Zoroposter is great, I even made him some oc.
The fact that you autists compliment and praise these attention whoring shitposters is fucking embarrassing. It's like I'm on MAL, jesus fuck.
I honestly can't think of a better girl/sister for Luffy. They get along so damn well.
Becoming a good fuckbuddy for the mad monk.
Can we have a serious talk about this fucking "jobbing" thing not just in OP but every shonen now. I thought it only applied to people who gets hyped up alot only to lose to someone weak. But now literally everyone who is not operating at 100% bad ass all the time or there is a suspicion they might go get taken down is now a "Jobber", thats god damn fucking stupid. So now no character can ever have a victory because the losing character was a "jobber". Judge, who btw is super interesting character
(just in case any of you say hes not, an unfit leader of a feared evil army only doing it out of honor of his family and trying to get it back even if it means making your sons into heartless monsters and forming an alliance with one of the most heartless criminals in the see)
but no, he's not CRAZY HYPE STRONG, so he's a jobber. I know Naruto and Bleach ended but cmon I know the fanbase wasn't always like this. I know its just a meme, but I don't get why you people do this to yourselves, it's a bummer going through these threads to be completely honest
Not really a shitpost but I love the impostor edits
So, can we bet that Oda has already designed and ordered all of Big Mom's children and like Whitebeard's commanders, they will all be revealed in some extra material once the arcs over? I mean, with the importance he places on mentioning which birth order they are, and the fact he reveals things like Opera being quintuplets, I have to imagine he did design them all and a lot of them have just been appearing regularly in the background.
I'd find that easy to believe if not for the fact that so many of the oldest ones are the ones that have been named and are so prominent. Either that means almost all of them are alive or when one dies, they just all move up a ranking as if the dead ones never existed.
It's very much par for the course in the OP universe, history and organizations and events are regularly erased from existence every day. So much of the stuff we've seen just in the series never officially happened, which only makes it more reasonable to believe so much of what we're told about others didn't happen either.
>Naruto and Bleach end
>suddenly shipping fuckers start appearing in One Piece threads
>they keep wanting Monet and Carrot as Nakama and start waifuposting
Does One Piece get any good again? I dropped it after the time-skip because it was really boring. Should I power through?
Actually, it doesn't distract from it at all but rather reinforces that haki didn't exist at that point in the story because the only reason he would've had to bet his arm is if he couldn't use haki
three quarters of the way sounds just about right. up untill dressrosa it felt like one piece still has a long way to go, but once you finish zou you realize that there's not much left
6 feet deep
Would honestly make the crew fresher, on the female part. Robin is cool but she already have the "Stay serious during the gag" trope, so she can't really get into it. Nami is a bitch.
>I am the third-strongest guy in the crew, because all I do is kick
>Whoops, I now finally realize I am just a jobber in the New World and share ranks between Franky, Robin, Chopper, Brook, Jinbe and Carrot
Any predictions for the length and matchup during the wano arc?
With all the characters being involved i honest expect it to be linger than dressrosa maybe 120-130 chapters. So far we have :
SHs & allies
>On Air Pirates
>WB pirates remnants
Great chapter of One Piece this week! how does Oda do it?
Any change for Big Mum to join Luffy 's crew member ?
she have dreams
she have flashback
and she like foods
There's a picture of Oda's work space has a note that says
At the top right.
What if Carrot
becomes the leader of her own pirate crew?
ODA, WHERE'S MY NIGRESS PUDDING?
Not keeping Carrot on the crew forever doesn't make any sense in any context. She is a perfect fit for the crew, and perfect cash cow for merchandising. Carrot is a breath of fresh air for the series. Seeing what shenanigans she will get in to is one of the things I now look forward to most.
Agreed. I hope Carrot joins the crew!
I dislike smug Carrot shitposters for shitting on Jinbe, Caesar or other guys.
>dis is my favorite shitposts ecks dee I'm so funny
How do we fix the reddit problem, bros?
