Makes me wonder how much we'll really see of the Andromeda-class. They did set it up as the flagship for the combine Earth-Gamilias fleet so I hope we get to see how the war progress too.

Question: is 2202 going to be finished any time soon? Apparently it takes an entire year per BD (2 episodes), but 2199 was released almost all at once. At this rate I could literally be dead by the time star blazers 3 is finished being adapted. I'm holding off on even touching 2202 until most of it is finished or at least a consistent and reasonable release schedule is established.

And before you ask, yes I know it takes a long time to make a show with this fucking record-breaking quality level.

The first release of 2199 was on the 25th of May 2012, last episode was release on 25th of October 2013. It should follows around the same release pattern.

2202 will be releasing 4 episodes per chapter starting with chapter 2 with a total of 7 chapters and 26 episodes. IIRC there'll be a 3-4 month gap between each chapter. So this means 2202 should be done within a year or two. Afterwards there'll be a TV release. Before you complain 2199 followed the exact same release format, though it suffered delays towards the end.

If you want legitimate criticisms, I thought that Kodai and Yuki looked slightly off model in the car scene and that Kodai's current motivations for wanting to go out and save a random person across the universe seems pretty flimsy right now, but that could change as the plot develops.
