> Magic.
> The calling of power from the Plane of Existance, the center place of all creation.
> To call upon the attributes of creation: light, fire, water, earth, air and darkness.
> To bring forth power from the plane, one must recite a prayer while possessing a Grimoire, a book that acts as communicator to ask for power from Plane.
> To prevent the most powerful of spells from being conjured from the Plane, translation and copies of such high level Grimoire was restricted from the rest of the world.
> Alchemy.
> Apart from magic, which is the act of praying for creation, Alchemy is the act of creation itself using pre-existance.
> Using pre-existing materials, one can use the act of alchemy to create a material of higher value or deconstruct material into their base materials.
> It is said to also have the ability to go beyond physical pre-existance, but it has not yet been found.
> One should best understand the structure and composition of a material in order to alchemize, otherwise, there will be a failure or backlash.
> However, the act of alchemy is considered a blasphemy against the Plane of Existance.
> Such taboo against the Plane for imitating creation will excommunicate those who attempt the art of alchemy.
> Therefore, in exchange for losing the ability to "pray", alchemists essentially lose the ability to use magic.
> Moreover, those who knowingly accept help or assist those who have been forsaken shall be forsaken by the Plane as well.
> People feared such a thing as an act of heresy and the art of alchemy became an esoteric field as well as a social taboo.
> One relies on faith in creation, and one relies on knowledge in creation.
> Our protagonist is a young alchemist that goes on a journey to search the reason for his master's estrangement and defection by going into an enemy country and fighting in a war.
> What will he find beyond the truth of alchemy from the man who taught him and as many people's faith gets tested on the battlefield?

Female Protagonist With a Mysterious Weapon.
>>
A few years back I've created a story where a bunch of teenagers that lived in a almost perfect society discovered a underground world where all kinds of people lived.
The story itself is big, so i'm going to say some of the key points.

First of all, the story is about how good people can turn into bad people because of curiosity. The main characters start using drugs and teasing the government and eventually most of they die, making the protagonist change on the middle of the story.

This new protagonist wears a magnetic boot so he can equilibrate himself in his hoverboard. He eventually takes control of the mob but he is too incompetent to run the business.
Because of drug abuse, he starts to get violent and he starts raping his girlfrinend. She eventually gets pregnant, but flees so she can raise her baby in safety. He discovers her location and kills her on the most violent way possible. He cruccifies her, take her eye out with a glass shard, mutilates her, open her belly and rape the 6-month fetus.
The story ends when the police kills him.

Ah, it is also a Sci-Fi story. There is this battle where they need to take out a guy who wears a suit used in time-travel tests and he can walk in time for a moment in the same way somebody walk in space. They kill him by causing a rupture in his suit. The time radiation completely distroys his body.

A car is hit by a truck. Unable to confess, it is grafted to the shoulder of the next demon king as a secondary head. Shocked by this case of mistaken identity, the daughter swears revenge, dedicating the rest of her life to the perfection of mayonnaise. MC returns home moments too late to survive being struck by lightning. But the townsfolk have other plans, and it's only a matter of time before he's forced to reveal the truth. When the witch finds the fish in the key, the two of them have no choice but to question what side of the road they should drive on.

I really like that dichotomy between faith and knowledge of creation, and you can frame some interesting scenarios from that core. You could've pulled a reader much earlier if you began with the protag's mission, THEN branching out into the Magic/Alchemy divide.

Starts as a generic slice of life show with generic cute girl characters.
However, one of the girls is experiencing some hardcore episode of deja vu, has weird dreams, feels like something is wrong, like the entire world changed or that she doesn't belongs there.

She then finally realizes and remembers that she has been doing the same things over and over again, and after a period of time (the usual time span of a one cour adaptation) the world simply ceases to exist. However, it immediately begins again, and everything happens exactly as it did before, except that their identities and the look of their world changes, and no one remembers the previous cycles.

The entire cast undergoes an existential crisis, as they come face to face with the meaninglessness of their lives and relationships, and some try desperately to find a way to stop it, or just find out what is going on. They fail.

During the final episode, right before the final credits, the girls bitterly accept their fate, and they hold hands as they look at their last sunset together.

The after credits scene is a fake teaser for a new slice of life: the cycle begins anew.