>How do we fix the reddit problem, bros?
by kicking you out
Least favorite: Franky (post timeskip)
What if he already does
He can do more than an average logia, he can dehydrate, fast reflexes like when doflamingo decapitated him
>diversity not up to snuff
>literally has furry
>a fucking living skeleton
>fishmen and mermaid
>people that have weird bodies ie Kuma and Moria are considered common
>all current admirals are Asian-like
It's like they only want shit-skin in everything and not others
If each SH had a gun, what kind of gun would they have?
But I want to stay
I'll answer in generalisations I guess and not serious guns because if I'm honest I know fuck all about military tech.
AR of some kind, with tonnes of attachments and variations
Double barrelled shotgun
But 3 barrels
Sniper rifle of some kind
Something with a really high magazine capacity, think Tommy Gun. Has to be fashionable
Something shit for the worst character.
Very well greased holstered revolver for quick shooting
A giant fuck-off cannon
BUT THERE IS NO CHAPTER
A huge gatling gun "When a bullet is not enough, shoot more."
The Hydra in RE5, 3 of them.
He wouldn't use a flamethrower, it's slow and ungentlemanly so a Remington auto-load shotgun (as opposed to Zoro's) with dragonbreath shells.
A sniper rifle with under barrel grenade launcher
A tazer and a FMG9
A pair of revolvers or lots of uzi since she can shoot all of them at the same time.
A carbine or a winchester.
Double rocket launchers and tons of explosive weapons like mines or bombs.
how does it feel to know that there will literally never, EVER be another piece of art of your waifu as drawn by the artist who created her? oda's literally never gonna sit down and draw monet again.
whereas picrelated is joining the crew, and she's gonna eat monet's devil fruit just to crush your soul a little more
Dumbass. Carrot is a cute and useful character.
>but still no new chapter because it's a break week
>no space between >no monet and nice
I could watch an episode if Luffy eating, I won't complain.
There is that scene where the Strawhats celebrate on Skypiea, dancing and singing with a bunch of wolves. I remember liking the song in the anime, but I can't seem to find it on youtube. Any help?
i just want the crew to be all toghether in the ship having fun
Rebecca didn't do anything for me. Oda's women are not really hot per se, their characters are hot. His same-body is not really that hot. The legs are weirldy long and the waist looks like the woman is trying to die. Rebecca's character was utter shit, so she only had her body to show for. And that was just ridiculous.
>Oda's women are not really hot per se, their characters are hot. His same-body is not really that hot. The legs are weirldy long and the waist looks like the woman is trying to die.
This. Praline is the most attractive woman in One Piece to me from recent years because she doesn't look anything like Oda's usual, and as a legfag, I don't even care that she's a mermaid. Oda really needs to switch it up more. Pre-timeskip Robin was his best work and he blew that.
I listen to Akainu's one regularly, it's sick, I'd be really glad if someone recommended songs simmiliar to it
I dont know why, but everyone seems to have discovered these very recently at once. Maybe youtube recommendations?
Anyway, my personal fav
i mean if i was that strong, cool, famous and rich i probably would be too
there's literally a grand total of like 20 people on the planet who could fuck with him, he can take it easy
yeah just imagine if he put as much thought and effort into developing and improving his use of it compared to its base level of power (already devastating) as luffy has for his gomu powers
>Sitting in a rocking chair, looking out the window
>My grandchildren sit in the floor in front of me with a weird expression
>Grandpa, what are you thinking about?
>A single tear trickles through my old wrinkled face
>I don't answer
>I can only think of one thing
>"I fucking miss best girl Kalifa"
are we still posting character songs? because croco boy's owns
Pedro will get his years taken by BM back after she gets defeated and will be the one to form the mink crew and join Luffy's fleet
Carrot will stay with Luffy and officially joins with Jinbe
Nice. Funny Oda doesn't want to show his face on camera.
the new character song suck, the old ones are much better
i didn't say beat, i said fuck with
and i'd say either akainu or aokiji could beat him, as well as sengoku, all 4 yonkous and maybe kaido and shanks's second in commands (maybe). possibly dragon, and there's likely to be another 4 or 5 retired/not yet revealed people on that level in the story, so i think it's a little more than you think. that being said, i was talking about people who could even tussle with him, like start a fight with him and not just get instantly vaporised, even if they lost in the end (marco tier) and i'd put that number at about 20-25
>In his grave.
