Stuff like snk, klk, chuunibyou, deathnote are never going to be right in my head with dubs but when you don't have an idea in your head already of how it is supposed to sound you wont even notice. When Mikasa wails and cries in the original after she finds Eren again I lose my shit but the dub doesn't have the right timing. However when the whole class cries after Korosensei dies in the dub (which i watched first) the original just feels slightly off. ( i think i get off on good VAs that can do crying right.)

Also, if this were some ZnT or Inuyasha you could believe in another season, basically because you can skip 2/3 of the material released between that are just recycled arcs over recycled arcs. S&W however progresses a lot in char development and world building during vols. 7~16 which makes a anime adaptation of 24 episodes impossible to cover all of it.

I found the fan translation really well done, but as usual a bit of it came across as very literal. I found myself getting lost in the conversation on occasion, usually because of a lack of clarity. Like when Holo is explaining a situation but it sometimes only makes it even more convoluted before. Not sure if I'm just retarded or if that was on them.

It was mostly because of this that I hope I get something out of rereading it with a different translator team.
