>Japanese animators get payed like shit while American animators get payed actually decently well
Why don't we see more Japanese animators jumping ship to places like America where they can actually make a decent living?

because america is 95% CG now, the other 5% being flash cartoons
>American animators
Those don't exist, or, to be more precise, the kind of animator that exists in Japan, does not exist in America.
And so the Americans do not pay them better than the Japanese do. When they have a 2D animation job, they hand it over to Korea.
But mostly, America deals with 3D garbage.

>CG and Flash cartoons
You say that as if that isn't a plus to an animator because it means they only have to work half as hard for 5 times the pay.
Why would any programmer do professional game development when they could be paid many times as much and treated better in any other industry? Because they choose to.

>American animators
Don't exist. It's mainly elsewhere, likely Korea
However, they do have substantially more time to work and a larger budget, which can help storyboarding and direction.

I would think japanese animators do it out of passion. They'd want to kill themselves even more if they had to do what america shits out.

>Actually having free time and money would cause them to kill themselves
Just work for netflix and make Voltron or something then.

Mostly because they are stupid. Most "gamers" are beta faggots who don't know any better and get bullied by corporations and don't see it as wrong. All it would take would be game devs demanding higher standards but they don't because they are ignorant.
because leaving japan is shamefur dispray
Range is much more limited, language barrier, they also outsource a ton to Korea.
Because they think that being treated like shit by corporations is for the betterment of society over in Japan.