Dammit, I laughed
She's beaten more Big Mom pirates than anyone else so far
>Pedro: 1 (Tamago)
>Bege: 2 (Pekoms, Bobbin)
>Luffy: 1 (Cracker)
>Jinbe: 1 (Opera)
>Chopper: 1 (Noble Croc)
>Carrot: Fucking 3 (Brulee, Randolph, and Diesal within moments of one another)
Amade is next
it becomes just under as good as thriller bark, an arc i would consider "very good".
so it's "good" at many points and approaches "very good" often
but it's still in the shadow of Paradise
To avoid making the list too cluttered I absorbed Vito's win into Bege's given they're both Fire Tank Pirates but the point stands either way, Carrot's got a lead as far as KO's go
>tfw you wanted to shitpost today but there is no chapter this week
i cry a lot when i read one piece, but during norlands backstory, i have to stop reading, because it hits me so hard everytime.
I just hope I can handle continuing on at a rate of one chapter a week plus a break week from here on out. Being frustrated by the serial drip contributed to my dropping it.
How strong is Hancock? Could she defeat a yonko commander?
This is actually a good time to bring up something I was thinking about
How is Luffy the first person that wasn't affected by Hancock's power? That seems like a load of shit to me, especially with characters like Akainu, Smoker, and Lucci
or am I just rememberig shit wrong?
honestly uni keep me busy enough during week days that it's really not that bad
the worst was when i was finally done with all my exams and there was a two-weeks break
that shit was a nightmare
not to mention the character assassination of sanji, where zeff being held hostage is just a writer's excuse for sanji to be able to have his normal Love Cook shenanigans for pudding, when he should be anything but happy.
head over heels for her the entire time and only having a small reservation about it every now and then about zeff... oh, and selling out his crew of the past ~800 pages for pussy.
zeff hasn't even come up in like 10 chapters now. sanji doesn't care about that, and neither does oda. it's just "muh pussy", the arc
at least with absalom everyone's intentions and motivations made perfect sense
Momonga stabbed himself and that distraced him enough to not get hurt by her, I assume someone like Lucci or Akainu would also be resistant since they are solely focused on justice. I imagine there are some people who wouldn't be affected by her in normal circumstances but given that she's mostly fighting other pirates (men who spend weeks/months accompanied only by other men and are mostly likely super horny all the time) it's not unlikely that she hasn't encoutered this problem before
>where zeff being held hostage is just a writer's excuse
Ridiculous. Everything is a "writer's excuse" then. I've read your post. You don't understand anything of the arc or the motivations of the characters. You should get your own pussy too. You aren't thinking straight anymore.
what would be more interesting is if instead of going along with the plan (like a weak character would, in terms of the narrative), sanji actually did something this arc (like a strong character would) instead of needing luffy to save him.
>tfw I honest to god thought Diesel would be a big deal
Well I still have Amande.
I was waiting for the middle guy to show up for like months before I realized it was the engine guy who lost instantly.
I really don't know why they used him and Randolph as like the "wow look at how scary Big Mom's people are" when they instantly lost in the same panel. You could have used literally any of the other characters who haven't lost yet.
There's this kid. Who's already working on a ship with no parents in sight. He's from north blue originally. You have to either be someone really strong or a marines to go past the red line. Sanji literally said he has seen a ship climb the red line... Sanji's backstory was planned from the start and has always been right in front of our eyes. But sure. Never happened.
Oh yeah, Sanji should've gotten Zeff killed. That's what a strong character should've done. Retard. He tried to save Luffy. Luffy will succeed only because of luck. Sanji did everything right.
at least randolph got some action in the seducing woods. diesel did literally nothing.