I thought of this while I was waking up a few weeks ago, just lounging around in bed, felt pretty miserable that day
> template high school
> female loser MC has no friends except for childhood friend (male) that she plays MTG with after school
> childhood friend is a chad, their parents are very close, chad and his little brother always played with MC and her little sister
> girls are always hitting on him, he always says lolno
> MC's mother suicides, note says she has been battling with depression
> MC thinks it's all her fault
> chad comforts her, offers her support (but not his dick)
> MC spiraling into depression
> prescribed antidepressants, the pharmacist offers her a "way out" instead
> gives her two pills, tells her to take both, and in 24 hours the pain will be gone
> MC thinks about it, takes one pill
for reasons, I'm still working this part out
> writes her note, blah blah "not good enough, worthless, chad doesn't like like me"
> she's got a little sister btw, wills all her posessions to sis.
> has a ball doing whatever she wants for a day, trying the food she always wanted to try, buying a nice dress, etc.
> skips school, but still meets with chad to play MTG after class
> takes him to school roof, 24 hours is almost up
> confesses, she fully expects him to lolno it would be weird we've known each other for too long
> chad is overjoyed, said he's been working up the courage to do it himself
> OHFUCK.jpg

> they're not home, chad goes to her room, finds the pill and puts two and two together
> reads the note
> Icouldhavepreventedthis
> since chad is MC now, we can finally see behind the facade he kept up at school
> Turns out Chad is also a fragile fuck, and he's pretty sure he'll never have feelings for anyone else
> After a few days of lounging around, not eating or sleeping, he attends former MC's funeral and burial
> few more agonizing days go by, he's losing weight quickly, his little brother can't take it any more
> gets him a prescription for antidepressants
> goes to pharmacy
> pharmacist offers him a "way out", gives him two pills
> MC recognizes the pills, asks what happens if you only take one
> pharmacist says why don't you find out
> MC takes the two pills and goes home
> takes the pill he found in former MC's room instead, leaves the other two pills on his desk

Karl Marx (in this universe a gray haired NEET Loli) after a drunken night out in victorian London awakes to find herself in the exotic scenary of First Century Palestine, everyone around her is Calling her Jesus of Nazareth, and her mother is pestering her to become a priest. At first, Marx scoffs at such religious Nonsense, but then realizes she can use her new identity to reshape world history by turning the soon to be largest religion in the world into a force for revolutionary communism. Hillarity ensue as Marx spouts anachronistic communist axioms like "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" and "The Meek shall Inherit the earth" and "sell your possessions and give to the poor". Lots of hijinks like Marx going through tobacco withdrawal tries opium, and in a soporific haze starts flipping tables at the temple, Yuri scenes with Mary Magdalene, an episode about redistributing fish and loaves. Eventually her firery rhetoric and future knowledge enabled "miracles" attracts a great number of followers, to the dismay of a Shekel loving Rabbi and a hooknosed prefect (also lolis) who conspire to stop him.

Part 3
> wakes up on a city block suspended in the air, no ground in sight
> there's a girl nearby, asks her where he is
> "this is some kind of purgatory, everybody here committed suicide"
> "we realized that we were living in hell, and we killed ourselves to escape it"
> meets a few other people, some of them are at peace, helping the others through whatever tragedies they had escaped from
> *couple episodes of feels stories and character development*
> they show him a statue in a corner of the block, it's not much to look at, just a little pyramid
> "if you touch that, you are reborn into a world that isn't hell"
> Chad MC doesn't buy the whole "real world is hell" thing, but believes in the statue after he sees a guy touch it and vanish
> the idea of eternal reincarnation is comforting to him
> after a few episodes of comforting other suicide victims, he's at peace and ready to move on
> touches the statue
> nothing happens
> pharmacist turns up, says that wont work
> y
> Because you're not dead, you only took one pill
> points to the edge of the city block
> "that's your only way out, it leads to the real world"
> MC sees that he's arrived at a dead end
> realizes how much he misses his family, decides to jump
> heartfelt goodbyes to his fellow suicides, gets a kiss from the girl he initially bumped into
> jumps
> girl says "please let that not be hell"
>>
>>157218697
Part 4
> Chad MC wakes up in bed, back in the real world
> wait, it's not a bed
> sits up
> hears gasps, followed by screams
> turns his head, sees his parents staring at him in horror
> they're surrounded by the students at his school, and many other townies
> they're all wearing suits
> black tie
> chad looks down
> there's his little brother, sleeping in the coffin next to his
> chad breaks down
> embraced by his parents they've just been reprieved from having both of their children die
> parents take him home
> chad goes to his room, both of the pills he had left out were missing
> puts two and two together
> itsallmyfaultagain
> spends a few days mourning his little brother, spends a lot of time with former MC's sister
> on the third day, he's hit by lightning (the whole audience probably saw this coming)
> the dumbfuck realizes that former MC only took one pill, and was ALIVE at the time of her burial
> grabs shovel, goes to the graveyard, digs up the coffin
> opens the lid
> her eyes are open!
> her mouth is open in a silent scream
> her hands are at her throat
> cause of death: suffocation
> All of the pain Chad had relinquished in the realm of the suicides comes right back
> itsallmyfaultagainagain
> welp, life has been great but I can't live with myself. Time to an hero
> walking back to his house to write a note when he hears crying from former MC's house
> walks into former MC's little sister's room, sees two pills on her desk
> thecycleendshere
> angrily swats them away, comforts little sister and decides to live through the pain, for her sake and everybody who mourned his passing

