to be the only one while still letting it be paced like a movie.
Negatives: moe girls, tiny pointless subplots, Electro-Fishers acting more human than they prolly should have, choppy CG animations, changed plot points, Sana-Kan being expressive instead of emotionless
Positives: Killy has maybe 20 lines in the whole movie (most repeating that he's looking for NTGs), Cibo was cutely robotic, backgrounds look great and are probably taken directly from the manga pages, the same super-neato interface graphics and sound effects from the Sidonia are back and still great, That first "silence..... click. Wwhoooosh~" of the GBE in the first scene.
I'm pretty much satisfied. Found plenty to like and plenty to dislike.
>>157405358
Honestly laughed when she made that face
>>157405865
I agree. I am satisfied with how they did it. Lilly's search for the NTGs is too big a story to adapt into a two hour movie, so its good that they made it about the electrofishers finding a new home instead. I also felt the western vibe. Killy and Cibo also felt like they were larger than life, demigod figures that delivered the mortals from evil and moved on, giving hope. I wonder if cibo went off to rejoin Killy or if she remained in the village.
How long until this is ripped from netflix?
>>157406205
too long for me to handle

>>157406165
Am I alone in disliking how emotive Sana-Kan was? She doesn't show any emotion at all in the manga until the last couple volumes or so, but in the big battle scene she showed off a wide spectrum of emotion, from smug satisfaction to anger.
Still cute, tho
Someone post Cibo already.

What was the thing that Killy gave Zuru at the end?
>>157410039
I noticed that a bit later.
Camera movement and particles are fine but the character animation has too few frames and nothing to compensate for that.
I don't get why there are so few frames for character animation unless there is more to it than just using interpolation for the character bones.
How do i make screenshots from netflix?
>>157410926
They do it intentionally to emulate how anime traditionally moves in 2D. Nips think it looks like a bad PS2 cutscene otherwise
>>157411059
You can't
>>157410904I think it was implied that it was what kept him safe from the safeguard. It blinked the same color blue as the control tower did whenever it was nonhostile. I think they were trying to imply that they can find Killy anywhere now that they know he's an older safeguard construct, so he tossed it to Zuru so that the Electro-Fishers could use it.
I could be wrong, though. A second watch might clear it up if I look for it.

Sure, but I tend to enjoy "the adventure continues" kinds of endings, and those were pretty much all Nihei did before Sidonia. His lack of experience with definitive endings showed.
>>157411617
It's no news that Nihei sucks at ending a story. Sidonia was fine in that regard, if a bit rushed.
>>157411085
That's not how anime traditionally moves in 2D though.
High framerate is necessary for 3D character animation (And CG in general) to not look bad.
>>157411701
>like ten chapters where all he says is a grunt
>>157411805
I agree with you, but that's what the nips think which is why they keep doing it that way. Apparently the higher frame rate looks jarring to them similar to how some people didn't like the 48fps version of The Hobbit and thought that anything higher than 24/30 fps looked like a soap opera.
>>157411805
It's just what you are used to seeing 3D animation as. The frame rate is not a common complaint in Japan when it comes to 3D anime. This is literally done entirely on purpose because the Japanese are used to seeing animation at the 8fps at best most TV anime tends to be animated at. Studios even render shit in 24fps and then specifically remove frames from it to attempt to achieve a more anime like feeling to the animation when working in 3D.
I can finally post this image now woooooooo.

Yeah I don't know what to think about it. Centering it around the Electro-Fishers was a good idea. But I think the arc was much stronger in the manga and the movie wasted a lot of time with uninteresting characters and sequences that were way too long (like the one where all the people stumble upon each other as Sana-Kan reveals herself). The whole Mad Max thing doesn't feel out of place since it fits Killy, but would have been a much stronger movie if it focused only on Killy, Cibo, Zuru and the village's chief.
Maybe they should have been a bit closer to the manga : Introduce Shibo and Killy, Shibo does the loredump then they encounter the Electro-Fishers. They have a problem with this nest and Killy helps them, they encounter loli Sana-Kan on the way, boom introduction done.
Then everything else can more or less follow the manga and end with the fishers fleeing, Cibo ded and Killy MIA. Post-credit scene with Sana-Kan (Shibo) finding Killy.
It was still a fun movie though. Some parts felt like they were rushed during the production (some ugly burning rocks in the Sana-Kan fight), and the climax was underwhelming compared to the manga.