>Who's already working on a ship with no parents in sight.
zoro the dojo kid
luffy the wanderer
>He's from north blue originally.
>You have to either be someone really strong or a marines to go past the red line.
>Sanji literally said he has seen a ship climb the red line
nothing directly points toward this backstory, and could have easily (and absolutely was) devised later. sure, oda had some vague notion of "yeah, sanji will eventually have a backstory of some sort"
This is cool
They are fucked up (killing civilians for a cake). Which is scary. I don't see the problem. Her most basic henchmans being able to subjugate an entire city speak volumes on how strong her crew really is.
>Oh yeah, Sanji should've gotten Zeff killed.
oooooh nooooo those collars they encountered on Saboady 1/3 of the manga ago... what a dire threat. it's not like it was implied in Sabaody that the no-name pirate who had his triggered survived. surely, sanji can't possibly survive an explosion! he's never been hit with an explosion before!
also he doesn't even know zeff is OBJECTIVELY IN DANGER, he's just taken everyone's word for it. it's fucking weak.
>Her most basic henchmans being able to subjugate an entire city speak volumes on how strong her crew really is.
I don't really see how when the power gap between a normal dude and any pirate worth his salt is probably pretty high anywhere. We already know from shit like dressrosa that new world civvies are basically just normal people.
If anything shit like Randolph getting OHKOd shows how shit the people they bullied for ingredients were.
She's a swordswoman that doesn't have Zoro there to have an ebin sword battle and auto-lose.
Which means she'll get taken out in an extremely amusing way. I'm gonna say Smoothie jobs to Brook, Amande jobs to Chopper, and Nami finishes her fight with Gilette.
you can't refute me. if it was set up early on that sanji knew extra things about CP9 that the others didn't (like, if his knowledge even impressed robin) or about assassination methods, etc., then i'd be impressed.
the above are just trappings you can apply to any old backstory.
>also he doesn't even know zeff is OBJECTIVELY IN DANGER
One of the strongest pirate in the world, with one of the largest known organization, famous for killing the families who don't obey her, is after his dad figure... Yup. What a faggot, he should've taken the risk.
You are a moron. SANI SAID HE WAS FROM NORTH BLUE. That alone implies he had a past involving someone important. The hint on how he went past the red line is just the cherry on the cake.
so you agree that he doesn't know, and yet he's taken no measures to check. and don't say "he can't" because he fucking could... if he was written well this arc. reiju and luffy are there. luffy could've called genzo or kaya or dadan or the baratie itself, and that would've been cool to have a minor character from back then take part in the arc.
>You are a moron. SANI SAID HE WAS FROM NORTH BLUE. That alone implies he had a past involving someone important. The hint on how he went past the red line is just the cherry on the cake.
neither of those point to THIS backstory. are you retarded? how does "going past the red line" or being from north blue mean shit WHEN YOU CAN WRITE THE GERMA 66 BACKSTORY TO INCLUDE THOSE THINGS LATER (WHICH ODA DID)
it could've just as easily pointed to the celestial dragons or absolutely anything
Sure, they should've involved more of their relatives into a conflict with a YONKO. He did know that would mean death for Zeff. He sacrified himself to save his crewmates and his dad figure. He did what was right. Luffy is crazy as fuck and will get away with it. Doesn't mean Sanji should've tried the impossible and risked the life of everyone. Not everyone can be Luffy.
I thought it was spics doing it at first, but it happens too early in the day. It must be bongistani. The job spamming is rampant when it's morning for them. Everyone in the western hemisphere is asleep, still. Every bong I've ever met has liked pro wrestling and they can't seem to finish a sentence without reciting a meme, so it makes sense.
When I was a teenager, I noticed that bongs had a different habit on traditional forums and instant messaging. That habit was an utter disregard for the acceptable limit to which one can use emoticons. For most people, that limit is somewhere between zero and one times per message. For bongs, the sky's the limit. I theorize their rampant meme spamming is an evolution of this.