The story's not perfect yet, chad MC really shouldn't have forgotten former MC in purgatory. Where go from here? Two pills = two trips to purgatory. Who is the pharmacist, and why is he angel of death-ing children?

Alternative setting:

Starts as a generic slice of life show with generic cute girl characters.
However, the technology, names and fashion are pretty odd. It looks like it took place sometime in the past somewhere in Europe, but the show doesn't elaborates on that.

And then, right at the middle of the 3rd episode it is suddenly revealed that BAM! It was Poland, 1939!

The entire tone of the show has a violent and sudden shift. Many main characters die, others are never heard or seen again, and the lives of every single character are destroyed by war.

Group of college students get isekai'd (alien abducted) to a pretty normal (no magic and shit) world (planet). The aliens that pose as the gods of this pre-industrial world ('medieval' doesn't really apply to a world that evolved with a different history) inject the group with nanomachines that stop aging and most disease and set them up in leadership positions all around the world. All as a part of a social experiment of having more advanced humans lead less advanced ones. Spans 500 years or so as the MC conquers the world, curbstomping his former friends.
I tried to make the post as simple as possible because this damn thing has been growing in my mind for months and there's autistic levels of worldbuilding that'd be impossible to convey in a post.

Do Japs hate metashit? For example, in one of my projects, the MC and his group form a school club for the sole purpose of having a way to hang out and become more popular within the school system, but he and his friend really don't give a shit about anything but movies. There's already a film club, so they call their's the "Cinema Club" and narrowly get away with it. They never really do club like things and just use the time to scheme away at get rich quick plans and how to establish influence in the school.

I can see Japs getting mad that they aren't ACTUALLY doing club shit.

Aliens posing as gods has had some influence in history and tradition of the world, so worldbuilding stuff.
Voices and light from the sky announce the arrival of god's kings and queens is something the MC and others abuse to gather pious people for their armies. MC plays the 'messenger of god' card often.
It's actually an AI and a satellite doing the isekaiing, anything about the aliens remains a mystery, but it is hinted that this might not be the only world this is happening on.
They do come into play when the world reaches the modern era though, but I've only thought the actual story up to the industrial age.

Wrote this a while ago for a game I was working on. Wanted to start updating it though since it sounds like shit. Main thing I wanted to do was not have the main characters knowing each other before they became a team.

Name is Earth Squadron Poseman

15 years ago, six children from all across Earth were abducted by the Volgol Empire and sent to the war planet Gala. For five years, each of them were put through their own personal rigorous training in order to serve Volgol as a soldier in the future, developing their own superhuman abilities. Five of them were saved by a benevolent alien named DireWhite, who took them into Earth and raised them an orphanage of his owned by his public identity, Dr. Hayase. All but one were eventually adopted were eventually adopted, with the remaining one becoming Dr. Hayase’s legal daughter under the name Hana Hayase.
Since then, all of them have led different yet interesting lives due to their abilities, with them forgetting about Volgol through a mine wipe by DireWhite. However, threats on their lives and a distress call from Dr. Hayase has led to all of them reuniting once again. Dying from a full scale attack from Volgol, he tells them of their past and the threat of the Volgol Empire.
Before dying, he gives each of them a fifth of his power to protect Earth. They are now DireGai V, dedicated to defeating the threat of the Volgol Empire once and for all.

He teams up with a recent college dropout who is wandering through life without a goal or purpose. They bro it up and set out on a world spanning "roadtrip" that takes them to various real-world locations. Fantasy MC reacts to all of the amazing things in our world in the same way that we would react to a world with magic and dragons. Normal MC slowly gains an appreciation for what the world has to offer. The main point is to show how fantastic this world is by showing it through the eyes of a stranger.

Alternatively, a stock feminist, almost tumblr level, is reincarnated as Conan the Barbarian. I'm not sure what would happen, except that she gets cucked a lot.

