Full versions of anime OP/EDs are almost always just

>chorus 1 (shown in the anime)
>part 2 (part 1 with different lyrics)
>chorus 2 (may or may not have different lyrics)
>short bridge (which is usually trash)
>chorus 1 + chorus 2
Usually the full version only ends up being shit if they try to be a little more creative with the song but fail at making it good.

This a huge problem with pop songs in general. For some reason everybody thinks that you need a bridge in every song, even if it's shit.

That's how song structure works, pal.

ABCABX is a very common song structure, because it's so basic. Even the "guitar solos" are usually just bridges, the line between a short solo and a long bridge is pretty fuzzy.

Most musicians aren't Mozarts, they make pretty basic music.

Personally, usually the strength of the C part is the make or break for me, sometimes even more so than the chorus. Ironic that you posted a Bat, Gatari is pretty consistent with getting it down right.
