Here was the deal, her character was shocking in the face of the other idealized heroines, so she gained controversy, Nasu freaked out about a heroine being so divided amongst a fanbase so he meme'd it up for a few years. Kinda like what he does with Ciel, and Kohaku is literally nothing but memes now. Maybe that was why Tamamo went that route.

Anyway, Sakura ended up having steady fans by Hollow, and by 2007 or so, was pretty loved, so he only lightly jokes about her being "unpopular".

By 2008 she had gotten top ten in the All TM Character Popularity Poll, and then, by the most recent All TM character poll during Zero airing, she was number 8. That was when he really decided to stop meme'ing so hard about her being unpopular, even when she was pretty damn popular for years, both in the company and in the fandom. I guess even there, it's hard to shake memes.

Nip Sakura fans are actually pretty loyal but chill dudes. Might surprise some Western fans to hear that of course.

If it had been Deen or the F/Z director doing it, she would be fucked, because they'd play up her yandere side like crazy (and probably even try to imply she's the one behind the shadow murders) while disregarding the rest of her personality and the reasons she's going crazy. Sudou should hopefully be able to understand that the "ooo so spooky crazy Sakura" interludes did more harm than good and cut them, though. Nasu once said that Rin is the heroine of the ass and not the chest, implying that's what Sakura would be, but I think that's wrong. The sisters represent two different ideals of ass. Rin is the smaller, tighter but certainly wonderfully shaped ass that fits with more her toned body. Sakura is the bigger, wider and plump looking ass that fits with her softer body yet doesn't go overboard.

Both are correct, and both deserve appreciation that I can only hope we'll see on the silver screen in the coming future.

I know that there's *supposed* to be a dedicated translator, but I also know that he hasn't given a schedule (as was customary before), and hasn't said a word about it in around a month. Nobody seems to even react to it on BL. There is also other real translators actively posting in the SF thread, but not translating any of the material - even the stuff they post *in the thread*. These things, combined, sincerely concern me.

Additionally: it took ~8 months for the previous volume to be fully-translated, not "two or three". It was released in early May 2016, and the last translations came out in late December. This is another concern.