Title: Ze Hat. I've posted this enough that most anons know what it is just from the title but just in case there's some new lurkers present.

A series based/inspired heavily by old Jackie Chan films and other Hong Kong action flicks.
MC's name is Jun Ree (named after martial artist Jhoon Goo Rhee) which does sound a little bit like a girls name in retrospect which could be a small running joke
in the series. As for martial arts he's quiet capable, but the thing is he looks and somewhat acts like a good damn idiot while fighting (hence the Jackie Chan part)
so everyone initially underestimates him. Other than that the only other thing set in stone about him is that he wears a blue baseball type hat which is how we get the tittle of the series (if it sounds like a stupid reason, that's the point).

The main story centers around Jun Ree doing odd jobs around the city/slums of Not Hong Kong each bring its own 2-3 episode/chapter mini arc, some are original and some are heavily borrowing the plot from old Hong Kong movies with the connection between them is the hat wearing sorry excuse for a main character is involved in some way be it major or minor whether it be because of a job in order to make a quick buck, roped in against his will, or just plain bad luck.

The introductory arc borrows a little from the first Police Story movie in where Jun is hired (threatened) by a old friend in the police (who's name would either by Chan Ka-Kui or Kevin Chan) to look after the soon to be main heroine who plans to testify in court about about a crime lords illegal activities on a hunch that there are moles in the force that are seeking to undermine the take down a said crime lord.

I might finally stop posting this for a good while, it feels like /a/ has commented all that there is to say about it. Might finally make an attempt to make this sort of real by practicing drawing again, or just pestering my sibling who knows how to draw to help make a few illustration

>>157215116
A lot of gamey worldbuilding without much to show for it. Who's this MC, and why should we care about him? Why should we care what lies "beyond the truth of alchemy" when alchemy is just a set of arbitrary rules you invented yourself?

>>157215636
I hate using this word, but this really does sound excessively edgy. There's also a lack of basic coherence. Things come and go in your description and none of it seems to add up to any greater picture.

>>157216598
Here's the common problem of a premise without a story.

>>157217295
If you can have an opinion, you can offer criticism.

>>157218597
Vaguely interesting, but only on account of the twist. To make it an actually strong story, you'll need to focus on the characters' reaction to their situation.

>>157218729
This is very convoluted. I'd honestly be happy to hear you give this again in a non-greentext format, but right now it just sounds like meandering misery porn.

>>157221947
Give us more of the characters; the worldbuilding is almost never useful to hear at this stage.
>>
>>157225592
There are already Japanese works premised on the idea of a fake club that doesn't actually do any club shit. This isn't anything new.

>>157226292
Sounds fair for a game; sounds a bit too basic for a strictly story-driven medium.

>>157227457
Sounds sweet and adventurous, though lacking in story depth. It'd make a fun comedy.

>>157228366
Give it a shot with the drawing! If it's a story you want to tell, it's worth the effort.

It was the start of the second year of Astrid’s adventurous life at her prestigious not-Hogwarts high school, when a messenger pigeon came with a letter from her parents: for various reasons, their perpetually sketchy finances had finally collapsed, leaving them with no home and no tuition money, meaning Astrid would be going to live with her estranged sister Estelle, whom no one in the family had spoken with since Estelle dropped out of not-Hogwarts three years ago.

Already dejected from losing her place in the magical world, Astrid makes her way to the rural town where Estelle lives. She finds her eking out a living as an undercover alchemist, dwelling in an RV with her three-year-old son. The moment the sisters lay eyes on each other, old wounds quickly reopen between them, each still bitter after three years of mutual silence.

To add to Astrid’s misery, the dingy American high school she must now attend is a far cry from the splendor of not-Hogwarts, with barely any other students, and certainly no normal ones. The friendliest of the lot of is Becky, a bored conspiracy addict who immediately latches on to the notion that Astrid and Estelle are secretly drug dealers, just like in her thrilling TV dramas. Astrid finds herself forced to play along with Becky’s delusions, lest she stumble upon the real secret instead.

This is the story of Astrid’s struggle to find a new place for herself after having the magic literally stripped from her life. It’s about how she and Estelle slowly repair their relationship, and also perhaps about hunting the sasquatch in the woods with Becky. Everyone is looking for something exciting, a little magic to make life bearable. Will any of them find it?