>>157412486
I waited almost the entire movie for tiny Sana-Kan to show up and send the village to fuck, but nah, it had to be all about a side character they gave us no reason to like. Out of all the other missteps, the rest are minor compared to how they handled Sana-Kan, in my opinion.

>>157412079
>CHUNK OF THE SUN
>Pool of Lava

>>157412641
Sana-Kan entering through Tae was fine though. What made it awful was all the poorly handled character drama surrounding it. All that shit should have been in the background. Heck we spend something like 5-10 minutes on the villagers having their thing and then flipping out as Sana-Kan slaughter them before Killy FINALLY get into the picture.
A lot of that shit could have been cut out to have more Sana-Kan/Killy and Shibo/Authority interaction and a bigger climax.
>>157411926
Except that there are some mild differences in that comparison.
The Hobbit, as far as I know, wasn't properly made for 48 FPS, so editing techniques and props that would have been fine at 24 FPS didn't work as well since the props for instance would have been more clearly visible (and also more clearly fake).
And people that think anything higher than 24/30 FPS looks like a soap opera are retarded/ probably being confused by the interpolation in their TV or are associating higher framerates with other cheap practices employed in soap operas.
>>157411950
The framerate in the anime is high though (As evidenced by the smoothly moving particles).
The character animation just isn't.
And there is no compensation for the lost frames, characters just jitter from motion to motion and information that would have been contained in the motions between those moments is lost. I hate to say motion blur using the frames of animation they have would have had access to but I feel that it wouldn't be as bad as this.
I watch a fair amount of anime and it doesn't feel nearly this bad (Though admittedly a lot of anime barely animates half the time and I'm probably massively mentally excusing blatant low FR because of the medium, whereas I'm more strict with CG that doesn't have the limit of having to drive slaves for each frame).
>>157412316
Literally retarded.
>>157412794
Pretty much. They should've trimmed the fat and added some more lean, robotic muscle. There wasn't nearly enough full-body Cibo.
>>157412838
It's a stylistic decision. It might not appeal to you, but it is 100% intentional.
Look at the scene where Cibo is talking to the Authority. Every movement is super smooth because it's supposed to look 'unnatural'.
Movie was nice. Always enjoy more Blame
>>157412838
You honestly just notice it more because its how you are used to seeing 3D animation. 3D animation in your mind should be smooth and fluid because of playing video games or watching western animation films where you are used to that.
They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think it looked better to them. The thing you are missing I think is that most of the time the 3DCG animation companies in Japan don't have a goal of making good 3DCG animation like Disney or whoever. The ultimate goal is making 3DCG animation good at replicating hand drawn anime style animation.
Think of it from a business perspective as a 3DCG animation studio in Japan what do you have as a USP? You can never compete with the likes of Disney or whoever on animation quality thats just impossible. What they see is they need to capture the unique feeling of Japanese animation that both the Japanese and fans around the world love for being different to that Disney animation.
You can argue about how succesful they are in doing that currently sure. But I think maybe it would be helpful to understand where they are coming from. The goal isn't higher frame rates the goal is feeling like 2D anime but with the benefits of 3D animation like dynamic camera movement being easy and such.

Sidona did end somewhat abrutly, but honestly the ending wasn't that bad.
If it had an extra two chapters to flesh the hanging plot threads out instead of the info dump it would have been great.
It was a nice to see they hadn't forgotten Sidonia's mission was to seed planets with human life and then move on to the next planet/sector.
It was a nice mix of "happy ending" for most characters and "the adventure continues" for others.

I didn't really get that feeling, though I'm coming into the movie having read the manga multiple times over and discussed it to death. If you mean scenes like Cibo leaning in close to Killy's face, or when they wordlessly decide to split up before the climax, those are mostly due to Cibo not particularly minding/paying attention to/even understanding the concept of physical closeness, while the wordless plan-making was more Killy just being Killy and never saying any more than he feels he has to.

I think the scene where Cibo leans about an inch from Killy's face was one of them, but it was more a general tone.
Like, it felt as though the two had known each other longer than they possibly could have and there was a certain degree of trust I found hard to swallow.

Cibo was always pretty mysterious in the manga. She just KNOWS things. Mostly via hacking people/things and rifling through their memories/data. Maybe that didn't get across that well in the movie, though she's shown affecting machines without touching them several times.
Or maybe it was just two world-weary souls understanding each other on-sight.

