Khara and Trigger breaking off was a good thing. Studios splintering is just how the industry works. Most of the big studios nowadays producing great shows started out by breaking off from older, bigger studios.

Khara gave us that whole series of neat shorts, and trigger, well trigger is still trying. Gainax may be all but gone, but that's just the way of things. All good things must end.