Story about a boyfriend and a girlfriend. The guy dies. She's devastated, and the story follows both of them at the same time. It follows him watching her grow older every day. While he stays the same. And he tries desperately to let her know she's fine, but he can't. In fact he can barely comunicate or interact with her. So in times when like she tries to idk commit suicide he has to stop her. And I imagine a scene with him trying to hold her arm down so she doesn't lift the razor, sweating, crying, screaming for her to stop, but failing miserably, and in the end, when she's on her death bed. He is allowed to visit her, and be the one who guides her to the next life or whatever. But I imagine the scene of her, on her bed, with the camera horizontally, with her eyes closed. And he, but as his young self, slowly moves towards her to kiss her on the lips, and the closer he comes, the more he starts fading and vanishing. And when he kissess her, he puts his ear on her chest, and hears her heart stop beating. So the spirit of her young self gets up from the body of her old self. They hug. And walk towards some light or something.
There can be some poetic lines in the middle of the journey like him telling God something like "When she comes back, I want you to ask for her forgiveness"

>Give us more of the characters; the worldbuilding is almost never useful to hear at this stage.
It actually follows 3 characters untill they meet:
The MC gets the most 'civilised' kingdom, 'the empire crumbled but the original kingdom is still doing okay' sort of country and he's just by himself. He's a relative normie who's also a bit of history nut and can't get over his ex. After his initial attempts to play political games backfire on him because he underestimates everyone's inteligence, he wises up and goes through various phases, from paranoid careful to confidently taking risks.
The other one is a queit girl who ended up with another 3 in a more feudal kingdom. Two of the group are useless, but the other girl of the group is extremely beatiful and eloquent and is the one the 'god' advertised to be the queen. As the quiet girl becomes proficient in army logistics and starts despising the others for not actually doing anything, she slowly realises even she has no power and they're all just pawns in the noble's power games because of the influence of a 'godsend queen' to make thousands of peasants take up arms.
The third is a girl that arrives alone as a noble ruler of a remote area of a northern kingdom.Less politics, more 'medieval SOL', as she tries to get used to the shit and piss filled shithole she's in. Hijinks where she learns what a chamber pot is the hard way, etc. She becomes relevant later.

maybe 20 years in advance. the premise is that the original 7 continents have been polluted and exhausted of natural resources. they are now madmax wastelands full of bandits and people fighting over natural resources. there are very few places that still have some semblance of order. One of them is the free city states of Kameha , (i haven't decided were its located in the modern world, i was thinking hawaii.)

Anyway one day a cute girl comes in a giant boat, and tells them that there's more continents, and that they have been kept secret from the population and instead split by the worlds 13 most powerful families (which she happens to be the daughter of one)

anyway, they go out and fight these families and shit.

Viking city in a northern country of medieval style world. MC is a young villager, friends with BRO and Love Interest (chieftan's daughter)
BRO is eventually raised to become a raider, viking city cheers
Loveint is selected to be a valkyrie, everyone is excited for her
MC is trained as a hunter, sad he won't get to die in glorious battle

Cut to each of them training in respective fields, a couple years pass. Loveint slowly gets more and more distant, obviously sad. Visits MC before the day of her 'graduation' to recall old tims

Cut to Loveint being sacrificed on an altar to the Valkyries, MC is horrified. Next night kills the chieftan for allowing his daughter to be sacrificed, then an elderly shaman woman for killing her.

MC is caught, banished from the viking realms, BRO tags along because he's a bro, wants to see the world. They join a merc group, though MC is distant and grieving for a while. MC begins struggling with his worldview, wants to believe in valkyries to see her again but witnesses cruel reality. Tries desperately to fight in glorious battles, but just isn't cut out for typical viking glory, better suited to ranged/assassin work and hates it because valkyries only come for glorious deaths

Cut to ~15 years later, BRO and MC are training new recruits for merc group, MC is happier but still grieves for Loveint

After a 'routine' monster extermination mission MC and BRO are fighting off hordes of (swarm monster here)
Keeps getting small injuries, but they don't hurt
Getting harder and harder to hear BRO, but he's right here, why is he so hard to hear
BRO gets injured, knocked unconscious
Still fighting, but she's there, walking towards MC and BRO in all her beauty
Tears in his eyes, he keeps fighting "Not yet, not yet, I can save him"
Keeps fighting, she keeps getting closer, calm music is playing
MC thinks she's coming for BRO
She's coming for him (MC)
He dies happy as the merc friends carry him and BRO off the battlefield

Interesting premise, but in a show that revolves around only 2 characters, they both need to be really strong in order for it to be effective. Also, try to avoid making your leading villain organization a bunch of telepaths killing assholes for no reason since that leads to larger problems with the plot. Good material that takes a likable concept and explores it from a different angle.