>Like, it felt as though the two had known each other longer than they possibly could have and there was a certain degree of trust I found hard to swallow.

Something being intentional doesn't necessarily make it not bad.
The movements being smooth achieve the reverse (for me) because then the smoothness is easily tuned out, as opposed to the real world sections where the low frame characters contrast against the higher framerate environment (Such as particles from a fire) and are a constant reminder.
>>157413072
3D animation is smooth and fluid because it's supposed to be. Traditional animation typically intentionally cheats to simulate missing information while conserving effort(When it's not limiting the amount of information displayed by basically using stills), naturally captured footage can retain information because the light that is captured does not cease to exist between frames so that whatever is capturing, be it film or a sensor, is still being exposed to light constantly(At least this is my understanding) but 3DCG does not naturally retain information of a movement when the frames of an animation are limited.
So 3DCG either has to cheat like traditional animation would or include the easily accessed information like natural footage would.
This does neither and jittery CG without supplements is not good at replicating traditional animation styles, it doesn't feel like 2D anime that would cheat as opposed to presenting the frames as they are (which in this case would equate to effort) and it's not much an investment of effort to have very high framerates for animation if the actual framerate is already that high.
Being able to more effortlessly copypaste and animate assets and pan the camera is a boon (When handled well) but it doesn't have to be the only one.
Also I get that this is mostly my opinion and I'm just going to end it here because anything more is just going to be about whether something does or does not feel right and then you truly enter the realm of completely subjective opinions.

>>157415034
I was never trying to argue with you about if its good or not and I am not saying your opinion is wrong. Although I think it is pretty good for 3DCG in anime. Just trying to inform as to what they are going for. Far too often I see people conflating CG animation looking like this in anime with it being low budget or thinking they couldn't afford more frames or something and its a cheap way out. It probably isn't cheap and they have probably cost themselves far more money in trying to make it look the way it does by having to pay skilled animators to remove specific frames in an attempt to give a more anime feeling.
I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to "retaining information" when frames are limited though. It's essentially just exactly the same thing when it is broken down. A series of still images in sequence one after the other regardless of being 2D or 3D. The characters aren't disapearing between frames of character animation. I think maybe what you are thinking about is how things like the background or other elements may be moving in the frame at a different rate to the character animation which I agree is always a bad choice.
That is why a lot of 3DCG in anime sticks out so much when used together with 2D animation I think. The background or car or whatever will be animated at 12fps say and the character animation is still at 8fps.

>retaining information
For filming and in real life light is essentially information. The light reflecting off of an object is constantly going to the sensory cells in your eye or is imprinted onto film or is registered by the sensors in a camera. The objects in something that is animated do not actually exist between frames and neither does the light and as such neither does the information so either that information must be suggested to the viewer or the framerate must be high enough or else the viewer will likely notice a lack of information.
I would food analogy here but instead just imagine a loaf of bread being sliced.

>>157416432
He is right, I checked.
But she doesn't 100% block the shots - certainly, not in the way that this film has it happen. Sanakan only stops the lowest-setting GBE shots, and only twice: once by neutralizing it with her own shot, and once in a really unclear way that might just be her sidestepping it.
>>157416432
Whichever volume has their fight at the Electro-Fishers' village. Her left hand has a sort of reflector on it that deflects GBE shots. She also uses it in the climactic battle of volume 10 with the level 8(?) safeguard to block part of its superblast and save Killy.
As for the GBE, as far as I know from diving into forums and shit for Blame! information, Nihei commented that the GBE was more of a "kill switch beam" for the tech that controls gravity in the city. If they weren't regulating the gravity to normal levels, the whole thing would collapse in on itself. The GBE erases that gravity regulation within its beam.
That's just my understanding of it, at any rate.

>>157416713
Ya, it was a solid blocking of the beam. She stands her ground and tanks the beam, splitting it into several smaller beams. The movie treats the GBE more like a super laser than the comics tho.

