2. Is that common?

3. The manga from which the images in this thread are being shared seems to have a lot of near-nudity and suggestive stuff, it basically seems like softcore or erotica. Why does the artist do this instead of the more straightforward hentai?

Is it because mangas like this one are treated as "regular" manga and so get published much more/reach bigger audiences then Hentai (and thus make more money for the publisher)?

My questions are a combination of me not knowing how the manga & doujin industries and circles work, in addition with the general fascination that there is apparently a large "effective" difference between ecchi and hentai even tho in many cases said ecchi is borderline hentai.

Is that why things like Monster Musume can work and succeed as a "mainstream" manga/anime even tho, from what I saw, it is basically primarily and near-exclusively borderline porn?