Our MC is a girl who has no interest in making friends in her new class. She is very rude, narcissistic, and also flat-chested. As a result, she often ends up breaking people's cherished possessions.

She stores damaged objects all throughout her home. These pieces of damaged furniture and other items scare her, emitting a strange aura due to their damages. She can see this aura due to the teachings of of her grandparents. They taught her that each piece of furniture and housewares should be respected, Though she desires to repair these items, she has no skills or tools.

One day, she hears a loud hammering and the whirring of power tools coming from her neighbor's backyard. When she goes to look, she sees her classmates cutting wood and building furniture. Inspired by their skills (and big boobs) she asks the other girls if they could give her guidance in the art of furniture repair.

Every day she learns the ins and outs of DIY construction and repair, and uses these skills to restore her possessions, healing the objects' auras, and as her skills grow so too does her chest.

One day, all sorts of fantasy races begin to magically appear in our world (like in big cities and stuff). Dragons, elves, orcs, you name it. The show would follow the political and general fallout that ensues through the lens of some high schooler/college student that eventually gets assigned a monster girl or something as a roommate. Basically it's like a slice of life with realpolitik going on in the background: new magic being worked into the education system and general technology, some elements of racism and the like, interspecies romance logistics, etc.

tl;dr Monmusu but it actually focuses on the interesting setting instead of wasting it as an excuse for monstergirl fanservice

In my mind, this would be a very long running shounen that matures as it goes along. Each of these items serves a different purpose and some are more important than others. The book is mainly a plot device used to give the characters some orientation and provide for plot events that would happen in season 5. The sword is crazy important for the first season but falls out of use until later. The Navigator is an honest to goodness character with a semi-unique backstory and motivation. All in all the plot I have would span roughly 10 seasons, and I have a lot of the main details for each season mapped out as well as various character arcs. I'd be willing to post if anyone was interested

>they decide that they need to go now. they find a ship that is going the wrong way. so Ryouko forces a change in minds. which causes harm to the crew. so bad that one is put in a coma and some others lose memories.
>it's upsetting to the girls, but it also made Ryouko shine like the sun to the public safety telepath. section 10 also just reports from Nagasaki police about sightings of the girls. the government telepath, to keep a bead on ryouko, is tormenting her with halluciations. though this exchange has made them both very noticeable to the stranger. the tormenting is also keeping ryouko too occupied to defend her self against the incoming agents.
>ryouko is freaking out badly. so Emiko has to hold her tightly and try to calm her.
>the stranger, acting against his better instincts, intervenes. giving the government telepath a psychic kick in the nuts. the government telepath ignores it at first but the stranger grabs his attention. this breaks connection to ryouko but it is too late. the stranger and the govt Tele engage in a battle in the mind space. (represented as a physical fight between their avatars). the govt tele in his drugged state is powerful but lacks control.
>the agents' helicopter nears. ryouko is being calmed by emiko. the helicopter opens a side door and a man with a machine gun opens fire. they will just write the ship off as "pirates and drug deal gone bad".
>emiko is grazed by a bullet and screams. ryouko can't reach the agents' minds because of shielding in helmets. so she reaches out and starts touching things in the helicopter.
>the stranger realizes he can only battle to a stalemate. his extreme control can't make up the raw power difference. so he starts hopping bodies of the agents in the building around the govt tele. hanging around just enough to compel them to something destructive. the govt tele frustrated by the battle cannot think to jam the stranger. as the stranger had done to him those weeks ago.

Again, why does the audience care about the origins of alchemy, an arbitrary system unrelated to anything real? And I meant more along the lines of "What sort of person is MC?" What will make the audience invest themselves in him? A worldbuilding screed alone is fine if you're giving context for a game of DnD, but it does not make for an appealing story concept in its own right. Story happens when people take action, so I'd like to hear more about your people and less about your involved magic system.

“Errant Medley”

A disgraced knight vows to redeem herself by retrieving the mythical Golden Apples to cure the sickly prince. Almost a decade of literally fruitless questing ensues before she finally acquires the apples, only for a new problem to present itself: how the hell is she going to get home? But fortunately for her—or perhaps not—she soon meets a traveling relic peddler with a cart who offers to take her all the way back to her kingdom in exchange for one of the apples. She agrees, and the long journey home begins. But between the knight’s careless altruism, the relic peddler’s machinations, and the various needy strangers they meet along the road, will there be any apples left for the prince?