>It probably isn't cheap and they have probably cost themselves far more money in trying to make it look the way it does by having to pay skilled animators to remove specific frames in an attempt to give a more anime feeling.
This is honestly what gets me about it. They're actually putting in more effort to emulate what was originally a budget saving method of emulating smooth animation. To end up with something that looks like you couldn't hire enough inbetweeners. It's fucking backwards and I hope it's either refined or they grow out of it.

he's not a safeguard
I'd thought that I'd had this discussion for the last time
From the artbook; from Nihei:
「人間だが、かなり高度にサイボーグ化されている。」
For you not-nerds: "He is human, but has been considerably cyborg-ified."
Interpolated 60fps when?
Why did Killy kill that one Silicon who was just an astronomer?
>>157417619
that basically just means his consciousness came from a human originally.
We saw him regenerate from being a molten piece of junk in the manga, his body is 100% technology.
>>157417858
>his body is 100% technology
"no"
>>157416771
But the GBE is a lost tech by the time the manga happens, we only have Sanakan with her GBE shotgun, Pcell with her GBE sword and Killy with his handgun, though there was that group of Silicon Life knights who used a gravity shield to deflect a shot from Sanakan but they needed a whole bunch of them to deflect just one and they still got overwhelmed
>>157417948
Anon, he was reduced to his goddamn bones, we saw a metal skull when he tanked Cibo going nuclear on him, he had 60% of his body burned off, his mind and body may have been human once upon a time but he has suffered a full conversion
>>157416771
>>157417950
It's never made clear what exactly the GBE does - presumably, because Nihei doesn't have a real answer. It's just a cool gun. The explanation that he gives in the artbook ends with "... and the explosive expansion of mass destroys everything." Anything too complex to maneuver with current science, this included, is essentially handwaved with 'lol dark matter'.
>>157418005
If he was a machine, he would be a machine. He is a human. Therefore, he is not a machine. Therefore, he is human.

>>157416408
Sorry that is bullshit. There is no material difference between a film running at 24fps or animation running at 24fps regardless of it being 2D or 3D. It is all just a series of still frames one after the other arranged in an order to give an impression of movement. Real life is different sure, there are as many "frames" as the eye can detect. In film even analog though the frames are cels just like animation.
So is there a torrent link for this yet?
>>157417575
It will probably just get better until 2D animators are out of a job in 30 years.
>>157417798
It's his only joy in life.
Honestly I think the worst part of the film was Killy staying behind at the end. Never read the manga but it just feels like such a cliche ending for his character even if they obviously purposefully left the story open for him to still be alive and make further movies.
>>157418481
I never fully understand those last "killy like" safeguards. Are they made just to kill killy? Are they clones or something?
>>157418920
They're copies of him, but not as good. And they don't have hair. See: the lip scar indicative of Killy here. But it's the Safeguard that we're seeing, not Killy.
>>157418894
Tactically, he couldn't fight it and save them if they were still around. The GBE would kill all of them, which is why he didn't use it in multiple other instances.
>>157419096
Why don't they give GBEs to them?
>>157418718
Maybe. I don't really want 2D to die like it did in the west, but it could easily happen. I think for now it's just that they don't go far enough in trying to make stuff look 2D if that's what they're going for. You can drop frames, but if everything is still essentially a keyframe it's going to look weird.

It's distinctively intended to be another GBE, but weaker. Killy's GBE is a prototype weapon from before the Safeguards existed; it's entirely possible (probable) that they simply don't know how to replicate it.
>>157418395
The only waifu killy has is humanity.

These are those remasters. But in English, with poor translations.
Filthy secondary here: I really liked the movie. Great atmosphere, beautiful visuals (yes, I like Polygon's work) and the character's don't look like shit.

Vertical Comics is doing a new "Master Edition" of the manga with big outsize pages. It's good stuff, although the new cover illustrations are Sidonia-era Nihei and don't match his older style inside. The only bad thing that stands out is that Killy has been renamed Kyrii fir some inadequately explained reason. I once asked a Vertical about it on Facebook and they said it was an author request, although I don't know if they were bulllshitting me or not.
>>157420148
Of course they bullshitting you.
>>157420246

>>157420246
So why rename Killy anyway? Does the Vertical translation make any other mistakes? Nit the Blane has a lot of dialogue to translate in the first place, but still.
How big is Killy's Willy???
>>157420111
The first two volumes of which - yes. The rest haven't been released.
>they said it was an author request, although I don't know if they were bulllshitting me or not
Do you really think the social media manager of Vertical would know anything about the company's inner machinations? I know you said that you're uncertain, but you get my point. The line he gave you is probably on a card which tells him how to deal with people making inquiries about their translations. If *anything* is claimed to be an authorial request/intent, then you lose the ability to criticize or question the decision.
>Why did you write "ペニス" as "shamalamadingdong"
>The author told us to
>Oh, okay, I guess that's how it was meant to be read
And then that interaction goes online, and becomes the go-to 'truth'.

