I finally brought myself to watch all of endless 8. It was OKAY.

The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was actually permanent. Next volume fucking never.

I haven't watched the original series in almost a decade but it was pretty good the first time. Never watched Endless 8. Disappearance was very good but only saw that one time around its release as well.

It was full of standard animu tropes but executed well and Kyon is a likable MC.

Probably one of my favorite shows, probably more for nostalgia then anything else.
There was supposed to be some announcement this year but that ain't happening.

Nagato chan was...eh, it's like giving a dehydrated person piss, it's horrible but really your at the point where your starving for content. I just wish they made some kinda ova or movie that gave the anime some kinda closure.

Then I can go read the Manga and be disappointed all over again and sorta lay the series to rest.

Yeah. It was seriously popular here, when it was brand new. But there were a handful of people convinced it was "the next Futakoi Alternative" (awesome first episode, but falling apart very quickly), and a few who insisted that Fujioka Haruhi of Ouran High School Host Club was "the superior Haruhi".

And then of course it got really popular, so /a/ declared it shit.
