And thats when I stopped watching or caring about Jojos Bizarre Adventure. Its just too much of a cliched and bad thing to happen in such a series.

So everyone agrees Parts 1 and 2 are the best of Jojo right? Star Crusade is ok, but goes on too long and has an even bigger Mary Sue than Dio, in the form of Jotaro.

Does Hamon ever come back into the series, or does it get thrown away to make space for other shit?

You are missing the point entirely. This sort of subplot, and the execution to it is horrible and only confirms my feelings on the series.

Part 1 and 2 are not the greatest thing in the world, but they did something any long lasting series needs and that is introducing interesting ideas and world building.

And its followed up by pretty mediocre and mundane parts. Part 2 was a good improvement to Part 1. Part 3 was not much of an improvement and Part 4 is borderline terrible at this point.

The little substance the series had at the start has been thrown out, and its style is no longer interesting.

Part 4 has a slow start, but it starts to pick up later on, and there is a large focus on characters and setting in this part, as it is more laid back and less fight-driven than the other parts (there still is fighting). It also has what many people consider to be one of the better JoJo villains. I hope you give it another chance.

Part 3 did add anything that made me like it more, and part 4 only made me dislike what it is adding.

Its clear that the entire series had no real direction and things got added to it as parts finished and new stories were created, the existence of Hamon and it playing no part in Dios defeat in part 3 just goes to show how amateurish the writing is.

Gyro's goal was never just for this one specific child, it was much more general than that. He wanted to prove to his father that he didn't have to be a cold, obedient asshole to have value, and that his emotional responses and judgement to stuff mattered. And he did so successfully, too. His legacy was doing the best he could, winning the hearts of America and making Johnny into a hero.

Marco was just an excuse. There's a reason he has infinitely less personality and relevance than other characters the heroes fight to save (Like Holly, Trish, Jotaro and Holly again) and that's because he never really mattered, it wasn't about him.

I'm not talking about the Part, I'm referring to Gyro who for a good chunk of the manga had the main goal of winning the race.
Gyro still did give a shit about winning, but it became second to the whole corpse deal.
When he died he saw that growing as a person was the only thing that mattered to him and that he did his absolute best to fulfill what he was trying to do and that's why he tells Johnny it's okay the way it is.

For the first few volumes SBR really was all about the race itself. The president and the corpse were only introduced in Pork Pie Hat Kid's arc which was right after it switched magazines. It was very sudden too, it's really noticeable on a re-read. Makes me wonder how different things would have been if SBR had stayed in WSJ.

You can't cry about Araki retconning stuff but say he only retconned it to be the way YOU wanted. Part 6 is actual dog shit and I'm going to tell you why.

The art is garbage. Female anatomy is all over the place. Jolyne's hips and limbs are constantly the worst thing I've seen with my two eyes.
Jolyne is a terrible Jojo. Her entire character is based on daddy issues. And that's it. First it was I hate my father and then drastically into I have to do this for my father despite my feeligns 10 minutes ago.
Her supporting cast is not good. Not one of them. The only decent character is Weather Report and he's a memoryless sister banging faggot.

My biggest problem with six is that it's gross. And not body horror gross it's because they made everything unnecessarily sexual because Jolyne is a girl. The first chapter is Jolyne masturbating. And the next couple is her rolling around naked. None of the boys have ever been written like that. None of the boys talk about masturbating. None of the boys are ever really seen outside their uniforms. Just Jolyne. Just the girls are like this and it's disgusting and gross. And it's only done because most of the cast is female. Jolyne in crisis talking about how she's jealous about how snails can fuck anything. Hermes actually saying "dries up like a maxi pad," are you fucking kidding me?

I'm glad you all love part six because the tits make your dick hard but to defend this shit is ridiculous. It's the weakest most poorly written part by far and reading it was agony.

The only thing that saved this part, if you could call it saved, is Pucci. Pucci is good and I'm glad he reset the universe so none of this god awful part ever technically happened.

So I'm guessing you skipped the first chapter of part 4? Crazy Diamond's arm had no aura when Josuke summoned it. Sandman summoned his stand as you can clearly see specks of sand under it like the original ability was intended to do. DIO is my favorite jojo, I didn't like him in part 1 because he hot boxed the puppers. But in part 3 I realised that he's not supposed to be a villian you like or supposed to sympathize with which you're so used to seeing now. Which ironically made me like him alot more.

So why did the Part 4 anime look so budget compared to Parts 1-3? Obviously it was more animated than those, but not enough where the visual hit seemed justified. Was it because they had to do 39 episodes in 1 season and only got a season's worth of a budget, lack of relative popularity, time constraints, or what?
