Let me see if I remember right.

The majority of the world is actually an uncharted land of monstrosities called the Dark Continent. The big dogs of the known world, the V5, each set out on an expedition to it in the past. The last time, President Netero and two friends went with. Every time it was a disaster, but each time they brought back a specimen. These five creatures are each individually more dangerous than the recent chimera ant problem. Due to the danger, Netero convinced everyone to shut the fuck up about this place.

With Netero dead, his son, Beyond, who has gone there before apparently, convinced some powerful dickhole country called Kakin to fund an expedition there. President Netero left a tape for the Zodiacs to see where he anticipated this would happen and asks (not orders) them to deal with it in his absence. The Zodiac plan to arrest Beyond and, peculiarly, he shows up at their place himself and comes in quietly. The V5 also subsequently accept Kakin into their ranks (so, now the V6) to help gain control of the expedition.

Kakin is sending thousands of civilians to the Dark Continent out of the spirit for adventure using a giant whale-like ship, except it's all a ruse: they're actually just going to some uninhabited island near The Gate. The Gate is a place where magical beasts watch over the Dark Continent and they'll willingly summon humans a guide if they show up. The Zodiacs are being taken by Morel from the fake continent to The Gate.

The King of Kakin is using the boat ride to let all of his children essentially assassinate each other to determine who succeeds him. They each have unknowingly taken part in a ritual that gives them Nen beasts to watch over them. They each also have person armies, mercenaries and/or hunters protecting them.

Pariston and Ging left the Zodiacs to join Beyond's group. Beyond's group is seemingly getting to the Dark Continent on their own and fully expect the Zodiacs to release Beyond once there.

Why Pariston joined is unknown, but Ging joined specifically to stop whatever troll shit he has planned. With two spots open in the Zodiacs, Cheadle asks Leorio to join, as he's popular among the Hunter Association for punching Ging and they need the organization's full support; Cheadle convinced him to join by offering him Nen/medical training and money and doggy sex. Leorio then recommended they hunt down Kurapika, who was still working for Nostrade. Mizaistom found him and convinced him to join by revealing to him that one of the princes is known for collecting body parts, and we - the reader - know he indeed has several Kurata eyes as well as what is almost certainly Kurapika's friend Pairo's head in a jar.

There was a subplot about the hunter exam and how a ton of people were let through easily so they could be enlisted to come along this expedition, but a lot of people were also caught by Kurapika and kicked out for being...I honestly don't know. Some of Beyond's people and some of the Kakin bodyguards took the test, but I never really understood why or why some were failed.

At any rate, for some reason, this leads them to believe Beyond has a mole in the Zodiacs, and Kurapika uses his lie detection skills to figure out it's Saiyu, the monkey. However, upon questioning Beyond, he seems to wholeheartedly know nothing about it, so they come to the conclusion he's actually Pariston's spy and they plan on arresting him mid-route to the fake continent.

Kurapika hires several friends and friends-of-friends to help him infiltrate the princes in order to discover which one has the Kurata eyes, and he ends up watching over the youngest son, a baby named Woble.

Gon is at home retraining his Nen from the beginning.

Chrollo killed Hisoka. Hisoka resuscitated himself, got salty, killed Shalnark and Kortopi, and is now hunting down the rest of the Spiders. Chrollo has his eyes set on the ship because princes = treasure.

Apparently Ging's dad or something, Don, once wrote the first of a two-part book series all about the Dark Continent. The second part hasn't been written yet and it's implied Don is still alive in the Dark Continent, writing his book.

Ging has use any hatsu after seeing it once 'cause he's Goku.

We're now on the ship and we don't know if Chrollo, Hisoka, any other Spiders or any of Beyond's team are there, too, but the Zodiacs and Kurapika's buddies are. The princes Nen beasts or whatever are currently running amok.

At some point in the voyage, nasty storms and monsters will require that the top deck (where the nobles and beautiful people are) will be covered in a dome.

That's all I remember. Half of it's probably wrong.

Assuming that is actually coming back we will just get 10 chapters if we are lucky, 10 chapters in which Kurapika won't even leave the room, and at that pace we will get to the black continent in 50 years if we are lucky.

The manga is coming back, Togashi's wife is going to continue the publication. But it will be centered about the relationship between Hisoka and Machi. They are in love, but they can't accept their feelings.
Hisoka is in a crusade to kill the Spiders, but he can't bring himself to kill Machi.
And Machi can't help but have feelings for the guy that is slaughtering his mates. HOW WILL THEY OVERCOME THIS SITUATION? TRUE LOVE ALWAYS WINS.