There is also a professional version of this disease, for when one finds themselves in a place where verbal diarrhea isn't appreciated, and that's adding, "I have to say" or "it has to be said" to every sentence. If you haven't noticed it before, I'm sorry, you will now.
Thing is. There was a backstory awaiting Sanji from the start. It involved someone important. It involved a way to go over the red line. You can't deny that. It's plenty enough foreshadowing for me. You could add Sanji's name hinting at him having siblings.
except he doesn't even know if that threat is a bluff
hell, he could've even asked big mom for confirmation
>"i get it and all, but put me on a den den mushi to zeff so i can make sure."
it would be in her interest to comply if she really did have him hostage. not that that would even confirm it for sure, so then he would want to ask luffy. but that's another step he didn't even bother to take
>Thing is. There was a backstory awaiting Sanji from the start. It involved someone important. It involved a way to go over the red line. You can't deny that. It's plenty enough foreshadowing for me. You could add Sanji's name hinting at him having siblings.
yes, i agree, but i would be more impressed if he had any connection whatsoever with CP9 when we already had an arc about assassins. the fact that there isn't when that's a fantastic time to drop a hint tell me Oda didn't have specifics
I don't understand your point because 1/ We know it's not a bluff 2/ Sanji know how powerfull Big Mom is and has been told she was famous for murdering the families of who don't obey her. He even had Bege's marriage indicating Big Mom wouldn't murder him. Which would've given him more time to find another solution. He did choose the best option available in regards to the informations he had.
I don't remember this.
>a way to go over the red line
While it's certainly an undeniable fact he had to cross the Red Line somehow, it being part of an important backstory is not a necessity. There are lots of small facts that you could leave out of somebody's story, leading someone to question what happened, only to reveal it was something mundane and undramatic. Even if it's interesting, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a big deal or relevant to a future plot. Luffy's cheek scar is a good example. It was never explained in-story and it has a simple, but cool, story to it. People who don't read outside the anime/manga could come up with all sorts of crazy ideas on why it "hasn't been explained yet" and how it'll feature into a future plot. They'd be wrong.
>Sanji's name hinting at him having siblings
That's fair, but his name wasn't originally supposed to be Sanji.
I love Oda. Show me the line, I'll go suck his dick; but he isn't the foreshadowing avatar of planned stories that his fans make him out to be. You can see examples of him coming up with cool shit all the time and tying it into stuff he drew/wrote years ago, but there being no actually good evidence that it was intended to be that way, he just wrote the new story to fit the pre-existing material.
>We know it's not a bluff
have we seen zeff on-screen to confirm this?
>Sanji know how powerfull Big Mom is and has been told she was famous for murdering the families of who don't obey her.
looks to me like she's got all of her heavy-hitters in the New World for the wedding. are we sure she didn't conscript a fairly strong 3rd party to do this deed? and then the baratie pirates kicked their ass and then had those pirates call back that they'd accomplished it?
nah, we don't.
Well, she is pretty strong.
By important i mean it had to involve someone with power. Crossing the Red Line is no small feat. Why would he choose North Blue if it was not supposed to be important later? You don't hint at someone having been in contact with really important characters if it's not supposed to be relevant later in the story. I'm really surprised Sanji's possible additional backstory and the mistery on how he crossed the red line weren't more talked about in the community.
Luffy is supposed to be somewhat asexual since he's only interested in his goal and the romance of being a pirate. There are probably other people who wouldn't be affected by Hancock (i.e. the okama, possibly Akainu, and some other top pirates/marines).
Anon, all sorts of shit happens in life. One Piece is a world full of people. Are you trying to tell me the only people who are ever able to cross the Red Line have to be super powerful? Civilians can't like, ask the World Government or Marines for help? I'll remind you that while they are antagonists to the Straw Hats, and as such we perceive them that way, the vast majority of the One Piece world considers them the good guys. Cricket isn't powerful and he made it from North Blue halfway through Paradise, to his desired location, on a difficult to navigate sea. Robin was a lone little girl with nothing but the clothes on her back and a bounty on her head, and she's seemingly traveled all over the world. No one in-universe questioned Sanji's comment. Don't you think there's a reason for it?