>Couldnt spend it with Cibo
Just Fuck My Shit Up
Anyone know why brooding characters with Killy's haircut always lose their weirdo girlfriends in the end? It happened forHei and Ichisetoo.
>>157419450
I never understood why we never got a Blame! doujin where Cibo celebrates getting a new body after centuries as a rotting corpse in a sewer by repeatedly and enthusiastically recombining genetic material with Killy. I mean, it seems obvious really.
Holy fucking shit I love this. How is this so good despite being 3dcg?
>>157420340
It was never specified to be 'biological', but the egg at the end will not open in any place which is not "contaminated". After the child is born, they wear a hazmat-type suit while following Killy around. Also, the child at the beginning of the manga - not wearing any sort of protection - is killed by the Silicon through unclear bio-tech means and has something happen to his genetics resultant of it. That's why I wrote it that way.
>>157420703
It might have existed, but there weren't a whole lot of people uploading dojin material in 1998.

>>157420338
It's the official translation that's used in all Japanese material, too.
Most likely Vertical chose to change it to Kyrii because "Killy" sounds dumb in English, and is actually supposed to be a corruption of the Japanese word "kiri," which means "mist."
For example, in Blame², there's a community that he met so long ago that he only exists in their folklore as "the Mist."
Where's meme cartel when you need them?
>>157420797
Polygon Pictures has figured out how to do CG anime very tastefully, IMO. And Nihei's works translate pretty well to CG.
It also helps that Tsutomu Nihei was very heavily involved in the film, writing the script, designing characters, doing storyboards, and providing a lot of supervision.
So, just finished watching.
Pretty fucking great. Excellent pacing, great atmosphere, and very true to Blame!
Of course it's a very streamlined story that incorporates a handful of key moments and elements from across the series to tell a more concise story in a 90 minute runtime.
It really feels more like an excellent pilot. I desperately hope that the reception is positive enough to get a full animated series greenlit.
My only disappointments were that it couldn't include all of the staples, like Silicon Life, Toa Heavy Industries, Dhomo, etc.
Still, makes for an excellent introduction to the series.

>>157422608
They made Knights of Sidonia work. It's a bit more accessible than Blame! but it's also still pretty hard SF, especially in the first season.
And Samurai Jack has certainly shown itself to still have a strong following (probably now more than ever), so I think something like Blame! would certainly find its audience.
>>157422075
It is *not* a corruption of "kiri". His name is made up of two kanji. 「霰」 and 「亥」. "Kiri" and "i". "Mist", and the twelfth sign of the zodiac. There is no community that calls him "the Mist" in Blame² - there's not even a community in Blame². He is referred to as "A/The Calamity" in Blame² (「厄」 and 「災」, "yaku" and "sai"), but the protagonist also refers to him as "Killy" by name, without parentheticals. There are no direct references to Killy made in Netsphere Engineer at all, either. So, I'm not sure where you're getting this "mist" thing.

>>157422812
I guess you're right. I haven't read it since it was originally published in whatever magazine it was published in.
Though it's worth noting that the versions of that and NSE in Blame! Academy and So On are not the same as the ones that were first published.

I've never seen another version of Blame 2. NSE, yes, but there shouldn't be any real differences there.

A movie plot device.
In the manga, even if he shoots the GBE at full power ten times, he only needs to recharge his body like every ~100 years at the least. They couldn't keep the stakes low enough for individual humans to matter but still high enough for Killy to be necessary in the film, so they just added a nerf.

The original Mori was, yes. The theory is that Killy didn't want Sanakan/Cibo to die, so he tried recording them on top of our Mori - whoever our Mori was. The original person is slowly reconstructed over the course of that chapter, so we end up with just the original Mori whether or not we assume that the others were copied.

What the fuck is this shit, the BLAME ost was released May 17 and there is no dumb yet? What the fuck
>>157426057
Link the posts that you think support your argument, because chances are I've already debunked them.
Have you been paying attention?
There is nothing that links Mori and the person in the backup world, let alone Cibo or Sanakan.
>>157426101
You're not even funny, you're just sad.
You are so foolish that I can't understand you.

