When did you grow out of anime and start reading manga?

Three years ago at the age of 18.

Ok seriously why does this manga pop up so often. I never see it have its own thread, I just see pictures of Ebino constantly show up randomly. Is it one guy? Or do all the manga readers on /a/ just love this manga? I picked it up cause I saw it so often, felt like I was being shilled.

I discovered both at the same time, but i gradually came to find manga more reliable at story and character exploration. It was only a few anime that truly outshone the manga that kept me watching anime generally.
Yuru yuri for example. I hope to find another that hits that sweet spot as it did.

After dying in an elven prison and being reincarnated as a Virgin NEET I decided to spend my time watching anime and becoming an Otaku instead of committing mass rape on your elven equivalent race/species in your world.
Once I discovered manga and hentai I can spend my days reliving my past life without fear of incarceration

They're less consistent imo, for every masterpiece, there's a hundred shitty mangas.

They're superior to anime in terms of storytelling, characters and sometimes even have better art direction, you just need to find them.

It has some interesting pages and panels for OPT.

Personally, I found the MC rather lackluster. the reverse-trap kinda annoying and will ultimately feel bad for Ebino in the end. Still the art is nice and the story has decent pacing and I don't think Ibusuki getting revealed will be happening anytime soon.

I did grow out of watching anime however. Nothing really interest me anymore.

Always read manga but anime got really annoying when
A) The series I liked got a shitty adaption
B) An original series I wanted to watch sucked
C) I realized wasting 30 minutes to watch filler was fucking stupid