Look at Luffy's backstory. Remember everything with Shanks? Remove the part where he ate the Devil Fruit. Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone who knows Luffy's backstory but never saw anything about him obtaining the Gomu Gomu no Mi.
What sort of crazy shit would you imagine? Devil Fruits are super hard to come by and cost a fortune. How'd this little hobo get one? Did Garp give it to him? But Garp doesn't have one himself. Did he steal it from a pirate? Maybe his father fed it to him when he was a baby and it holds some sort of significance. Shanks couldn't have given it to him: he doesn't seem to hold much value in Devil Fruits, so it's hard to believe he'd just have one sitting around, and he already gave the kid an arm and a hat, but a one hundred million belli Devil Fruit? No fucking way.
I doubt he just accidentally ate it 'cause Shanks had one to sell and was just letting it sit out in the open, 'cause that'd be stupid. No. Something this monumental must have an epic tale behind it!
So why aren't any of the supernovas excessively big like 3 out of 4 of the Yonkos and some of the shichibukai? Urouge's the tallest IIRC and he's still only 12 feet. That's like 10 feet shorter than Kuma.
I still wonder if Sanji's attitude toward hitting women was originally going to come from Zeff. Oda didn't answer it directly when asked in SBS, we see one of Zeff's crew mates behaving pretty brutally when dealing with a lady which doesn't trigger Zeff (eating someone else's food does though), and revealing it so late makes no sense whatsoever.
>Viola is a slender, well-endowed, dark olive-skinned, and tall woman (slightly shorter than Sanji when wearing high heels)
>Sanji is 180 cm (5'11")
>Doflamingo fucked Viola
How sore she must have been, lol.
>Are you trying to tell me the only people who are ever able to cross the Red Line have to be super powerful?
Yes. You have to be a king, a marines, a friend of the WG, be really strong etc. Or simply put, having beneficied from really unusual events. Claiming Sanji is from North Blue is setting up something . Crossing the Red Line is never random. There must be a story behind that.
>No one in-universe questioned Sanji's comment. Don't you think there's a reason for it?
Yes. Oda din't want his readers to see it coming. As simple as that. It would've been too obvious, it would have been one of the hottest topic of discussion in the community for years. He would've been forced to adress this plot point sooner.
I don't understrand your anology with Luffy eating a DF. Anyone could've. It's nothing special, they literally grow on trees.
>ywn make Shyarly intentionally angry to see her cute shark teeth
Of course Kuma wouldn't pay her mind, he is a man of god after all
What is the point of Carrot anyway? You could remover her from this arc and nothing would change aside from some fight choreography.
>her tits are literally bigger than the average human head
>Sharley will never smother you with them
I bet they're really soft too
>Hancock: Mero Mero Beeeeam!!!
>Kuma: Boa Hancock, Pirate Empress...if you were to go on vacation, where would you like to go?
>Sends her ass to Marijoa
Was this ever actually stated somewhere or are you biased because we only ever hear about important/powerful people? If it was truly a great feat, someone would've said something when Sanji said he grew up in North Blue. Nobody did.
It's the same thing with Whitebeard and Shanks's conversation about how many people are still around from Roger's era. They didn't mention Shiki. Oda later excused it as him not wanting to mention him yet. But they didn't mention Big Mom, either. Don't you realize Oda is making this shit up as he goes? How can you function without questioning anything?
Is she copying them because she desperately wants Luffy to recruit her?
That's the biggest reason people think she's joining: she doesn't serve a purpose, in an arc that was ostensibly a stealth mission and already bloated with characters.
Oda named her after Luffy's biggest inspiration. She's all but confirmed.
Is there a book or article out on what it's like to work with Oda,