The story is told as an episodic adventure series with occasional episodes that advance the overall arc of the story, dealing with the knight and the relic peddler’s respective pasts. If possible, it would draw heavily from a musical style incongruous with the medieval setting. As the two travel, two additional characters join the group: the ghost of a martyr whose relics the peddler is carrying around for mysterious reasons, and a headstrong young man who appoints himself the knight’s squire. The stock of magical apples is a constant point of conflict, as are the inherent conflicts in the team’s personalities. The final act deals with the knight’s return home and the events that transpire there, with a more bitter than sweet conclusion.

>Interesting sketches. What are their chief motives?
Initially survival. The 'queen' from the quiet girl's group is a dreamer who talks about freeing the serfs and all that stuff that the quiet girl finds extremely unrealistic.
The MC just wants to survive and know what the hell is going on as well initially, then thinks he can outsmart everyone, falls flat on his face and resigns but he soon realises how OP the 'godsend' reputation can be and starts turning things around, as he gets more and more ambitious.

>the govt tele lashes out, just as the stranger wanted. the govt tele is hoping by killing everyone around him. he can catch the stranger and the feed back from being connected to a dying body will take the stranger out of the fight.so the public safety section 10 agents and staff start dropping like flies. which has agents scrambling to neutralize their tele. guard completely down, the stranger breaks what little grasp of control the govt tele had left. which upon seeing the agents burst into the room. causes the govt tele nuke the area telepathically. killing everyone and mortally wounding the stranger.
>ryouko manages to pull the some hydraulics. the helicopter falls into the water. an agent survives. though with out his helmet. emiko gets possessed by a dying stranger. he tells ryouko that he is dying, but he has caused great harm to public safety section 10. it will be years before they can get back to operating. so she needs to plant a memory in the surviving agent's head., that she and emiko are dead. then come up and take the stranger's residence for their own.
>coast guard arrives later that day. the girls slip away unnoticed. the ship crew is dazed, bloodied, and one is dead. the agent reports the girls' death, but there is no one to report to, other than the normal authorities.
>6 months later. the girls are on the stranger's island. they established new identities and run a small tea shop. the mysterious death of everyone in a city block is still the top news story. as the government cannot give and answer and is starting to be accused of a cover up.

This sounds really nice, you have a lot of potential in this story since you can really add any type of character you can think of and they'll fit in. I know it's episodic but a small suggestion would be to have maybe an antagonizing force be slowly built up each chapter until the final act. An example could be maybe the sick prince has two younger brothers, one joins the knight's journey on her way back because he thought she couldn't get the Golden Apples on her own and wanted to help. The other brother secretly wants the throne to himself. He planned to have the knight assassinated before she returned and pretend that his brother's death was unavoidable. Either way you have a lot of possibilities with this story.

A recent college dropout with a lifetime full of regrets falls asleep one night only to reawaken as his middle school self. He has gone back in time, but has somehow retained all of his memories as a 23 year old failure. He resolves to get his life right this time around, and sets out to correct all the mistakes that had been gnawing away at him for years.

He was kind of a sperg in middle school, but with 10 years of emotional development he is able to see that the people he had once looked down upon or hated were actually nice people. His former self shunned girls and would've never recognized it if one was interested in him, but this time around he adopts a much more open, friendly persona, and before you know it he's been with half the girls in the school! Every time he befriends somebody new and learns who they really are, he marvels at how he could have possibly closed himself off from such wonderful people.

School had never been a problem for him before, so it's a breeze the second time around. With all the time in the world on his hands, he pulls all kinds of crazy pranks he wished he'd done back in the day, all while achieving top marks in his classes.

He is particularly happy with how the reset has affected his family life. Before, he had gradually witnessed his parents give up on his career prospects, his character, even his ability to give them grandchildren. But now he can hear the pride in their voices whenever they talk about him, and this motivates him to reach not only for the college of his dreams, but well beyond.

As his life progresses from middle school to high school, he rides higher and higher on a wave of confidence that eventually leads him to the most important thing he'd been lacking before: a sense of purpose.

