There are series you read that are engaging in one chapter. There are series that come from authors whose works you already liked or have writing styles you can get behind.

Parallel Paradise is none of those. The previous work was a similar "blue ball the audience for 5 chapters" to "Nonstop sex to the point that there is no plot" vibe this feels like it is going for. And the author is really bad at keeping the plot consistent as seen in his other works.

Now that he has a new series it's better assume it will be like his other stuff and remain mediocre rather than expect him to suddenly have gotten better when he's already tripping over flags left and right.