Uhuh, okay anon, I gotcha.
Since we don't need to support our conclusions with evidence any more, let me tell you that I'm actually Nihei and everything I've said is correct.
>>157425918
>What do you mean upload?
Killy gave the memory pack to the government guy who uploaded it to the cloud.
>there is no indication that the character in chapter 65 is Mori
The usb stick "mori" necklace? What we are discussing here is if it's a 100% Mori or 50% Sanakan or whatever.
>>157426084
Just checked and the colors are off in vlc and windows media player as well

Textual evidence or get out.
>>157426411
Epic argument, dude.
Really frazzles my thinker.
>>157425860
Honestly I don't really know a good way to put it into words. I'd know it if I saw it.

> Near the end, one became Killy's partner: "Mori," a being that exists in the Emergency Backup Pack...... somehow or another it became Killy's partner.
>The "Emergency Backup Pack" is the cylindrical object that Cibo prepared when was staying in the child-body of Sanakan. She was surely conscious at the exact time of the emergency designed it then, but what kind of information is kept in there?
>... On the other hand, Mori's Emergency Backup Pack is pretty huge.
>But certainly the lower brain functions are all the same so do we have to calculate those in?
>Having said that, multiple personalities can just be written on top of that base. That way the volume gets pretty big, though.
>"Mori" could be the company's name or maybe the first little girl who was originally saved there.... The answer will forever be a mystery.
>And is it that individual's original personality a girl, or was it another person (a man?) who was overwritten? That's also something we will never know.
Kill yourself
>Sometimes a Proxy Organism is downloaded into basic reality, that interface personality comes attached.
>The original one keeps existing forever.
>So after a long time, a whole lot of these affixed personalities pile up on top of each other.
>With no order..... Speaking of which, Sanakan also might be that kind of being.
>>157426430
You can't possible be that stupid.

>he "Emergency Backup Pack" is the cylindrical object that Cibo prepared when was staying in the child-body of Sanakan. She was surely conscious at the exact time of the emergency designed it then, but what kind of information is kept in there?
And that explains why he found it on a random body in the middle of nowhere how?
And why this backup pack has no memory of killy whatsoever, no shows any later?
>>157426589
Again, no evidence that this character in this digital world is Mori.
Likely somehow related to either Cibo or Sanakan, but not Mori.
Pay attention.
>>157426606
What the fuck are you talking about? Are you having a stroke?
Is the 1080p just an upscale?
>>157426666
Are we even talking about the same thing?
Mori.
The character Killy picks up along the way in the middle of nowhere who has no memories of killy whatsoever?
>>157426508
I mean, how would you make a game like that, that's also fun?
>>157426648
Doesn't matter what you're saying, the person in the digital dump world was retrieve from a memory pack called MORI, we are discussing who was the data inside from.
>>157426728
You're just stating truisms. You've never actually given an argument.
Killy is alive!
Killy has a gun!
This is a manga!
I'm going to bite out the throats of anyone who says anything contradictory to my personal beliefs, which I have not stated!
>>157426763
Probably the dead body he was laying right next to, no?
Occam's razor does you a whole lot of good sometimes, Einstein.
ITS A MIRACLE, THE MOVIE WAS GOOD
>>157426773
Don't play dumb with me, dipshit.
You've been arguing this whole time about how Mori is leftover data from Cibo/Sanakan despite no textual evidence whatsoever.
>>157426746
Oh, well personally I think fun is relative. I guess if I wanted to make such a game fun for myself I would just make sure to make it so that it wasn't too repetitious, that the procedural generator or however the game was built included a lot to discover, or at least an interesting way to interact.
If it was going to be Blame! inspired, maybe something like Reciever would be a good example, though the random generation is pretty basic, it manages to have some fun gunplay and good gameplay. Maybe something similar could be done with a ripoff GBE, destructible environment and some safeguard-esque enemies.
>>157391204
Been waiting a long time for this.

>how Mori is leftover data from Cibo/Sanakan
Okay, you aren't a native English speaker. You've just confirmed that. Nobody in this thread - much less *myself - has ever thought that that was true. Again: are you having a stroke?
>>157426802
Probably. but the data was overwritten several times, indicating it has Sanakan or Cibo memories too. Why would Mori forget Killy if it was just uploaded to the net normally?
>>157426889
Holy shit I'm tired of this song and dance.
Keep your headcanon, I don't care.