>MC is a young college graduate that moves to a small town to be a teacher
>he meets a frumpy Christmas cake
>all is well until a demon is set loose in the town
>boy and cake end up being attacked by demon
>after much hesitation the boy morphs into sentai suit
>turns out the kid is a veteran that has lead seven different super sentai teams a la Tommy Oliver
>he beats the demon easily, but then several dozen more demons pop up
>there's no way he can beat them alone
>frumpy cake transforms, revealing she is a retired legendary magical girl
>when she transforms, she's basically still wearing the costume tailor made for a little girl, so the skirt is super short, midriff is exposed and the buttons on her dress look like they're about to pop
>running gag has the demons asking her if she's okay or subtly implying that she's gotten fat
>the two of them defeat army of demons
>because it's a small town and because the big cities are infested with demons, the actual modern day sentai and magical girl teams are stretched too thin to defend every small town
>MC and Christmas cake reluctantly take up their mantles again, teaming up as duo to fight demons
>show also explores what life was like beyond their planet saving careers
>cake has to deal with getting older, settling down to find a husband before her biological clock runs out. she also has to deal with little girls not knowing who the fuck she is. lots of parallels between life as a magical girl and the idol industry that basically chews you up and spits you out.
>MC is slightly less of a social wreck. he gets random phone calls in the middle of the night from the current leader of his old super sentai team who's basically a super needy guy who needs constant reassurance that he's doing an okay job as the leader. he's also put on a little weight, so he struggles to get in shape and get rid of his disgusting dad bod stomach pudge sticking out his skin tight suit

>Again, why does the audience care about the origins of alchemy, an arbitrary system unrelated to anything real?
Because it derives from the very theme or setting of the opposites of faith and knowledge. The enemy country wishes to destroy the source of faith but the country that the mc is currently fighting for does not know this yet. Essentially, alchemy is the act of using power within man's hands instead borrowing power from the metaphysical realm. Analogy of feeding yourself vs. being fed by your master.
> Who is the mc?
MC starts off as someone whose parents have long-since and abandoned him. He was part of an orphanage under the religion that supports faith. He prayed but his true desire and feelings were never answered. Therefore, he lost faith. One day, his master was rejected help despite when he was dying of illness and couldn't make his own medicine and was refused assistance from the people that could technically help him, but didn't, knowing the absolute law of knowingly helping those who have been forsaken shall be unable to call power from Grimoires (the religion tested those seeing if they can recite a prayer under their healing services, if they couldn't bring out the power of attributes, then they were deemed as alchemists and rejected), of course, the master was rejected and let out into the streets. The protagonist secretly helped him through the master's instructions on how to make a medicine (through alchemy). The orphanage found this out and kicked the mc out. The master took him in as an apprentice, in reality, the master faked his illness mostly as a test that he does across place to place (out of humor) and the protagonist was the only one who did not reject or even yelled at the master after helping him (those who knowingly did help had their lives essentially for helping an alchemist and lashed out on the master). He found interest and joy under the tutelage of his master, fulfilling his true desire, a true family. Cont.

>story takes place in a world where technology is slightly more advanced than today
>due to the upper atmosphere containing a dense sphere of radioactive materials, air-craft and all technology related to aircraft (jets, missles etc.) have never been invented
>instead, military technology has progressed to use mecha, tanks and artillery
>modernist thought has also not occurred, and the denizens of this world are highly patriotic

>there are 2 superpowers in the world, a mongol-like nation in the North, which has an amazing military, but is generally not that wealthy. The other superpower is a Roman-esque nation that is the current hegemon.
>the 2 nations go to war after the not-mongols invade an ally of the not-romans
>the story follows the military campaigns of both sides

>in general, the not-romans, despite having (slightly) superior military technology, use force of numbers to battle
>most of their generals are of the armchair variety because the nation has been peaceful for the last century or so, however as the series progresses, the generals' plans get more and more tactical as they learn from their mistakes

>the not-mongols have a smaller population, but their soldiers are very battle hardened and well trained
>this goes for their generals as well, which often leads to miraculous victories against superior numbers

One day, the master went into the country that has not yet declared an enemy country, yet it was still rather dangerous as tensions within the country were high between the religion and hierarchy. He chose to stay behind (due to tensions still being bad, the master decided to leave him and promised to come back), and soon, it was soon declared war within the country after weeks of departure. Worrying for his master and the ensuing war, he was later invited by the enemy country's palace. He soon found out his master's high position within the country. In that process, he found his master's state to be insanity, talking to thin air, immersed ongoing research and found out that sounds insane and impossible: destroying the Plane of Existance. Without finding the actual reason and seeing the man he considered to be his father to no longer be so, he ran away. Feeling betrayed by his pupil, the protagonist is essentially deemed an enemy but declared to be captured if caught within the enemy country's army. Eventually after a year of the war going on and the technology that began to become revolutionized in the enemy country. The protagonist wanders to old places he and his master been throughout the year. Finally, he stops running and starts wanting to put an end to his master's madness, while finding the reason.
