No way, if anything this is an upgraded fairy tail. The MC is cliche as fuck but the premise of buff knight among a world of mages is interesting enough, The mixed some Fairy tail and Index in there to make this fuck. Juno and Aster are pretty enjoyable rivals actually because there is rarely any edge and from the get go they've always just been homies trying to one up each other.

Lucy in FT essentially just became a walking stripper, and every single female character in FT degraded into that at some point. So far Black clover is keeping that back, though there's been some of it here and there.


As someone who was fucking dumb enough to be caught up on both, this is WAY better than fairy tail in almost every way, but it's by no means anything more than alright as a whole.

Don't get me wrong fights in Bleach were bullshit but Ichigo's bullshit was thoroughly explained from the start. He was always the super special snowflake with enormous reiatsu and a super powerful hollow inside him.
